Beautiful (Sirius Black X Fem Reader) - Marauder Era
(Y/N) had always been a prankster, ever since attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The sorting hat had quickly sorted her into Gryffindor, almost as if it had made its mind up before even being placed upon her head. She had quickly become friends with Lily Evans, and started a rivalry of sorts with James Potter and the Marauders, although (Y/N) got along well with Remus. The rivalry was something of an ongoing thing in Gryffindor Tower, all students in the house no matter their age or year knew of it, and often either dreaded or looked forward to what would happen next.
"She's metamorphic James, she'll wipe the floor with you, we all know it" spoke Remus, trying his hardest to deter James from brewing a polyjuice potion and impersonating one of their many professors, or classmates. "Don't think about using on Snape either, it wont end well" quickly added the responsible teenager, knowing the hate relationship between Snape and James had only gotten worse as time had gone by. Even more so when Lily had constantly ignored James in favor of keeping her friendship with the Slytherin student.
"Come on Moony, we both know he's only focusing on the prank war, to distract himself from Lily" taunted Sirius, moving some of his dark hair from his face. Struggling to hold back a chuckle at the look of surprise and shock James threw in his direction. Almost as if the other teen hadn't expected someone to figure it out so quickly. "Quidditch doesn't seem to be doing the trick anymore" added the teenager, realizing his best friend was almost love sick but in denial about it. Even when he often made an idiot out of himself and made it known he had a thing for Lily.
"And your not distracting yourself from (Y/N)?" pointed out James, showing he too was well aware of Padfoot's growing attraction to the metamorphic teenager. The amount of times he had complimented her on a prank well done or her in general. At the same time those words left James lips, Remus spat the drink out, almost in shock or as if realization was finally dawning on him. "He's made it pretty obvious. (Y/N) on the other hand seems to be ignoring his flirting attempts as much as Lily ignores me" added Prongs, a grin coming to his lips, Peter soon joined the trio, almost instantly confused on what was happening and why a staring contest had broken out between James and Sirius.
"What's up with your hair James?" asked Peter noticing his hair was going an array of different colors, constantly changing as someone had put a jinx on it. Remus and Sirius also seeming to notice the timing, both of which began to look for the teenager likely responsible. Knowing (Y/N) had to be close. "Bat Bogey Hex" added Peter with a trembling voice, almost as if he was afraid of being hexed or jinxed too. Remus could only chuckle, as if he had been helping (Y/N) with the timing or at least suspected she would strike sooner or later, the peace had only lasted for as long as James had left Severus alone.
"Honestly how you lot haven't noticed her timing yet his beyond me" spoke Lily, as she walked past where the four boys sat at one of the tables int he common room. He red hair flowing down her robed shoulders as she returned from a study session. Yet deep down she was thankful for (Y/N), as she seemed to only torment the Marauders when they tormented Severus, as if she was giving them a taste of their own medicine disguised as a prank war. "Watch out for the nose biting tea cups, and the tea pot, it bites too" added the redhead as she reached the stairs.
"(Y/N)" called Sirius upon spotting her on the walkway above the stairs. Her mischievous grin firmly in place, as it always was when she went through with a successful prank, jinx or hex. Although he had noticed she had gone kinder than this time. Without a second thought, Sirius ran up the stairs, hoping (Y/N) would stay where she was, as she had been known to disappear when he got close, using her metamorphic abilities to her advantage. Yet when he reached her, he noticed she had a few things left in her artillery, things she hadn't used yet and one of which on Filch's banned list, another of which he quickly recognized as the marauders map. "Where did you get the map?" curiously asked the dark haired teen, recalling Peter had said he was going to give it to James hours ago. He soon looked down to where James, Remus and Peter were, seeing them in a dispute over the location of said map.
"James is way to easy to impersonate. Either that or Peter doesn't know you lot as well as you think" responded (Y/N), her grin unmoved, as she retrieved her wand and uttered the words to close the map, willingly giving it back to Sirius, as if she had done as she intended to. "Quite the piece of magic there. I added a few hidden rooms and passages you lot missed on your nightly wonders" added (Y/N), revealing something few others knew about. Yet at the same time Sirius had the realization. None of them had been caught, now it made sense, (Y/N) had covered for them.
"So you're our guardian angel" replied Sirius. Almost finding it funny how she had an ongoing prank war against them, but at the same time had protected them from being caught during the nights they roamed the school grounds and Hogsmeed. "Anyway I was wondering if you'd help me with something. Would require some serious acting" added Padfoot, changing the subject to what he had actually gone to her about. He knew his parents wanted him to marry as soon as he left school, a pure-blood to keep the awful traditions and blood purity going. Yet he didn't intend on doing that, if anything he wanted to do the opposite, a half-blood or muggle born, maybe even a muggle.
