Chuuya & Akutagawa (Bungou stray dogs)

Akutagawa was annoyed. This was nothing too odd. In fact it would be stranger if he’d been anything other than annoyed or angry. What was slightly stranger was the annoyed Chuuya that stalked into the Port Mafia headquarters after him. After all, despite popular opinion, Chuuya could actually be fairly level-headed as long as Dazai wasn’t around. And yet, here he was stalking after Akutagawa, looking like he wanted to wring someone’s neck. The reason for this could only be one thing, their most recent mission.

Mori had called both Chuuya and Akutagawa into his office earlier that day and given them a joint mission to help the Armed Detective Agency with a new group of Ability users that had been causing trouble for both the Port Mafia and the Armed Detective Agency. And last anyone had heard that mission had been a success and the new Ability users wouldn’t be causing problems for either party any longer. But it was clear something had happened, something that had left both Port Mafia members angry. Considering they’d been with Dazai, who never seemed to run out of ways to rile both Chuuya and Akutagawa up, this wouldn’t be too odd, but the fact that Chuuya looked like he was angry at Akutagawa was.

“Akutagawa,” Chuuya called out to the man when it looked like he was about to storm off to go train with Rashomon. “A word in my office.” It wasn’t a request. Akutagawa momentarily snapped out of his annoyed state to glance back at Chuuya at the firm tone he used. He opened his mouth to argue but never got the chance as Chuuya firmly grabbed his arm and lead him to his office. Akutagawa tried to free himself but Chuuya was simply stronger than him. Plus he didn’t have a choice anyway, Chuuya was an Executive, he had to have whatever discussion Chuuya wanted whether he wanted to or not.

When they got to Chuuya’s office, Chuuya let go of Akutagawa’s arm and closed the door, gesturing for Akutagawa to sit down. With how annoyed Chuuya was, Akutagawa thought it best to follow the instruction. After all, Chuuya was one of the few people Akutagawa truly respected and was one of his bosses. And he didn’t look like he was in the mood to argue.

“You wanna explain to me what that was and what you were thinking?” Chuuya demanded, his face stern. This was the Chuuya that had become an Executive not long after Dazai and was one of the youngest Executives in history. Akutagawa knew what he was talking about and he didn’t want to explain, wasn’t even sure he could. He knew he’d messed up. Everything had been going fine, according to plan. And then Akutagawa had wanted to prove himself to Dazai. He hadn’t even thought when he’d thrown himself into the battle and let Rashomon loose. He knew he was powerful and thought the Ability users weaker than him, and he was almost right. But he hadn’t known one of the Ability users could manipulate and control shadows. They’d nearly managed to trap him, and would’ve done so if it wasn’t for Dazai nullifying the Ability. Akutagawa had been shocked at first, then he’d just been angry at himself, for being reckless, for not paying enough attention, for needing to be saved by Dazai. He knew his explanation wouldn’t be good enough so he simply stayed quiet and glared at Chuuya, refusing to answer.

“Fine, I was there, anyway, I can figure out myself why that happened. The why isn’t all that important. The fact that it nearly happened at all, that you nearly fell into their trap, is the bigger problem here. How many times have you had this conversation about being less reckless?!” He demanded. Once more Akutagawa refused to answer. “Too many times, Akutagawa. And even worse since you saw Dazai again. You know, I’ve tried to be the mentor who helps, who tries to care for you and get you to care about yourself and it isn’t working. Maybe it’s time for a different approach. Maybe it’s time for me to be more like Dazai and give you what you clearly need.” As he spoke his words became a growl and he got up and stalked towards him. Akutagawa's heart was pounding as Chuuya approached. His fight or flight instinct was kicking in and he’d never been one to run.

“Tell me, Akutagawa, other than shooting at you, what other punishments did Dazai have for you? I know some, heard about them from other members. But I want to hear it from you.” Akutagawa blushed as memories filled his head. When he’d first been taken into the Port Mafia by Dazai, before he was considered old enough to know the rules of the Port Mafia, there was one punishment Dazai had for him. Every time he’d behave recklessly Dazai would take him over his knee and spank him. Hell, even when Dazai was 18 and he 16, Dazai still spanked him sometimes. It was always a humiliating experience, and a painful one. He hadn’t been spanked in 4 years since Dazai left. He could only hope Chuuya didn’t know, because more than anything else, it was the method that truly got through to him, the mixture of pain and humiliation driving the point home more than anything else. He also didn’t think he could take the humiliation of being taken over the knee and spanked when he was 20 and a feared member of the Port Mafia. And if anyone heard?

