Jade sat in her room, her adviser silently watching her. “Lady Jade, what do you think?” Obsidian asks. Jade sighs in response, rubbing her temples, “It’s stupid. Never suggest such idiocy to me again.” Jade tosses the papers on the floor, crossing her legs. “I need no other to rule this kingdom with me.” Obsidian mutters profanity under her breath, picking up the papers. “Apologies, Lady Jade. We had no intention of upsetting your highness.” Jade nods, “Hurry and leave.” Obsidian walks out the door, brushing past Topaz. “Mother, you seem irritated.” Topaz states bluntly as she sits down in a chair across from the older woman. “Of course. My people believe I need a man to help me. Ha!” Topaz chuckles lightheartedly at her mother’s words, knowing the woman meant every word. “The same as I call myself a prince, you are a King.” Jade smiles at her daughter, “We do think alike, don’t we, my little Jelana.” Aventurine walks over, leaning in the doorway. “Ah yes, little Jelana~” He teases his sister, and Topaz throws a pen at him, causing him to squeak as he ducked. “Rude!” “You deserved it, asshole.” Jade chuckles at the bickering duo, the entertainment soothing her original irritation.
