Chapter 8
Both girls locked eyes with each other as the rest of their house cheered on the first year, Lily watched Skyla walk over with pride and sit next to her “I knew it!” they both said, both happy to know they would see each other more often than before.
Eyes stared at the two girls from afar, a smirk rose to their face, and they soon whispered “soon- everything will be in place, watch out you little Ravenclaws, for what’s to come will surely be the last thing you will ever see”, they walk down the Hogwarts hallways, soon vanishing in a puff of smoke.
The girls ate and laughed at the table, as the night went on, they met more people who had the same interests as them, Skyla’s dragon popping out her hair to steal some meat at times from her, her being slightly annoyed when it stole her chicken, the night went on and they were sent to their dorm rooms, the girls headed to their shared dorm room and saw all their stuff there, Lily started to unpack her stuff and put everything away while Skyla was looking for something “what are you looking for?” Lily looked over at her friend, a little panicked.
“I can’t find it! I can’t find him!” she seemed panicked, Lily was confused, who was she referring to? When suddenly Skyla pulled out a blue teddy bear, with a bow around it, Lily walked over to her friend and put her hand on her shoulder, “you brought him?” Skyla looked at her friend and smiled, “he would have loved it here…so I had to bring him…he would have wanted to learn magic…” she puts the bear on her nightstand and smiled, Lily smiled “he would of”.
The two girls had finished unpacking everything, Lily’s side of the room was a double bed with fairy lights wrapped around the poles and support beams where the curtains were, hanging polaroids of her favourite memories with them, her nightstand had a galaxy lamp that made stars appear around her and her dresser was decorated with metals for making things and for studying, meanwhile, Skyla’s side of the room had a double bed with fairy lights around them but not polaroids, instead some drawings span around, the drawings were different creatures, symbols and things of her interest like Alice in wonderland themed drawings, musical quotes with watercolours and many more, her nightstand had a blue bear nearby a sentenced candle of lavender, her dresser had drawing supplies, makeup stuff and a galaxy tea set, oddly enough it had never been used, and the question was how did she bring it here without it breaking?
Lily yawned “im heading to bed, you do whatever, just dont be loud” she got into her comfy PJs and tucked herself into bed, Skyla nodded as she set up a place under her bed for her dragon to sleep, she sat on her bed and stared at the ceiling, her thoughts getting the best of her, she looked over at Lily who was snoring louder as a bear, she smiled and opened one of her draws on her nightstand, pulling out a music box, she carefully put it by Lily and it played a sweet melody.
