Harry Potter and the Reveal of Mysteries
Summary
What if Harry Potter wasn't an actual Potter? What if things had a small change? What if Lily or should I say Lilianith was a bit smarter? And this led to the unexpected whirlpool of differences in Harry Potters life. But what Harry Potter wasn't real?OR:Lily was forced into a marriage with James while she loved another man and disguised her child as James' child, Harry. But things will soon be revealed.—I’m currently rewriting this fic since it been so long and it will b posted separately as a fresh start. I’m not sure if I should mark this as discontinued, but I may come back to it at some point in order to finish it.
Note
Hello! This isn't the first fanfic I've written, but it's the best one I've written and one I've put effort into. I really hope people like it since I really enjoyed writing it. Here some notes and background notes.-Harry has a different father + different name-There is Hogwarts Academy for years 1-7 (ages 11-17) and Hogwarts University for years 8-12 (ages 18-22)SPOILERS -Lily's name is Lilianith-Reason for this is that her parents died in the first magical war and she was put in a muggle adoption center instead of a magical one, she is also a pureblood Anyways, I'm not a good writer but enjoy the first chapter!

Growing up

“You’re telling me he’s a wizard!?” Vernon shouted.

“We’ll maybe…yes. But he’s still my nephew Vernon and he’s a human being like us! Having magic doesn’t change him much plus, it’ll probably help him succeed. He won’t just be dead meat we are caring for.” Petunia reassured him.

“Will we all be safe with his…magic?” Vernon asked, a little sceptical.

“Of course Vernon! If he’s like my sister, he wouldn’t hurt a fly!” ‘Probably…’ she answered.

Vernon sighed. “Fine Pet, we can take care of him. How long will it be until his magic shows up?” He asked.

“Probably at 4, my sister got hers at 6 but that’s because our parents didn’t have magic.” She replied.

“And how old is he now?”

“He’s around…” Petunia thought for a moment, “1 and 3 or 4 months. I know he was born last year in late July so probably July 31st.” Petunia answered. “Ah! So that makes him only a month or so younger than Dudley! That means our little Duders will have a friend already!” Petunia squealed. “I can’t wait for them to grow up together.”

3 years later

It was 1984, July 31st, and the Dursleys were celebrating their nephew's 4th birthday, the cute little boy had started to slowly morph back into his original form, the way he was supposed to look. He slowly started to get his dark skin back, and his green eyes glowed more of a toxic green colour than before. Haruki had learned to walk already and could even run and hop around. He had already started talking at about 3 and had a nice vocabulary and had a special charm to him that made people swarm to him. Something fascinatingly beautiful was that he had started to get curls in his hair, all shapes, and sizes, tight or loose curls that framed his face and neck. As well as the outer part of his eyes angling upwards slightly making him look straight out of a fairy tale.

Everyone in the neighbourhood loves him and he was popular amongst the children on Privet Drive. They all wanted to be his friend.

“Come on Harry! Make a wish and blow out the candles!” Petunia said, taking pictures to hang on the wall along with Dudley’s 4th birthday photos.

“Calm down Pet.” Vernon bellowed. “Let him make a good wish, we want his wish to come true don't we?” Vernon said, a  smile stretching on his features.

Harry finally made a wish and blew out his candles. Everyone applauded him and cheered while he had as big a possible smile in between his beautiful chocolate cheeks, his beautiful green and gold eyes glowing with joy.

“Come on Harry! Let’s get you some cake!” Petunia squealed. She cut a piece of cake for everyone, and all the people at the party ate. Today was a good day for Haruki. When would he start experiencing changes?

1 year later

Haruki is now 5. He had gotten his magic a few months ago, maybe around 7 months ago. He had changed Dudley's hair when he said he wanted it blue. Petunia walked in on the moment it changed. She had screamed and Dudley was very happy with the colour change. Haruki was easily able to control his magic now, and he had been rewarded by his family every time he was able to keep it at bay in public. Haruki was very smart for his age and so he was already done with his 2nd-year of elementary which the Dursleys were so proud that they took him shopping. Let's go back to that day.

1-month ago

“Harry, welcome home dear,” Petunia said as Dudley and Haruki came back from school. “We have something to tell you boys,” she said, emerging from the kitchen.

“What is it, aunt Petunia?” Haruki said, putting his bag next to Dudleys on the kitchen table.

“Well, since your uncle has gotten a promotion, which means more money, we have decided to reward you and Duders for getting such good grades last year!” Petunia announced.

“That is correct Pet,” Vernon said, coming out from the kitchen, and giving Petunia a kiss on the cheek as well as Haruki and Dudley. The 2 young 5-year-olds beamed, filled with excitement. The family of 4 went outside after getting ready. Dudley and Haruki had on mix and match outfits with both wearing short trousers that went up to the knee, suit vests, and short sleeve white button-ups. Haruki had a pale green vest and pale blue trousers while Dudley had the same in the opposite colours. The family arrives at the mall and Haruki leads the way to a clothing store.

“Pick anything you want boys. I'll pay for it.” Vernon instructed. The boys immediately ran off to find things.

Haruki POV

‘Hmmm, what should I get?’ I was wandering around in the store for a few minutes now until something caught my eye. It was a lavender skirt that looked like it would fit me. I walked up to it and touched it. Cotton. It looked...pretty. ‘I want to wear it.’ I took it to the dressing rooms and figured out a way to put it on. It fit perfectly. I love it. ‘But Uncle Vernon wouldn't let me get this. It's too girly.’ I took off the skirt and put it back. I keep on finding dresses and skirts and shoes and shirts that I loved, but we're too feminine. I went back to Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia.

No one's POV

All Petunia saw went from seeing a pretty blouse to seeing a crying Harry. She rushed over to him the moment she saw him. “Harry what's wrong dear?” she asked worriedly.

“Umm..” he said. “I, I like this piece of clothing but…” he trailed off. Petunia was left guessing. ‘What would make him upset?’

“Darling, I can't help you if you don't tell me what's wrong.” Petunia clearly stated.

“Well it's just,” he looked up but not into her eyes, “the thing I like is too girly so I can't get it,” he said, tearing up again, leaving Petunia stunned.

“Who said it was too ‘girly’?” she asked, a small smile on her face. “You can get anything you want. Do you want to talk to Vernon about it? Maybe we can convince him.” she suggested.

“C-can we?” Haruki asked shyly, his sobs starting to die down.

“Of course dear, let’s go.” Petunia replied. She took Haruki’s small hand in hers and brought her to Vernon who was watching Dudley pick out button-ups, and trousers, along with shoes.

“Vernon.” Petunia greeted.

“Pet.” he greeted back. “What do you need?” he asked.

“May Harry get something a little…feminine?” Petunia asked.

Once again, Vernon was stunned by his nephew.