He opted to simply glare at Chuuya, who simply glared back. “Are you gonna say it or should I?” He knew. There was no way he didn’t. Akutagawa wanted to speak, to argue, to convince Chuuya not to go through with it, but he couldn’t speak. Chuuya sighed and then reached out and grabbed Akutagawa’s arm, pulling him to his feet. Then he sat down in his seat and pulled him over his knee, pulling his arms behind his back and pinning his legs so he couldn’t kick them too much. Akutagawa immediately started struggling and fighting to escape the humiliating position he was trapped in, but it was futile.

“No! you can’t- “SMACK! Akutagawa started to argue but was cut off by a sharp, firm smack to his backside that drew a gasp and made him fight more. Chuuya sighed again and removed Akutagawa’s coat so it wasn’t in the way. SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! Akutagawa started to shout and squirm. “Stop it! You can’t do this! You can’t just spank me like this!” he was angry, angry and embarrassed. He couldn’t believe he was being spanked like some bratty child. He was 20 years old, a member of the port mafia. And God did those spanks sting.

“I think you’ll find I can actually,” Chuuya stated. SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! “You’re in no position to be making demands.” SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! “This is just the beginning of your punishment.” SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!

Oh that hurt. That hurt worse than he remembered. Then again it had been a while since he’d been spanked. And Chuuya was stronger than Dazai. He was beyond humiliated. He was so busy trying to escape he didn’t notice Chuuya unfastening his pants and pulling them down until it was too late, his boxer clad backside propped up under Chuuya’s firm hand. He was about to protest but never got the chance.

SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! “You were reckless! You put yourself in danger! If you ever do that again you’ll go over my knee right then and there!” SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!

Akutagawa cried out in pain and protested, still trying to escape the humiliating, painful punishment.

Things only got worse when Chuuya pulled down his boxers and continued to spank his bare bottom. He realised he was tearing up and only got angrier. Dazai had always spanked him until he cried, Knowing it added to the punishment. He was always so embarrassed that a punishment for children could bring him to tears.

“I’M SORRY! I’LL DO BETTER!” He cried out.

“Sounds like your punishment is working. Let’s make sure.” Chuuya adjusted Akutagawa so that he could spank his sit spots and thighs easier.

SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!SMACK!

“Will you do something this reckless again?”

“No.”

SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!

“will you put yourself in unnecessary danger again?”

“No!”

SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!

“If you do what will happen?!”

“You’ll spank me!”

SMACK! SMACK! SMACK”

“Good. I hope for both of our sakes I’ll never have to do this again.”

With that he delivered a final round of spanks all over Akutagawa’s butt before releasing him and ordering him to stand up.

When he did, tears were streaming down his face, expression a mix of anger, humiliation and pain.

“get dressed” Chuuya ordered. Once his pants and boxers were up Chuuya stood up and pulled him into a hug.

“It’s okay now. You made a mistake but you’ve been punished for it and hopefully won’t make this mistake again. You’re okay. All is forgiven.” Chuuya comforted as Akutagawa slowly began to calm down.

“I’m sorry,” he apologised one last time.

“It’s ok,” he reassured and after a few more minutes Akutagawa left.

That night, Chuuya got a call from an unsaved number. He knew instantly who it was. He’d never given him his number, but he wasn’t surprised he had it.
“What do you want, shitty Dazai?” It came out more tired than actually annoyed, not that it would’ve made much difference.

“Did you do it?” Dazai asked, and Chuuya knew what he was talking about.

“I did. And you were right. He seemed a lot calmer after, less annoyed with himself.” He always hated it when Dazai was right, especially when it came to Akutagawa. Both of them took different approaches to mentoring Akutagawa, and while Chuuya disagreed with a lot of Dazai’s way of handling it, he’d always seemed to get more results. “How did you know?” he asked.

“I figured it out after one of his first missions. It went wrong and afterwards, he was more on edge, angry, harder on himself. He was constantly blaming himself and pushing himself too hard.”

“Are you ever going to tell him?” Chuuya asked. It was a question he’d always had. He’d understood at first. As long as Akutagawa had something to strive for, he had something to live for. but after a while it had just seemed cruel.

“I’m hoping I won’t have to, that he’ll realise he doesn’t need my approval. But maybe soon. He has more to live for now.”

It was obvious he was talking about Atsushi. “You think that will work?”

“Has a plan of mine ever failed?”
