Chapter 5
Dakota woke up excited this morning. Today she would finally see Sam. Dakota texted her to make sure Sam would come, "You're coming to school today, right?" Sam sent the "👍" emoji. Dakota smiled. She was excited to see Sam.
Dakota and Daisy washed their hands and faces and then put on their makeup.
Afterwards they had breakfast made by Alfred.
"Mhmm! Awesome as always Alfred!" Daisy said as she ate the bacon.
"Thank you, ma'am, bon appetit girls." Alfred smiled at the girls.
While the girls were eating breakfast, Dakota's phone rang.
It was Heather calling.
Dakota smiled and answered the phone.
"Heyyy Heatthh!"
"OMG Dakkk! How are you? You're coming today, right?" Heather asked her best friend.
"I'm definitely coming, girl! It's not like I'm leaving you alone with some boogers in class!" Dakota Lightning said hinting at Alejandro.
"Come on, come on! We've got some serious gossip today!" Heather said.
"Okay, I'll be right back after I have breakfast!"
"Okay bestiee! I kiss you!"
"Me too!"
Dakota hung up her phone.
"Was it Heather?" Daisy asked.
"Yeah, it felt good to talk to my diva for a bit!"
"I advise you to be careful with him. I'm a little worried," Daisy said, warning her sister.
"Why? Did she do something wrong?" Dakota asked worriedly.
"A little, but still be careful. I'm just telling you." Dasiy said warning her sister.
"Okay then..." Dakota suppressed her anxiety and continued eating her breakfast.
After the girls finished their breakfast, they hugged Alfred and left the house.
She and Bernard got into the limousine. The girls arrived at school.
While the girls were walking in the garden, they saw Nina and Tomy kissing.
"Hey, I knew they were a couple!" Daisy pointed out.
"Not surprising." Dakota shrugged, but she was happy for them.
Dakota and Daisy entered the school. Daisy said goodbye to her sister and entered her classroom. Dakota entered his classroom.
Dakota looked at the back row. There was a nerdy boy with glasses. At first she looked at him a little strangely, but if this was Sam she was writing to, she would continue to be friends despite his appearance. Her childhood appearance judgments were over. Now that she was older, she only looked at people's inner appearances. Of course, she looked at looks a little bit, but now she understood that people's inner beauty was more important.
Dakota walked over to Sam.
"Good morning Sam." Dakota greeted Sam.
Sam was surprised. He blushed. Then he turned the other way.
"What happened, did I say something wrong?" Dakota asked worriedly.
Sam turned to the girl.
"N-No, it's just... you're beautiful but I'm ugly... I'll understand if you avoid me..." Sam explained.
"Sam... I..." Dakota was about to finish her sentence when Heather saw her best friend and hugged her.
"Daaaakkkk! You're finally here!" Heather said with great enthusiasm as she hugged her best friend.
Before Dakota could say anything, Heather spoke up.
"Come on, I HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO TELL YOU!" Heather excitedly grabbed Dakota and they left Sam's side. Sam just sighed. Then, to cheer himself up, he pulled out one of his video games and started playing it.
"Heather, what's going on?" Dakota asked in slight surprise.
"I have something important to tell you, Dak, you can talk to your friend later." Heather said the last sentence with venom, but Dakota didn't get it.
When Heather told Dakota the gossip, Dakota only thought about Sam. Sam must hate her right now. She had left him alone... Dakota felt bad.
"That's what happened after Nich and I screwed up and will probably face disciplinary action..." Heather concluded her rant.
Heather noticed Dakota was lost in thought.
"Dak, are you there?" Heather asked her best friend.
"What?" Dakota said, coming to her senses.
"Did you listen to me?" Heather asked.
"Ohh, the discipline thing?" Dakota said, shaking her head.
"Ohh! You heard me! Do you think we were right or that slutty teacher?" Heather asked her best friend.
"Of course you are, bestiee!" Dakota gave the obvious answer. She hadn't listened to the story at all, but whenever a question like that was asked, she knew Heather was right. At least that was how she responded.
"I know!" Heather said while bragging about herself.
Afterwards, Nichelle and Julia came into the classroom.
"Good morning girls," Nichelle greeted the girls.
