November 15th, 1954.

Every sound was muffled.

Every person in sight was gone.

Time seemed to slow down.

I looked into his eyes while he raised his wand.

I looked into his eyes knowing this is it....

I looked into his eyes with fear and hope.

Fear because who knows what happens after this.

Fear because he might have been my worst fear.

Fear because this might hurt.

Fear because I don't know what the next step is....

Hope because I finally might get to see her again.

Hope because I'm finally done with this pain.

Hope because I will no longer feel sorrow.

Hope because I will no longer have to see what my life becomes.

The last thing I saw was not the man standing in front of me. But an image of her smiling because of me. Her. Her. My love. My everything. Angel. Angelina.

The last thing I saw was a flash of green that was once again filled with hope and fear.

-

And then everything went dark.

-

I sat up gasping for air. I looked around.  I was in a field. With tall brown grass that was on the brink of death, yet tall yellow sunflowers fully alive. I looked down and I was in a long white dress. A muggle dress. My feet bare. My curly dark brown hair running down my back. Not in the normal bun it's usually in. My skin pale. But my skin was clean. No blood. No dirt. Just clean pale skin. Almost shining in the sun.

"Where am I?" I said to myself.

I looked down at my hands. This felt surreal. Am I dead? Am I alive? Am I dreaming? There must be someone else here. I looked around. It's just a big field.

But as i looked around more something caught my eye, a small cottage near a small flowing creek. Was that there before? I shook my head. I must have not seen it before. I  started to walk towards the cottage. I notice vines and flowers running up the walls, with tinted windows, there was a small brown bench just outside of the cottage, and smoke coming out of the chimney.

'Someone must be home,' I thought to myself.

I went up to the door of the cottage. It was a brown wooden door with a very weird looking pattern of triangles, lines and circles. It was slightly open. I took a deep breath and pushed open the door fully open.

"Hello?" I called out while my bare feet hit the cold concrete floor. "Hello?" I called out once more while I started to walk through the small cottage.

"In here." A deep voice called out.

A man's voice?

I walked towards where the voice came from. It was a small living area. There was a small light brown sofa, a dark brown armchair, and a brown coffee table with stacks of books on it and a tea set. And in the armchair sat a man drinking a cup of tea and with a closed book in his lap. Wait. A man? No. Yes. Maybe. I can't tell.  The man? They looked like no one I have ever met. Yet he looked like every person I have ever met.

A person with every face?

"Please sit." The man said with a thick greek accent, while gesturing to the sofa. I listened and sat down. Because I want answers. And he seems like someone you could trust. Like a friend you have known for years. But yet I don't even know his name.

"Where am I? Where are we?" I asked.

"Tea?" The man asked while pouring himself another cup.

"Um... no thank you." I said, he acted like they didn't hear me.

"Where a-" "I know you have many questions. Where am I? Am I dead? Am I alive? Who is this weird person who is offering me tea? But don't worry I will answer most of your questions." The man said with a smirk.

"Most?" I asked. "Yes. Most. Not one person knows the answer to every question." He said while looking at me like he was ready for me to talk.

"Is this heaven?"

"No."

"Is Angelina here?"

"No."

"Am I dead?"

"Not really."

"Who are you?"

"Yes."

"I- W- What do you mean by I am not really dead? I was hit by the killing curse doesn't that make me dead?" I inquired.

"That is true. You were hit by the killing curse but it's just not your time."

"My time?"

"Yes, your time."

"My time to die?"

"It's a beautiful day outside, let's go for a walk." The man said while he glanced out the window and got up from the armchair, he started to wonder outside. I followed the man out.

"Whats going on?" I asked. No response.

"Where are we going?" I asked. No response.

"What are we doing here?" I asked and once again no response. I was getting irritated. I stopped in my tracks. The man turned around.

"What did you mean by it's not my time?"

"I think you already know." The man said and continued walking.

"Are you sending me back?" I asked while jogging a bit to catch up to him. No answer. Then suddenly he turned around.

"Well here we are." The man said.

That's when I noticed an arc in the middle of the field. A grey stone arc. With greek words on it. And the symbol that was on the cottage door.

'I swear I've seen that symbol before.' I thought to myself. Wait was that here before?

"What if I don't want to go back?" I asked. The man's smile fell from their face. "You might not want to go back now. But trust me if you don't you will regret it. Not everyone gets this chance to go back. You might think 'hey! life is really hard! I want to give up'. I'm not gonna lie and say it's all sunshine but there is always sunshine after a storm. You are strong enough to make a change. So use your gryffindor courage. Because your friends need you. Your family needs you. The whole wizarding world needs you. Angelina needs you."

"I- I can't."

"You think you can't but in reality you can."

"But Angel- Angelina is d-dead." I said with tears in my eyes and a shaky breath.

The man snorted. "Well who told you that!?"

My head shot up. "Sh-She's alive?!" "You wouldn't know if you don't go back." The man said with a glint in their eyes.

I looked at the arc and started to walk towards it. I turned around suddenly. "What happens if I fail in life? What happens if I'm not really a true gryffindor? What happens if I let the people I love down?" I rambled out while looking back at the man. He smiled. Almost looked relieved I said those things. "You won't."

"I-"

"Go. The people you love need you." They said as he made a shooing motion with his hands.

"Okay." I said while turning around and walked towards the arc. I was just about to step through the arc until the man said "Wait." "Yes?" I asked while I turned around.

"It was a pleasure to meet you Minerva." He said with a smile and with same glint in their eyes. I gave him an unsure smile and turned back around and walked through the arc.

-

I sat up gasping for air. I looked around I was in Hogwarts hospital wing. I looked down at my hands. Dirt. Blood. I'm back. I'm home.
