Harry's Wizarding Ancestry
It was a couple of days after Ilvymore's birthday when it happened.
He got up, took a shower and went to go see if Ilvymore happened to be awake. Unsurprisingly she was, working on another one of her drawings. It was quite beautiful, a lovely sunset over ocean, he had no idea how she could still even remember what a top world ocean looked like, or if it was even a little bit accurate but he still thought it was beautiful so he'd just ignore it.
Apparently it was made by a paying customer (she still needed a job, Harry didn't let her steal and the king and queen of hell weren't exactly kind enough to give her an allowance) and it was apparently due in a couple of days.
They had both walked down to the breakfast bar, there were steaming bowls of Jambalaya on the bar and they took them over to the table next to Allie, the newest member of the Hotel.
She was a demon who hadn't done a whole lot of bad things as a human, in fact she had only stolen when she needed to and had killed one person on accident. When she had heard of the Hazbin Hotel she instantly decided to go live there, she didn't want to be stuck in Hell forever after all.
She was a reptilian style demon, she was short but had a long forked tongue, scaly skin, yellow eyes and claws. At the same time she round and it gave her a cute look along with the casual dressing you could tell she wasn't really a bad person. She liked to read and had actually gotten on with Alastor quite well because of this fact.
"Mornin' guys!" Charlie greeted them happily. Allie waved, they waved back happily and sat down next to a happily eating Angel Dust.
"Mornin' you two," he said with a smile.
"Morning," they both responded.
"Has anyone seen Alastor yet? He's meant to be helping me with something but I can't find him anywhere." Charlie said exasperatedly.
"Nope," said Ilvymore, popping the 'p'.
"Me neither, but ya gotta tell the guy that his cooking is aaaamaaaaaaaazing," Angel dust said, shoveling a spoon of hot Jambalaya into his mouth, barely flinching as the hot food hit his tongue.
Both the teens nodded along with the statement, for an evil radio demon he sure as hell could cook. They both managed to get through breakfast without a single interruption, and then Alastor walked in.
He had the usual extra creepy grin on his face and was holding on to a large pile of papers and files. "Ah, Hadrian, my dear boy, exactly who I was looking for!" he said as he walked in.
He waved that his cane and everything that wasn't nailed down or being held by something disappeared off the table. Which included Angel Dust's pig, Fat Nuggets. At that Angel looked genuinely mad.
"Hey! Give him back you deer looking Strawberry Pimp!" he said angrily, he looked like he was about to hurt Alastor, badly. I mean, Alastor would still probably win, but it would definitely damage a lot of things outside of the fight.
"I am ever so sorry! here is you pig back Angel Dust dearest," he said with a flick of his wrist the pig was back in the arms of Angel, who was still glaring at Alastor as he hugged Fat Nuggets to his chest lovingly.
"Moving onwards!" the staff of the hotel turned towards him, "I have found what I told you about dear boy! You are indeed the famous Harry Potter so many love to talk about and I might say that you have quite the interesting history!"
Harry, Ilvymore and most of the inhabitants seemed either to be surprised that he'd remembered something that they'd barely even talked about.
"Um, sorry if this is interrupting or considered rude but may I ask what you're talking about?" Asked Allie, she was the only one who hadn't been here long enough to have actually heard the conversation.
"Oh right," said Ilvymore, "Uh so Harry or Hadrian I guess, comes from the non dead people world and we had a whole conversation on where he came from but he didn't know a whole lot so Alastor kinda went to this idea that he was some famous supposedly dead guy and decided to investigate," she said.
Allie stared for a minute and then looked away towards Charlie, probably checking to see if the story was true, at the subtle nod she looked surprised but rolled her eyes, "why am I even surprised at this point," she muttered under her breath. She'd only been there for a few days but was already learning that they were a weird group of individuals. Just like the rest of hell.
Harry made a motion for Alastor to continue.
"I have looked through quite a bit of information, both from the human world and from this land," they all looked kinda surprised and confused at that. How'd he see human things, Hell creatures stayed in Hell didn't they?
"Evidence and a thorough look through you're bloodline it is in fact you who is Harry Potter! Son of Lilly Evens nee Potter and James Potter, a meant to be human wizard who's parents where killed by the followers of a certain terrorist wanna-be immortal named Voldemort. These people were called 'Death Eaters' and later put in jail once a boy named Neville Longbottom somehow managed to stop this terrorist. You should be attending your fifth year of a school named Hogwarts this September!"
