Diagon Alley pt 1
Harry and Ilvymore tilted their heads at what Alastor was saying.
"But what if we don't know what our human form is?" asked Ilvymore.
Alastor turned towards her, "It's quite simple really, you just focus on what you looked like before you were dead and will yourself to return back into that form," he said, as if it was simple.
"I must admit," he continued, "for Harry and Charlie it will be a touch more... challenging but I am sure you will eventually get it."
Vaggie frowned at him, "Last time you didn't go to the human world with a disguise, I don't understand why we have to."
Alastor's smile seemed to widen, "Well my dear, when I visited I had already discussed the situation with the wizards! We'll be heading into a fully inhabited place, no one will know what we are! Do you truly want to take the risk of what could happen?"
"You said Harry and Ilvymore will be able to go to this school without disguising themselves as humans, were you lying about that?"
"Oh no my dear, I am a man of my word! This is simply another example of discussing the situation beforehand, you should truly try to start trusting me!"
Vaggie looked like she was about to argue but Charlie put a her hand over Vaggie's, effectively calming her down.
"Well I guess if we want to figure this out we should start trying, shouldn't we?" Asked Harry as he stood up.
The others (excluding Alastor of course, who already knew how to shift into his human form) nodded and began to try and shift into their own human forms.
-------------------
It took a couple of hours and quite a few failed attempts, but in the end the four of them managed to figure out how to shift into a human disguise.
Alastor had shifted first and he looked surprisingly... tame. Especially compared to his demon counterpart. He had slightly tanned skin, brown hair and brown eyes, though his figure looked a bit more like a human male's. His smile was now a normal human size, it was still pretty unsettling but in a more... human way, to say the least. He'd changed into a simple brown suit along with matching pants, all in all, no one would guess that this was one of Hell's most feared residents.
Vaggie had been the next to shift. Her grey skin had changed into a chocolate brown color, her eyes a dark brown. Her hair was also brown, her fringe hid one of her eyes so they couldn't really tell if her eye was back to how it was before the X covered it, but all in all she looked beautiful. Though unlike Alastor her figure had stayed the exact same. She'd changed into a white shirt covered by a blue overall dress.
Ilvymore had figured out how to do it next, her skin turned a dark brown colour, eyes a chocolate brown. Her hair was still short but curlier and just black, without the gold. She was still boney and skinny but she looked a bit healthier (though she did now have eyebags). She was wearing an oversized top with a pentagram in it's centre and jeans. She no longer had the wings, tail or wolf ears.
Harry figured it out a couple of seconds before Charlie did. His hair stayed black and his skin was now just a pale beige colour instead of blue-ish white, his eyes were more of an emerald colour instead of a bright green. His horns disappeared and when he ran his tongue over his teeth none of them were as sharp as his normal teeth were. His hair still seemed to defy gravity though and he'd changed into an oversized crop top that was black along with a set of jeans.
Charlie was the last to shift (which was understandable considering that she was the only one who hadn't ever been to the human world. Even Harry had been there at one point, even though he couldn't actually remember cause he was a baby). Her eyes turned into a pretty crystal blue and her skin stayed pretty similar, though her teeth did loose a lot of their sharpness. She'd changed into a red shirt and black flare pants.
"I told you all you would get it eventually!" Alastor said cheerfully.
Harry frowned, "well you could have helped a bit more y'know?"
Alastor shrugged, "to Diagon Alley we go!"
He pulled out a book and did something strange, a portal appeared and Alastor gestured for everyone to walk through. Once everyone was out the portal closed, not that most of them were paying attention. Harry and Charlie were smiling at the surroundings, both of them taking a deep breath in and looking around at the people walking by, laughing and looking happy.
"This is... incredible," Charlie said, looking absolutely amazed at the places around her.
The other three looked at the two of them in confusion for a second before realizing that neither of them had really seen much of the human world before. Charlie was born in Hell and Harry was brought down there as a child, meaning that even though the other demons had been in Hell for a few years and were quite surprised at what some of the things looked like, Harry and Charlie were surprised at the very way of life that existed here.
