Dakota was about to walk when her phone rang.
Dakota answered the phone.
"Hello?" Dakota asked the caller emotionlessly.
"Dakota, are you there?" the caller asked.
"Wait, Sam's mom? Is that you?"
"Yes, I... have news for you..."
"What's the news?" Dakota asked.
"Samuel's awake!" The woman said happily.
"W-WHAT?"
"Dakota, what happened?" Daisy asked her sister.
"Sam... He's awake!" Dakota said happily.
Tomy, Nina, Scarlett, Mike, and Daisy cheered at this news.
"Let's go to the patient who's awake!" Daisy said happily.
"Okay! Let's go!" Dakota said happily.
Dakota was about to go downstairs when she took one last look at Heather.
Heather was looking away with tears in her eyes. Then she looked at Dakota. Her eyes seemed to say "don't go".
Dakota clenched her fist. She wouldn't do this again. She wouldn't fall for her again.
Dakota left with the others.
The girls looked at Heather. Then they decided to leave her alone and left her side.
Bad girl Heather was left all alone.
Heather looked at her phone.
She went on Whatsapp. Dakota had blocked her...
She had even left the group...
Then someone called Heather.
It was Nichelle.
Heather hesitated whether to answer or not but finally decided to answer.
"Hey Nichelle. How are you?" Heather tried to talk to Nichelle as if nothing had happened.
"I heard the news Heather. You've gone too far, girl, too far!" Nichelle told her close friend.
"I...-" Heather was about to say something when Nichelle interrupted.
"I don't want to hear this anymore. I just wanted to call you one last time. We're not going to be friends anymore. We're going to kick you out of the group and get Dakota back or start a new group." Nichelle said.
"Nich..."
"The thing that upsets me the most is... Even Julia made up with Bowie, you played with an innocent child's life. Also, remember when you said to Julia, "You're worse than me"? That's the bad guy right there. Julia can at least learn from her mistakes and turn new pages. You're ruining pages that don't exist." Nichelle said.
"Nich... I..."
"I'm not mad... I'm just disappointed..."
Nichelle hung up.
Heather looked at WhatsApp. She had been kicked out of the group. She had even been kicked out of her class group. Nichelle had blocked Julia and even Lindsay...
"What did I do?"
Heather started to cry.
On the other side, Dakota and the others arrived at the hospital. Dakota entered the room and saw Sam.
"Saaammmmm!"
Dakota hugged Sam.
"Dakota!" Sam called out to her friend.
"So how did she wake up?" Scarlett asked.
"Priya, it happened because of some of her daughter's medical knowledge. She tried some things and it worked! Sam is still alive because of her!" Samantha said.
"Thanks Priya, you're a lifesaver!"
Dakota hugged Priya.
"That's my girl!"
Damien hugged his girlfriend and kissed her.
"So how long will she be in the hospital?" Daisy asked.
"I think a week." Sam's mother answered.
"Awwww, it's going to be sad not seeing you." Sam told her friend.
"It's okay Sam... I'll always visit you after school. And you know what?" Dakota asked.
"What?" Sam asked.
"That!"
Dakota kissed Sam. They stood there like that for a few seconds and then Dakota pulled back.
Sam blushed.
"So does that mean...?"
"Yeah! I'll go out with you!" Dakota told her new boyfriend.
"Awww Dakota! You made me the happiest man in the world!" Sam told his new girlfriend.
Then the two kissed again.
Mike looked at them happily. Then his phone rang. It was his one and only boyfriend Cameron.
Mike answered the phone.
"Hey Cam!" Mike greeted his boyfriend.
"Hey Mikeyy! When are you coming home? I miss you!" Cameron told his boyfriend.
"Don't worry honey. I missed you too. I'll be back in a few minutes. Also, if you're hungry, we can order food." Mike told his boyfriend.
"That would be nice. Working really tired me out." Cameron said.
"Okay then. See you later. I love you."
"I love you too Mikeybear!"
Cameron hung up.
Mike smiled.
"I love him!"
"You're a lucky man Mike." Daisy said.
"I know and I love it." Mike told Daisy.
Afterwards they all chatted with Sam. Afterwards Tomy Nina, Mike and Scarlett left.
Damien Oliver and Priya left as well.
Priya couldn't wait to tell her family that someone had saved her life.
Dakota and Daisy stayed with Sam tonight.
In the morning Julia Nichelle Wayne Jo and Brick visited them.
"We're here!" Wayne said.
"Welcome!" Dakota said.
Wayne looked at Sam excitedly. The two started chatting. Wayne started drawing on Sam's cast with the crayons he had brought.
Julia smiled and took a picture and posted it on social media.
Nichelle and Brick were talking to Sam's mother Samantha.
Jo came to Dakota.
"Are you upset about Heather?" Jo asked her friend.
"Would it be wrong if I said I... miss her?" Dakota asked her friend.
"No. You're a good girl Dakota. Besides, she's Old Heather, she lost. She lost an iconic friend like you." Jo told her friend.
"I guess you're right." Dakota smiled at her friend and hugged her.
Julia connected to Lindsay via video chat.
