Summary
a poem
Note
cw: character death (nothing too graphic)

my wings
not of feathers or scales or bones
but air
they're made of air
and my wings made of air,
they're invisible

you, Barty
are the radiant sun
(the biggest star)
I'm not the moon
(though my name is a star)
but you tell me,
‘‘Regulus,
you're the whole universe’’

in the end though,
my wings of air couldn't beat the lake,
or the inferi crawling about its waters

in the end though,
I died
and it didn't make a difference
that you told me that I'm the whole universe
and it didn't make a difference
that you were the sun