"Well, first things first! We need to get you this strange 'wizard money they have here. Chop chop!" Alastor said, starting to make his way through the crowd.
Harry and the rest of them sped up to catch up to him (he was surprisingly nimble and quick) "Where are we going to get money from?" asked Harry.
"Your vault of course my dear boy!"
"My what now?"
"Ah, of course I hadn't told you yet, my dear boy your parents left quite the riches for you, in fact you are one of the richest families in England's wizarding world I believe!"
Harry slowed down, looking surprised. He turned to Ilvymore, "I'm England's wizarding world's what now?"
She shrugged, "c'mon we're behind, maybe Alastor'll explain once he stops walking. Seriously how the fuck is that man so fast?"
Harry chuckled and the two of them hurried to catch up to the others.
--------------------
Once they did catch up they were standing in front of a large, pearly white bank.
"This is were we're going? I feel kinda underdressed." muttered Ilvymore. Harry snorted, though he secretly agreed.
"Don't worry, I am sure that you will be fine!" Alastor said, pushing them inside. As they walked by harry saw a plaque on the side of the building which read:
Enter, stranger, but take heed
Of what awaits the sin of greed,
For those who take, but do not earn
Must pay most dearly in their turn.
So if you seek beneath our floors
A treasure that was never yours,
Thief, you have been warned, beware
Of finding more than treasure there.
"So don't steal from here, got it," muttered Harry as he read it.
They walked past multiple creatures, they had hooked noses and long pointed ears, most of them seemed to be staring at them. They went up to the largest desk at the back of the room.
"Hello! We're here for Harry Potter!" Alastor said pointing at Harry.
The creature's eyes widened, before he recomposed himself, "Key."
Harry was confused, they didn't have a key, did that mean he wasn't allowed to inherit the money?
Alastor pulled out a golden key and handed it to the creature, "here you go."
He studied it and nodded, "Griphook!" he called out.
Another one of the creatures walked out, the first one handed the key to Griphook, "please take them to the Potter vaults," Griphook nodded and made a gesture for them to follow him.
They were led to a small cart and told to get in, it was a bit of a squish but they all managed to fit. Then the cart started to zoom around through tunnels. Harry was doing okay along with Alastor and Ilvymore but Vaggie and Charlie both looked like they were about to vomit.
"Does that thing go any slower?" a sick looking Charlie asked as she got out.
Griphook smiled "Only one speed."
"Wonderful," muttered Vaggie quietly.
Griphook walked forward towards a door and it revealed the most amazing amounts of riches. They all gasped, except for Alastor that was, but he wasn't exactly surprised by anything.
Harry looked up at Alastor "exactly how much of this stuff do I need?"
"I am not quite certain my dear boy," he said with a shrug, he then handed Harry a bag to keep the money in. Harry stared at him, great, the only thing that he didn't know and it could be extremely important to him.
Harry stepped forwards and along with Ilvymore, scooped a couple of the bronze coins, silver coins and gold coins and hoped that it would be enough to last both teens.
They all then got back into the cart and after another sickening ride they all got out. They were about to exit when Harry suddenly stopped.
"Wait a second, I gotta go ask something," he then turned around and walked back towards the desk. "Excuse me?" he asked the front creature. He turned to look at Harry.
"Uh, I'd like to ask if you could change the Potter vaults into the Magne vault and inform me if any outside forces were to attempt to take money from the vaults?" he asked politely.
"Yes that is possible," the creature ducked his head beneath the desk and pulled up with a quill, some papers and a sharp blade. Harry read through the papers and nodded at the creature. The creature handed him the blade, "you must sign this form in your own blood to make it official."
Harry grabbed the blade and with a bit of hesitation slit part of his hand open, he then grabbed the quill and used his own blood in order to sign the form. "Thanks," Harry said, he bowed slightly before exiting and following his family.
