Chapter Four

Draco's P.O.V

I rushed through the Slytherin common room and went up to my room. I sat on my bed and looked at the envelope that contains the letter that (Y/N) wrote. My name was on the front in cursive handwriting. I take a deep breath and carefully opened the envelope. I took out the letter and unfolded it. I closed my eyes for a second before I began to read it.

Dear Draco,

When you receive this letter, I will most likely be already gone. I am not going to be somewhere you can easily find me. I am going to start all over and have a new life. A life that will not involve you or anyone from the Wizarding World. I am tired of all of the insults and all of the bullying. I don't know what I did to deserve this. We were inseparable and you would never let anything or anyone harm me. But then, you became the one to do the harming. You went from being my biggest protector to my biggest persecutor. And all because I was in a different house and had to interact with certain people that I'm 'supposedly' not allowed to communicate with because of my blood status? It probably wasn't your choice to do it. It was definitely Lucius that told you to cut me off. But, you could have just told me if that was the case. You could have just ignored me for the entire time we would be at Hogwarts. But no. You had to go out of your way to make my life at Hogwarts a living hell. I miss the times when you would comfort me any time I would feel sad. My friends comforted me but it wasn't the same. You are the only person that knows every little detail about me and my life. Not even Hermione knows the things that you know. I miss you calling me cute little nicknames and then getting pouty when I would call you a corny name. You can't look for me. More specifically, you can try but you won't be successful. I went to an alternate universe. I had asked Dumbledore if there was a way to be able to travel to a different universe than ours. And since you are reading this letter, it means that he found a way for me to do it and I am now gone. This letter might be useless because I don't even know if you ever still care about me. You might just get this letter and throw it out since I'm the one who wrote it. But, it is worth a shot. The reason I wrote this letter is because I still care about you. I shouldn't. I really shouldn't but, I can't help it. I needed to leave because it hurt me more that it was you that was bullying me than the bullying itself. Hopefully, you can learn how to make your own decisions and not let your father influence you. I am praying for your success as you get older and for you to have a good life, even without me in it. I am supporting you no matter what. Good luck in everything , Dray. I mean it from the bottom of my heart.

Love, (Y/N).

As I finish reading the letter, I feel tears going down my cheeks. I aggressively wipe them away. Damn it! This is all my fault! I never realized how much this affected her. It got to the point where she just up and left. I never even got to tell her how I feel about her. I never told her that I love her.

"AAHHH!" I screamed out. This can't end like this. I won't allow it to just end like this.

Just wait for me (Y/N). I'm going to find you and tell you everything. I'll make it up to you.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V

Shit. Shit. SHIT! Julie and the guys are going to be here soon. What am I supposed to tell Luke? How much of the truth should I tell him? Should I just say that I'm a witch or should I tell him that I'm from a different universe too? No. Not that. As I was thinking, I heard yelling outside.

"Reggie, wait!" I heard Luke yell. As soon as he yelled that, Reggie came rushing through the door. With Luke right behind him and then Alex after him and then finally, Julie came in last, actually opening the physical door to get in.

"YOU MADE A SHIRT FLOAT, (Y/N)?!" Reggie yelled. My eyes widened as I looked at Luke.

"You told them?!" I exclaimed.

"It was an accident, I swear. I was just still in shock and it just slipped out." Luke said.

"Since you broke the agreement, guess I don't need to explain anything then." I said.

"You can't do that. You have to tell us something." Alex said.

"I'll say something. I am tired of people telling me something and then, doing the complete opposite. What are you going to do if I don't explain what I did? Tell someone? Kick me out? Whatever you try to do, just remember this. I've been through so much worse than you imagine. It's probably worse than dying. So I don't care if I don't have a place to stay. I know what I can do. I know what I've been through. So, just keep that in mind." I stated.

"We don't want to kick you out. We just want to understand you better and learn who you are. So please. If there is an explanation to what Luke saw, we'd really appreciate it." Julie said. I look down and sighed.

"Fine. I'm just going to say it....... I'm a witch." I said. I look up and saw monotone faces.

"A witch? Witches don't exist." Alex said.

"You probably thought that ghosts weren't real." I said. He instantly went quiet.