"That's Sam." Julia showed Lindsay Sam.
"Is that Omar?" Lindsay asked.
"No Linds, that's Sam, the one with the glasses." Julia explained to her friend.
"Ohhh! When I saw him in white, I thought he was Omar. He wears white too!" Lindsay said.
"Meh, you're right. Owen totally dresses like that." Julia shrugged.
"Hey Jules, I finished the picture!" Wayne showed his girlfriend the picture.
The picture showed Sam and Dakota hugging each other. It wasn't the best drawing, but it sure was cute!
"Awww! That's so cute Wayne!" Julia took a picture of it.
"Not as much as you, my love." Wayne said.
Julia blushed and kissed her boyfriend.
In the following days, people like Lindsay Alejandro Topher Beth Sadie Katie Duncan visited Sam.
Beth Katie and Sadie came at Daisy's request. Duncan came at Sadie's insistence.
Sam was lying happily on his last day in the hospital. Then there was a knock on his door.
"Come in." Sam said.
When the door opened, he saw Heather.
Sam got scared and tried to press the red button next to him.
"You don't have to be scared!" Heather said to the nerdy man.
Sam stopped but was still scared of him.
"You... why did you come here?" Sam asked the queen bee.
Heather sighed.
"I..."
Heather sighed again.
"I came to apologize to you." Heather told the playful man.
"Wait, really? What if this is a trick? Why should I believe you?" Sam asked the queen bee suspiciously.
"Look, I know I'm bullying you unfairly, but I've been thinking a lot. When you're all alone, you have a lot of time. You've been through that too, haven't you?" Heather asked the gamer man.
"Yeah, but... mine was different. You deserve it." Sam told the queen bee.
"I know... my apologies won't mean anything to you, but... can you accept this gift?" Heather handed the gamer man the gift.
Sam took the gift. She opened it with her arm that hurt a little as she moved, and was surprised. The gift was one of the game consoles she wanted the most. It was an expensive brand, and Sam had always dreamed of it.
"Heather, this is... amazing!" Sam said happily to the queen bee.
"I'm glad you like it, I guess." Heather told the gamer man.
"Heather stood up as Sam examined her new console.
"Okay, I'm gonna go. Enjoy your gift. I hope you'll join us again." Heather left the room after saying this.
Heather smiled to herself as she walked away. It was the first time she had ever done something good and... she loved it. I guess being good wasn't such a bad thing after all.
1 Week Later
Heather went to school. She was walking to her classroom. In the classroom, she saw Bowie and Raj hugging each other. Bowie kissed Raj one last time. Scary Girl hugged Bowie and held Raj's hand as they walked to their classrooms.
Julia went to Bowie.
"So you're back together now, right?" Julia asked.
"Yeah... I guess they deserve each other. And I can find a much better guy." Bowie said.
"Good luck with that, butt knuckle." Julia playfully elbowed Bowie.
"Stop it." Bowie said playfully and they both laughed.
Heather took Sam's seat instead of her normal seat.
Sam and Dakota then walked into the classroom.
Dakota noticed Heather sitting in the back and then turned to her boyfriend.
"Hey babe, you want to sit in the front today?" Dakota asked her boyfriend.
"Sure, why not?" Sam sat down next to Lindsay.
"Good morning Samuel!" Lindsay waved at Sam.
"Good morning Lindsay." Sam greeted the girl as well.
Dakota smiled when she saw them. Then she moved to the back.
Heather was surprised to see Dakota.
"Hey Heat! Is your seat open?" Dakota asked her former best friend.
"Um, yeah. You can sit next to me if you want." Heather told her former best friend gently.
Dakota nodded and sat next to her.
Dakota took a deep breath.
"You know what I miss? The days when we used to sit together. You and I were so good... I still miss you...
"Are you...?" Heather asked her former best friend in surprise.
"Sure. Also, that new console looks really nice." Dakota pointed to the console Sam was playing with.
"Wait, did she tell you I bought it?" Heather asked.
"Yeah, because we're lovers and I love seeing her happy." Dakota said lovingly.
"That's nice to hear." Heather told her former best friend.
Dakota was about to get up when Heather decided to stop her.
"Dakota, can we talk?" Heather asked her former best friend.
"Okay." Dakota sat back down.
Heather looked at her former best friend. She took a deep breath and sighed.
"I want to apologize for what I did. I apologized to Sam. What I did went too far. I know that but I... I didn't know it was wrong... I couldn't help but get jealous when I saw you with him and I... I had a huge grudge against him at some point. Also, I should have told you that I met Anne Maria... I... I know I'm a bad friend. I couldn't be there for you during your tough times but... I want to be there for you now. I always... when you're not feeling well, I want to hug you and tell you that it's going to be okay. I miss you and our friendship. And our group of friends... I... I want us to be friends again... can you accept that? Do you want to be friends with me again?" Heather asked her former best friend.
Dakota looked at Heather with emotion shining in her eyes and hugged her.
All was forgiven now.
The girls were surprised by this sight but they hugged each other happily. The group had reunited.
Heather had learned her lesson and became a better person.
A message can change life. That's how Sam and Dakota's story goes.
