The Self

“I'm gay” Remus blurted before he could stop the truth serum from doing its job.
Fuck, this was their worst idea yet. truth serum in firewisky? Truly a stupid fucking idea, evident by the nine faces staring at him.

Marlene broke the silence, “Rad.” At this Dorcas and Mary giggled and lily gave her a smile. Alice smiled at lupin from her perch on Frank's lap. Frank to his credit only took a few seconds to recover before giving him a slight nod and playing with Alice's hair again. Then came the reactions that Remus had dreaded the most.

Almost inaudible Peter made a noise of disgust, only heard by Remus and his keen wolf hearing. Accepting the loss of one of his best friends he looked to the other two, his eyes full of anxiety.

“For real?”

“Its verisum James, of course, it's bloody real!” Lily snapped from her spot at Remus's side.

“ Oh well, uhh..” Prongs paused to think for a moment, “As marls said, rad.”

Peter nodded emphatically and gave Remus a tight smile. Peter always went with the group and Remus wouldn’t bring up what he wasn’t to have heard but still, he knew and he would not forget.

Letting out a shaky breath Remus turned his now tearful eyes to Sirius, who was now knocking back another shot. Fuck Remus though, that can't be good.

“Ask me!!” Sirius stated simply. Remus tilted his head, confused. Before he could ask what Sirius was on about, James seemed to clue in and spoke quickly, “gay guy says what.”

“What.” Was all Sirius said before grabbing Remus by his neck and leaning in.
