Ghost?

Harry's head was spinning. Was it real? Was he really not dreaming?

Hermione told him everything. That he was trapped with Deat Eaters, that he befriended Draco who tried to rescue him. That when they were about to leave the headquarters, that shield thing consumed him.

And as he thought back, he could remember small fragments of events. He could remember Lucius Malfoy throwing him into a drak place resembling to the Slytherins' Common Room. He could also remember that he had been tortured or guarded by Dementors, because he'd been feeling miserable.

Those things all fit in Hermione's story. But he couldn't remember Draco. Apart from a kiss and seeing him with Hermione, Ron and Ginny in the Ministry. But he just dreamt it, didn't he? He definitely didn't kiss Draco Malfoy! The git!

However the strangest thing was - Harry thought - that he wasn't disgusted by the thought of kissing the Slytherin at all. In fact, he was a bit disappointed for it only was a dream. Because it had to be a dream!

Harry shook his head to clear his thoughts.

But then, if it really was just a dream, why did his friends say it wasn't?

Well there only was one solution. The realization hit Harry so hard, if he hadn't been already lying, he'd totally collapsed.

They were so concerned about his well being... Maybe the Healer told them too, that his mind might be demaged, that they didn't want to hurt his feelings. They want Harry to think that those things were real, because they thought it would make Harry happy. Which indeed made him happy. That kiss was splendid! But that was not the point!

"You don't have to lie, you know." he smiled at his friends. "I'm okay with it being just a dream."

"What?"

"I won't freak out if you tell me truth. I promise!"

"But Harry! We'we just told you the truth!"

Harry only smiled at them and shook his head. Maybe he should wait. Maybe he should prove somehow that he's totally decent. That he could take in the truth whatever it was.

"Okay." Ginny said firmly. "If you don't believe us, have a chat with him!"

"With wh-"

But Ginny stood up indicating Ron and Hermione to do the same. All three of them left the room. Harry sat up very confused. Who should he talk to?

***

Draco opened the door slightly trembling. After what the girls and Ron had told him, he was relieved that Harry wasn't afraid of him. However he was still hurt that Harry didn't remember him. Well, he didn't know that he, in fact, remembered him.

He closed the door and shut his eyes for a moment. He inhaled deeply and let out his breath slowly befire turning back to Harry's direction and opening his eyes.

The black haired boy was sitting on his bed. His back supported by a huge pillow at the headbord, his knees drown into his chest.

"Hi." he said in a small voice.

"Malfoy?"

"Yes it's me."

"The hell? I really should stop it!" Harry said and rubbed his eyes. "You still here?" he asked when he looked up again.

"Er, yeah?"

"Well, then... maybe I'm not mad. What are you, then?"

"What I... What?"

"What are you? You're not transparent and not floating. You seem quite real, actually. You're not a ghost?"

"A ghost?"

"Yes. You know, the dead people's floating, transculent-"

"I know what a ghost is!" Draco snapped, then his voice softdned immediately. "And no, I'm not a ghost."

"Hm."

"Actually, I'm quite real." he said as he sat down into a chair beside the bed.

Harry was eyeing him suspiciously, so Draco extended his hand in front of Harry. "You should touch my arm. Or should I pinch you?"

Harry's cheeks reddend a bit as he hoisted his hand. He stopped just a few centimetres above the blonde boy's arm before touching his palm gently to the snow white skin.

He stroked Draco's arm lightly. The blonde boy closed his eyes for a moment before remembering where he was and what he was doing. His eyes snapped open, only to meet a pair of staring emerald orbs.

Draco flushed darkly. He wanted to drew his hand back, but then Harry grabbed it. "Pinch me!" he said.

Draco obeyed and pinched Harry's left arm strongly, but not too strongly.

"Ah!" Harry moaned rather painfully.

"What? It wasn't even that strong!"

"No. But you really are real... Draco."

"Do you believe it now, Harry?"

"Yes. Yes, I do."

Draco broke into a wide smile as Harry patted the bed beside himself. The blonde climbed happily into the bed, next to Harry, and snaked his arm around his shoulders.

"I've missed you." he said and leaned in wanting to kiss Harry.

Draco only hesitated a second to get Harry's consent, before pressing his soft lips on the other boy's.