"Lindsay has a fever, so she won't be able to come to school today..." Julia explained sadly.
"As if you really want her to come to school..." Nichelle muttered.
"Did you say something, bestiee?" Julia asked.
"Nothing, Jules," Nichelle said.
"Ewww, don't call me Jules! Tell me that, he calls me Wayne all the time and I don't like it!" Julia said angrily.
"But that's not what you said the last time you saw him in his changing room!" Nichelle said with a grin.
"Whatt? That's a total lie! I didn't catch him in the locker room!" Julia said defensively.
"Oh come on Julia, I know your mouth is watering just looking at his abs. I've seen them and those eyes never lie," Nichelle explained with a grin.
"I thought we were friends," Julia said, her lips pursed.
"We are, but you can't hide your love from us, especially from me, my dear."
Julia sighed with slight exasperation.
"Okay, okay! I might have some... feelings for him..." Julia explained, blushing.
"I knew it!" Nichelle laughed.
"Then you better not tell anyone about this. Including you girls," Julia Dakota said, pointing to Heather and Nichelle.
"Okay, your secret is safe with us... Jules." Dakota grinned at her friend.
Heather and Nichelle laughed. Julia just rolled her eyes. Nichelle and Julia sat back down.
Afterwards, Bowie, Priya and Damien entered the classroom.
A few minutes later the literary man entered.
After taking attendance, the man of letters began teaching.
The lesson was boring. Mike Lightning Jo was just a body so they thought we could play outside.
Scarlett was taking her literary notes with rapt attention.
Damien, Priya and Sam did the same.
Tomy and Nina were listening to the lesson while chewing gum.
Topher and Alejandro were chatting.
Dakota looked at Sam. He was listening well in class. He wasn't getting bored. Dakota was surprised by this but she also appreciated it. That disgusting wrinkled's class was unbearable.
Half an hour later the lesson ended. They all ran out to recess. Damien and Priya walked out hand in hand. They were both smiling. Priya even blushed.
Heather went to the cafeteria. Nichelle and Julia left the classroom for Wayne's work. Dakota went straight to Sam's.
"Hey Sam." Dakota greeted Sam with a smile.
"Hey Dakota," Sam greeted without looking at the girl.
"I... I'm sorry I left you. Heather's really caring and loves me and all. So excuse me." Dakota apologized to Sam.
"It's okay," Sam smiled nervously, but when he heard Heather's name, he looked away in fear. Sam was afraid of Heather. He could never tell Dakota that.
"Umm... I'm a little busy right now, can we talk later?" Sam asked, but he sounded nervous and scared.
"Um... Okay, but if you get bored, please come over to me, okay?" Dakota smiled and patted Sam's shoulder reassuringly.
Sam blushed. A girl other than his mother was touching him. In a good way. Sam smiled at the girl.
"Er... maybe we could talk for a bit. I'll just do my work later." Sam chuckled despite his slight nervousness.
"Sure!" Dakota smiled and sat down next to Sam.
The two of them started talking. Sam felt like he was in love with her. Dakota was impressed by him. Sure, he wasn't handsome, but... she was very, very happy to be with him. Being with Heather was boring sometimes, but being with Sam... was never boring.
Dakota gave in to her feelings for a moment and kissed Sam's cheek.
Sam was surprised and blushed even more. He was already blushing even as he spoke.
"Well, I really enjoyed our conversation. Thank you," Dakota said, smiling at Sam.
"Er... you're welcome." Sam smiled back.
Dakota saw Heather walking towards the classroom and got up from Sam and went to her own seat.
Oliver smiled at the sight and walked over to Sam.
"You love her, right?" Oliver asked with a smile.
"Well...she's really cool and doesn't judge me by my looks. I think I found the girl I was looking for," Sam explained to Oliver with a smile.
"I think she's in love with you too, I can see that." Oliver said looking at Dakota.
Sam looked at her and smiled. Although he was still surprised that such a beautiful girl was looking at him, he was very happy to be friends with her that day.
Sam loved her.

Note: Sam and Dakota finally got together. I couldn't finish the chapter well but I wanted to make it shorter. I finally announced Juliayne ;)) I was actually going to do a scene about Bowie but I decided if I did that I would do it later. You may or may not see that scene soon.
