Are we really calling that place home?
REMUS' POV ---
'What do we have here?' Merlin, he knew that voice from a mile away to, though it wasn't like Sirius. It didn't make his heart flutter and it most defiantly did not make him nervous, well, not in the same sense anyway.
'Severus.' Merlin. Did that boy ever wash his hair? 'Sorry, did you run out of shampoo or something, because mines back in my dorm.' Snape gawped at him. He had never answered back before, you could blame the moon but then again you could blame his hatred for Severus Snape, most students, and most teachers, could probably all bond over their mutual hatred for the boy. Not that Professor Slughorn would. Snape was the star pupil for him, everyone saw his face when he found out that the best child in his class wasn't pureblood, looked like someone had just ran over his grandmother.
'Wow feisty this year Lupin!' People were starting to look now, this is why the feasts were horrible. So much talking and laughing, but as soon as any sort of commotion started. Boom. Everything went quiet and all eyes were on you.
Snape lent down to whisper in his ear, 'The moon acting up already?' He snickered.
Fuck. How the hell did Snape know!?
'Or is it that your still upset that dear old mum and dad died over the holidays?' He was practically shouting now, and like he had said before all eyes were on him.
He could here the whispers, gossip went around quickly at Hogwarts, people were already conspiring on how they thought his parents had died. Merlin. these people felt no sympathy for anyone. But before he knew it, he was stood up towering over Snape, and if you blinked you could of missed it. But most people at Hogwarts knew not to blink. Especially when someone was winding Remus Lupin up. And their was Severus Snape, on the floor with a bloody nose, and the sly smirk that used to be their was gone, and for the first, but not last time this year, Remus Lupin found himself towering over another passed out kids body. First time doing it in the great hall, Regulus could add a new place to his chart.
'MR LUPIN! ' great, Professor McGonagall, she was harsh to any student who put a toe out of line. Besides Sirius Black and his group, they were invincible. Minerva never once gave them more than a telling off and a detention if what they did was so horribly wrong, but no doubt was Remus going to at least get a detention with a prefect from another house, and with his luck, it would most likely be none other than Sirius Black.
'HOW DARE YOU ATTACK ANOTHER STUDENT! YOU HAVE BEEN HERE NO LONGER THAN AN HOUR, AND NOW THIS. IN ALL MY YEARS- ' she was interrupted, ' Now Minerva,' said a calm voice, that of Professor, and headmaster, Dumbledore, 'I'm sure Mr. Lupin had a very good reason to attack Severus. ' He turned to him with a sympathetic smile. God, how could he always be so nonchalant?! 'Isn't that right Remus? ' he continued.
'I'm sure you already know my reasoning Professor, as i assume you would know, gossip travels well at Hogwarts.' He said, head down, refusing to meet the mans eyes.
'Yes, i'm sure i do, sit back down Mr Lupin.' And Remus did just that.
And then a voice behind him said, 'I'm sure you know this will result in a prefect detention?' It was no longer the kind voice of the older Professor but that of Minerva McGonagall's
'I do, professor.' He said, still staring at the floor, not daring to turn around, not because he was scared of the professors but because he didn't want to see the sly smirk on Sirius Black's face. Sirius had always loved when another student stood up to Snape. But he also knew that he would fall week at the knees if he saw that Sirius Black grin one more time.
'In that case, you may do it after your classes tomorrow, Mr. Lupin. ' She said calmly, merlin why could all these teachers change their moods so quickly?
'And who will be accompanying me in my detention, Professor? ' It felt rude not to turn around as he said it, so he did.
'I think Mr. Black may be suitable for the job. ' she smiled, ' If that is okay with you, Mr. Black?'
'Oh, Minnie you should know by now i never turn down such an honor. ' The other students snickered, and he looked up and met the older boys eyes. Merlin he had to survive multiple hours, cooped up in a classroom with only Sirius Black. What could go wrong?

SIRIUS'S POV -
Oh, words couldn't sum up how exited he was. Stuck in a classroom for multiple hours with Remus Lupin, what could go wrong? Absolutely everything, and he knew that fully.
