If anyone ever wants a continuation of a story, please ask! I'd be happy to continue my drabbles if anyone wants to read them.

From the first time she saw the shiny badge and saw (never experienced) the noble chastising, Hermione knew she wanted to be Head Girl. How could she refuse when offered the position for her 8th year?

If she knew who the Head Boy was, she might have refused.

Might have.

She thought she would be partner with a fellow do-gooder, such as the timid Ernie MacMillion, or the charming Anthony Goldstein.

Hermione knew she was in trouble the moment she saw a pristine black trunk bearing the Slytherin crest in the Head’s Common Room.

One of the three doors in the common room opened, and a muscular, platinum haired boy — man now, she thought — walked into the room. Hermione looked into his eyes and braced herself for the incoming attack. But she was surprised to discover something akin to sadness in his eyes.

“Granger.” He nodded to her, his tone lacking the usual Malfoy arrogance and cruelty. “Your room is that door. I assumed you would want the the room with built-in bookcases.” He faintly gestured to the door next to his.

Hermione was stunned. How was he made Head Boy?

Why isn’t he mocking her? Why does he seem sad?

“How did you know I was Head Girl? I wasn’t told you were Head Boy.” She queried.

The sadness in his eyes amplified while his facial expression remained empty and even. “I was warned before accepting my position.”

“Warned? Why? Concerned about my sullying up your living area?” She snapped, feeling defensive.

He flinched, so subtly that if she wasn’t staring at him intently she would’ve missed it. “No. I was warned that any untoward behavior with you would result in my expulsion.”

He seemed uncomfortable now, looking away from her and rubbing his head.

“Apologies are in order. For my behavior towards you all these years, and my cowardice during the war. I do not expect forgiveness and you deserve far more than a mere apology.”

He began to walk away but froze when she spoke, his back turned from her.

“Thank you, Draco.” She couldn’t see it, but the corners of his mouth turned up slightly at that. She looked around and sighed. “I guess we’re roommates now.”

THREE WEEKS LATER

“Tell me, Granger, am I behaving in an untoward manner?” Draco asked from his position in between her legs. He looked into her eyes as his resumed his slow, tortious swipe of her slit with his tongue.

Hermione could not be happier with her roommate.