"Prove it." Reggie said.

"Alright. Can someone hold something in their hand?" I asked. Julie nodded and grabbed a cup from a table.

"Now hold it out in front of you." I instructed her. She did just that. I went to get my wand from the couch where I left it.

"Why do you have a stick?" Reggie asked.

"It is not a stick. It is my wand." I stated. I point my wand to the cup.

"Expelliarmus." I said. A little flash came out of my wand and knocked the cup out of Julie's hand. I looked at everyone and they all looked at me in shock. Reggie then, broke out in a smile.

"Do another trick! Do another one!" Reggie yelled.

"It wasn't a trick. It was a spell. I'm a witch not a magician." I told him.

"Can you do another one?" Luke asked. We both made eye contact which made me nervous. I quickly looked away.

"Of course I can. Does anybody have glasses?" I asked. Julie raised her hand and pulled out her glasses. She handed them to me. I shatter the glass a little bit on one side. I heard Julie gasp.

"Hey!" She shouted. I handed them back and told her to put them on. She did what I told her with a pout. I point my wand to her glasses.

"Oculus Reparo." I said. An even smaller flash from before came out of the wand and instantly fixed the crack on Julie's glasses. She looked at me in awe.

"There's no way. That's so cool!" Julie said.

"Me next! Me next! I want to do tricks with the magic stick!" Reggie shouted. He tried reaching for my wand. I instantly pulled it away from him.

"You can't use my wand for two reason. One, you can't use other witches or wizards' wand. The wand chooses the wizard not the other way around. And two, even if that wasn't the case, muggles can't do magic at all." I explained.

"Muggles? What are muggles?" Luke asked

"Muggles are what magical folk call non-magical folk. I am also a pure-blood witch. Which means I have no muggle ancestry in my lineage. My ancestors are only wizards and witches. Unlike other pureblood families who are all related to each other in someway, my family and lineage never involved themselves with those families so we are the only pureblooded family who is not biologically related to other purebloods." I said.

"Can you tell us more about yourself?" Alex asked.

"Umm. I went to a school for young witches and wizards called Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from when I was eleven years old until I recently left at the age of sixteen during my sixth year. I didn't finish this year and there are usually seven years at Hogwarts so I left before completely finishing my time there for reasons that I will not discuss now. I have been an orphan since I was 5 years old because both my parents were murdered by a very bad person but, luckily that person is gone now. I had my old best friend take me in with his family until we started Hogwarts." I stated.

"Do you mind me asking why you said old best friend? Did something happen to him?" Luke asked.

"No, you can ask. So his name is Draco Malfoy. His family is also a pureblood family. But, his family, more specifically his father, believes in blood supremacy. That basically means that to him, purebloods are superior to everyone else who isn't pureblooded. To him, associating with muggles and muggle-born witches and wizards is prohibited. Half-bloods are also not good as well to him but they are better than muggle-borns and just muggles. I am considered a 'blood traitor' because my closest friends are half-bloods, muggle-born, and also another entire family that are considered blood traitors. In Hogwarts, there are things called houses. Students are sorted into these houses based on their characteristics that they show. There are four in total which are Slytherin, Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. Usually students that come from Wizarding families go into the same house as their parents or if their parents had different houses, it was usually between the two. The Malfoys are a Slytherin family. My family is also a Slytherin family but I got sorted into Gryffindor. After that day, Draco stopped being my friend. Most likely on orders given to him by his father. Ever since, he bullied and tormented me and I just had to leave. So, I left and now I'm here with you guys." I finished explaining.

"Wow. I'm so sorry, (Y/N). You've been through so much. Thank you for telling us that. There probably is more to that but, we won't pressure you into telling us right now. Whenever you feel ready to tell us." Julie said.

"Thank you. I'm really tired right now. It's been a long day." I said.

"That's alright. We'll see you in the morning. Goodnight." Luke said.

"Goodnight." I said back. The other three said their goodnights. Julie left the garage through the door as the guys poofed to who knows where. I laid down on the couch with a pillow and blanket. I put my wand in my bag and my photo album on the table next to me. I close my eyes and start to drift into slumber.

Time to see what tomorrow brings in this new life.
