Chapter 15
Milly hoping to calm him responded, “they said their names were Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, and Sirius Black.”
Harry felt the world beneath him shift yet again in such a short time. At the shocked faces of everyone else in the room and noting the fact that no one else had moved to try to find out more information Mark chose that wonderful moment to say, “That’s awesome now we can all meet your friends!”
This subsequently broke Harry out of the trance that this news had brought upon him, “where are they?” Harry asked in a quiet but deadly voice that startled everyone in the room with the underlying threat.
James sensing this slowly stood and walked towards his son, he realized that these people were his sons family while he and Lily could not be there for him, and he would consider himself a terrible father if he did not support his son in finding them when he had the opportunity to.
Milly gave Harry and James a soft smile saying, “they are right down the hall in their own room. They refused to be separated so they are in the large room on the right if you want to come see them.”
Harry realizing the issues that could arise by acting rashly for once in his life took this moment to lean over to James saying, “It may not be the best idea to bring Mark in, if they don’t trust where they are right now this could go very badly…”
Noting the seriousness in Harry’s voice James turned to Sirius with a begging look in his eyes and asked, “Can you stay here with Mark, I’m sure it will be slightly less startling if there is not two Sirius’s in the room at one time.” At Mark’s immediate protest he continued, “I promise we will come and get you both when it is all settled.”
With a final nod to Milly, Harry, James, Lilly, and Remus all began the slow walk down the hall to the room that Harry knew held his family that he had made for himself. Arriving at what seemed to be just another light blue door just like all the others in the hallway Milly turned to Harry and asked, “Are you ready?”
Taking a very deep breath and giving a slight nod to those around him Harry turned the knob on the door and it slowly swung open…
As the door made its way open Harry noted a light blue sheet around what he assumed was a hospital bed much like the one he had just left. But before he could notice much else about the room he saw a flash of red and brown and Ron and Hermione were crashing into him with the most bone-crushing hug he had ever received. Harry finally felt like all of the uncertainty and the broken pieces that were his life were slowly beginning to be forced back together simply by this hug from his best friends.
As he slowly began to come back to himself he realized that what he had not registered before was both Ron and Hermione were essentially yelling at him while his new found parents were chuckling behind him.
“Don’t you bloody well ever do that again! Do you hear me mate, we though you bloody died! You could have died and then what, huh?”
“Harry James Potter you are an idiot I swear I thought you had at least some brains in your head! A PORTAL BETWEEN UNIVERSES?! What the heck and I thought you just forgot to study for exams no you just simply don’t have a brain!!”
Even seeing how angry they both were at him for doing something stupid yet again all Harry could think to say was, “I missed you both so much… I love you guys…”
