Lost in her own thoughts
Summary
Luna sat under a tree aloneNeville would never forgive himselfEven after years he still visits her grave

Luna sat under a tree alone, for she had separated herself from all her new friends for the past few weeks. She knew she was scaring them but the deep thoughts pushed her away from reaching out. Deep down she knew pretty much everyone thought she was weird, she spoke differently and thought differently making her seem crazy. This had been bothering her for a long time, but she never spoke up about it. Instead her sleeves got longer and the smile disappeared more. Neville had tried talking to her a few times, but she would just ignore him or walk away. She felt like she would never be good enough for the people she called friends, never be the one they came to for help. Her thoughts ate at her alive, making it harder for her to get up each morning. Slowly she disappeared from going to class or any meals. Her friends started noticing, trying to get her to open up but she refused. One late night she sat in her bed, her hands shaking violently as she tried to make the thoughts shut up. No matter how hard she shook her head or screamed, the thoughts only came back harder. Breathing extremely heavily, sweat rushing down her temples, tears falling down her cheeks, and blood slowly running down her arms. Nothing was helping her calm down, the room starting to spin quickly. After a few seconds her body collapsed to the ground. After a few hours her eyes opened slowly, the thoughts coming back immediately along with the shaking. She decides to sneak down to the lake sliding her feet into the dark water. Her body relaxes for maybe two sounds before all the feelings attack her once again but stronger. She can’t take it anymore so she walks further into the lake, letting the water absorb her. Her lungs scream, but she doesn’t listen letting her eyes slowly shut. They continue to scream until finally there is no air left.

Neville would never forgive himself for not trying to talk to her more before the accident, He had always loved her and appreciated her with everything within him. But now it was too late to tell her all the things he would have originally said. Others tried to support him, but he pushed them away. He refused to accept their sweet encouraging words, when that’s something that could have saved her life if just one person said these things to her.

Even after years he still visits her grave, bringing her flowers, books, and notes. Every note expressed how much he loved her and every special memory he shared with her. This brought a special softness to the air as he left the gifts. Whispering “I love you” as he would leave each time.
