Halloween
James was one of Halloween's biggest fans. He loves to dress up for the event and do matching costumes. Usually he wore matching costumes with Peter, Sirius and Remus. But this year it was different, he was wearing a couple costumes. They had asked Peter if he wanted to join them to not be left out but he apparently already had a costume idea. So this year he was going to the party as Gnomeo. He had been surprised that the idea came from Regulus. He didn’t think it was the kind of movie his boyfriend would like.
This year Halloween happened to fall on a Tuesday, so in the middle of a school week but, thanks Godric, teachers had cancelled classes for the following day. To make the party more fun, James and Sirius had decided to add a little something in the drinks and this thing would make the truth or dare party they were going to play even more interesting.
People were starting to feel the room while “monster mash” was playing in the background. Seeing everyone dressed up made James so happy. But there was one person’s costume that James was waiting to see and this so-called person had just entered the room. When James so Regulus, it was like he had forgotten how breathing worked. His jaw felt like it dropped to the floor. And his eyes couldn’t look away.
Regulus was right there standing in a red mini-skirt. A FUCKING RED MINI-SKIRT!! Not only that he was wearing makeup. FUCKING EYELINER!!! All James wanted to do right now was get closer to Regulus and that slutty waist. James’ brain was not working anymore and had totally forgotten that he was standing right next to Sirius.
“Close your mouth Prongs, you’re drooling. And let me remind you it’s my baby brother you are undressing with your eyes.”
“Sorry Pads but it’s not like I can help myself. He is wearing a red skirt and eyeliner. You’ve seen how Remus gets when you’re wearing makeup right.”

James made his way across the room to Regulus. All he wanted to do tonight was be close to him and dance together. When he arrived Regulus was still with his friends. Barty and Evan were dressed as the Joker and Harley Quinn while Dorcas and Pandora were dressed as fairy like they had planned.
“Hello everyone and welcome to the Gryffindor Halloween Party. The drinks are this way near the chimney. Bathrooms are available in our dorms. If you just want to chill, there are couches in the middle of the common room and if you want peace we’ve got the window spot. That’s everything for me. I came to steal this little one from you. Goodbye and have a great time.”
With that James pulled Regulus away from the group. James called Regulus little on purpose because he loved how Regulus’ face would scrunch when he would say it.
“Don’t call me little.”
“I did it on purpose, love.” James pulled Regulus closer until their mouths would meet. Every time they would kiss it felt like the first time. Well no because the first time they kissed Regulus was crying but you get the feeling. Every time they kiss, James’ stomach will do a little flip. It felt like little butterflies invade his tummy. “You are absolutely gorgeous. Who made the choice to put eyeliner on you ‘cause they surely want me dead. And you are wearing red, my house and favourite colour, sorry to say it honey but red looks absolutely stunning on you, you should think about wearing it more often.”
“Thank you Jamie. You also look splendid, as you do every day. I could wear red more if you want but I don’t have that colour in my closet. And I would only wear it for you.”
“I have to warn you that we are going to play truth or dare later and that the drinks are filled with Veritaserum. Means you can’t lie.”
“It will not be a problem for me. Veritaserum doesn’t have an effect on me.”
“How can it not have an effect?”
“Well Mother used it on us so I kind of poisoned myself everyday with it so it wouldn’t work anymore. Means I can lie even with Veritaserum.”
“Well I can’t so everything I’m telling you since the beginning and for the rest of the night would be true. Maybe we could play with the fact that you can lie and prank the others.”
“You really find time for pranks in every situation but I like this idea. It’ll be fun.”

The party went on and let's say that everyone was sloshed. James didn't know who had made the playlist but it was awesome. There were some Abba, Queen, David Bowie, Taylor Swift and basically all of James' favourite artists.
“Everyone, gather around the table. Tonight's game is truth or dare.”
“As you may have noticed your drinks were not only filled with alcohol but also Veritaserum. No one can lie.”
“Let's begin. Remus, truth or dare.”
“Dare”
“I dare you to kiss the prettiest person in the room.”
“We’ve been kissing for the entire party, starlight.”
“You think I’m the prettiest person in the room!?!?”
“Of course. Did you ever doubt that? Come here love.” Remus grabbed Sirius on his lap and kissed him.

“He said sitting in my best friend's lap after snogging him all evening. Get off of him.”

“Okay Lily truth or dare.”
“Truth.”
“Have you ever dated anyone else apart from James and Mary?”
“Yeah and you are the only one to know about it Remus.”
“Wait, you've dated someone else apart from us !!”
“Yeah well it was two summers ago. She was a muggle. It was my first time dating a girl and we went on dates. Like we went to the cinema and to the park. It was really great. But then my sister Petunia found out and told our parents. She made everything for us to never see each other again. So that’s what happened. We have never seen each other since then but then I realised I liked you Mary and that was the best thing that could have ever happened at that time. That’s it.”
“That’s so sad.”
“Well just life. So uhm I’m going to ask you Marlene. Truth or dare.”
“Truth”

“Definitely either Remus or Regulus. Have you seen those two? They literally are the hottest man I’ve ever seen.”
“I agree with Marls” said James and Sirius in unison.
“As you should. Next, Barty truth or dare.”
“Dare.”

“Why would you ask that.”

“Well, well done. He is broken now. They are going to make out here now that Barty is striped.”
“If you two want there’s a bed available in our dorm. Don’t forget protection and silencing spells. We don’t want to be part of the show.”
“Thanks mate. I don't think we could have stayed here for much longer.”

“Okay Regulus, truth or dare?”

The game went on and everyone was getting tired. James had finally gone back to himself but he still hadn’t said a word.
“I think we should get to bed. Everyone is falling asleep on the couch and I think our beds would be more comfortable. Pandora, I think a bed will be available with the girls. And Regulus you’ll sleep with me like old times.”
“That’s not fair. I wanted to sleep with James.”
“No I don’t want you together in the same bed after what you said earlier. Sorry Moony but I want to be sure nothing happens between those two while I'm in the same room.”
“Pete, can I sleep with you at least. James gets all clingy when he sleeps and I don’t want that.”
“Sure no problem with me.”
“No, I don't want the “sleeping alone while drunk” treatment. It’s the worst one.”
“Well it’s what you get for turning my baby brother into a slut.”
“He’s not a slut. Don’t call him that.” Regulus got closer to James' ear and whispered.
“Oh but I am a slut for you Jamie.” James turned bright red and suddenly Regulus was picked up from James’ lap.
“No you two stop flirting, time for bed.” said Sirius while holding Regulus in the air.
“Put me down Siri.” said Regulus while hammering Sirius back.
“No no you get the air treatment because of what you said earlier and for the state you’ve put James in. And James gets to sleep alone, be glad your treatment is being hung in the air.”
So just like that they all went to bed in their separate way.