Harry stared at him for a while, after some an awkward silence he stood up and said, "are you insane?"
"And what may make you think that?"
"Humans don't have magic, demons shouldn't even be ABLE to travel to the human world and how in the seven rings did you even KNOW about what or who would be IN my blood-line?"
Alastor's already too wide grin seemed to get bigger, which didn't seem possible yet there it was.
"I have my ways dear boy, I can do anything with the right information and some motivation."
That was definitely creepy, Harry was pretty sure everyone thought so.
"And why should I even believe that what you're saying is the truth?" Vaggie asked, she still didn't really trust the radio demon.
"Well I have all the evidence you could possibly ever need, this barely scratches the surface!" Alastor said motioning at the pile of papers on the table. "And if you'd allow me to talk, perhaps we'd be able to figure this entire mystery out!"
Harry rolled his eyes but sat back down anyway. "Well you might as well start talking," he muttered.
Alastor smiled that creepy grin of his and began to explain.
-------
It took quite some time and multiple of the inhabitants came and went, they had their own things to do after all. But in the end Alastor managed to tell Harry everything, Ilvymore quietly took notes as he went along.
"So these guys are actually looking for me?" Harry scoffed.
"Yes." Answered Alastor, he handed Harry a letter with a fancy stamp on the front of a badger, snake, lion and eagle all around a fancy looking H. He opened it and read the contents, it stated all he would need for his fifth year at 'Hogwarts' whatever that was.
"Where'd you even get this?" asked Ilvymore.
"I don't reveal my secrets my dear." was Alastor's response.
Ilvymore rolled her eyes, "whatever you say deer man."
Alastor frowned but chose to ignore it. Harry was still looking at it intensely.
"And what do you think about this letter and this school?" asked Alastor.
"Well it's certainly interesting," he muttered quietly. He had reached the part about needing an animal. It confused him quite a bit, he understood an owl but a cat? And what in the 7 rings was he supposed to do with a fucking TOAD that didn't even make sense.
He passed it to Ilvymore who skimmed over it, pausing a bit at the animal section before handing it right back to Harry, who threw it back at the table.
"I'm not sure what you're trying to do, or why you want me to find this stuff out, but I don't trust you, not to mention this could be fake and if it was real I don't actually know what these people want with me so Imma just pass there buddy."
Alastor swept his hand over the piles of paper, causing it to all disappear.
"Well, I do need entertainment, not to mention I don't always enjoy when someone doubts my ability to collect information."
Harry saw what was happening now. Of course he wanted more entertainment then just some random hotel, and after Harry hadn't really believed that he was 'Harry Potter the famous human supposedly dead baby' he supposed Alastor had either taken it as a personal challenge or an insult of some sort.
"Well how do I know that you aren't lying?"
"I can always get proof for you, have a conversation with the humans that want to meet you... would you like to make it a deal?"
Harry cast a quick look at Ilvymore, he wasn't exactly sure what to do in this situation and apparently neither did she from the look on her face.
"No, I would not," he said, but a small part of him still wanted the information. What was he supposed to do? He then had an idea, he wasn't sure it would work, but it had worked for Charlie so it should be fine if he was careful about it. "Instead, as uh Prince of Hell and son of Lucifer and Lilith Magne I order you Alastor the radio demon, to have a conversation and then tell me what these people want."
"My, my, just like your sister, but as I'm doing this partially for my own entertainment I will allow it." Alastor then turned around and walked out of the room.
Ilvymore and Harry stared at each other for a long amount of time before both bursting out into laughter and walking out of the room themselves.
----------
It wasn't until a few days later that the plan actually started in motion. After all Charlie and Vaggie still were extremely suspicious of the radio demon.
Eventually they had approved though, Angel, Husk, Nifty and Allie didn't really seem to care. Why would they? It didn't exactly need anything from them.
"Well I will be setting off!" Alastor said dramatically from where he was. It was night and everyone was eating. Spaghetti Bolognese made by the demon in front of them actually.
They all waved him off. Harry would never admit it but he was actually a bit excited, he wondered what this would lead to. And what type of people would look for him. Well, he'd have to wait to find out, he supposed.