"I'm intrigued, do tell" answered (Y/N), moving her ever changing hair to the side, if only to prevent it tickling her neck. As she did so, she picked up the ever-bashing boomerang and threw it over the balcony, watching in almost amusement as the others below quickly ducked or ran to the nearest exit. Yet her attention soon returned to the teenager in front of her, as if waiting for him to explain what he in mind and what he required her help with, outside of the normal help with study when he hadn't paid attention.
"My family" started Sirius, as if suddenly unsure if he should ask his crush to do this or not. Yet at the same time he also saw it as a chance to get to know her better and it was excuse to spend time with her. "We have a few more years left here, my parents are bugging me to find someone to marry. Up for acting, their pure-blood supremacist. I figured you'd be the perfect one for the job" explained the teenager, finding himself hoping she would agree but also preparing himself for the rejection he suspected was coming.
"Count me in. When's the meeting?" asked (Y/N), showing her willingness to help, even if she didn't agree with what the teenager had done to others in the past. She hated pure-blood supremacist far more. "And when does the work begin to make it look convincing?" asked (Y/N), whispering the patronus charm, with a grin. The chaos below becoming more rampant as the silver Hungarian Horntail flew around below and blew silvery flames. Sirius could only look below, impressed by the display, yet also wondering when she had learnt such a charm, that was advanced magic, year seven even, yet somehow she had effortless pulled it off.
"Summer will be the next time I go home" responded Sirius with dread ringing in his voice. He hated being at home, his mother was terrible, his father didn't do anything to help and his brother was the golden child, although he loved his little brother, but couldn't stand their parents or the family house elf. He hated his cousin Bellatrix more, in fact the only cousin he did get on with, had been disowned for marry someone she loved. "The more convincing the better, use our study sessions" added the teenager, wondering what he could learn about the metamorphic teen before him. "Thank you" calmly spoke Sirius, to which he got a nod in response, before (Y/N), threw the fanged Frisbee she had hold off.
*~* Time Skip Summer Holidays *~*
The day had finally come for the plan to be put in motion. Sirius had been sending letters to (Y/N) since the holidays had started, he'd done his part, telling his parents, specifically his mother of someone he was "dating", saying her first name but never her last, just as he gave the illusion she was a pure-blood, rather than her actual status of half-blood. Just as he had purposely missed off the fact she was metamorphic and a Gryffindor student like himself. Instead he had allowed them to believe she was a Slytherin. Yet to his surprise Regulus had said nothing when it come to whether he knew the teenager in question, instead he'd simply replied he'd heard of her.
At the arranged time, Sirius left the family home, meeting with (Y/N) in the designated spot. That was the part he look forward to the most, the pair had grown closer over the "study sessions" to the point they could consider each other good friends, even trusted friends. As per usual the pair greeted each other before Sirius lead (Y/N) to his family home, dread filling him as he did so, yet he knew this had to be done so his parents would finally learn he wasn't going to do what they wanted. The closer they got the family home, the more he dreaded it, yet he found some comfort when (Y/N) took hold of his hand, as if she was giving him the confidence he needed. Soon enough they were walking through the front door.
Regulus was the first to greet her, acting as if he'd known (Y/N) for years rather than just now meeting her personally. (Y/N) did her part by speaking of something she knew Regulus liked and were both part of, such as Slug club. Sirius always close by, occasionally a hand on her shoulder. In the kitchen was where the pair come across Kreature, doing his normal duties around the house, his mother Walburga close by, she didn't seem all that pleased about something, yet tried to put on a happy face for the meeting. A soon as Sirius called for her, the scrawl she'd previously been wearing disappeared, being replaced with a forced smile, and her best attempt at a friendly greeting.
"Mother, this is my beautiful (Y/N). The one I told you about" spoke Sirius, watching as (Y/N) hair changed to the color often associated with a nervous or uncertainty. "We've been dating for just under a year" added the teenager, seeing how his mother looked at him before shouting up the stairs for her husband, asking him to do something. Yet this time Sirius wasn't bothered by it, as he'd spent sometime decorating his rooms with some of the pictures he'd taken with and of (Y/N). Soon enough the questions began about the relationship the two shared, and even about (Y/N)'s family, only then was it revealed she was a half-blood. Her father being pure-blood but her mother being a muggle-born witch. She being the couple's only child. The moment that was revealed Sirius's mother flew it a rage, yelling about pure-blood supremacy and how the two wouldn't have the blessing to be together. Just as she reminded her son what happened to his cousin Andromeda when she strayed from what was expected.
Sirius soon grabbed hold of (Y/N)'s hand, pulling her with him when he felt to return the house, finally having made his decision to leave completely and live somewhere else. He knew he was always welcome at the Potter's. He was like a brother to James and like another son to his parents. He made a mental note to pack his things when he went back, ensuring when he left again, he wouldn't be going back. His mind was set on that, just as it had been set on being with (Y/N) if she would have him.
"What can I do to repay you?" asked Sirius when the two were further enough from the Black Family home. He put her in that situation, the least he could do was repay her for the help she had given and what she'd just been through. (Y/N) looked at him for a moment, as if thinking, before her mischievous grin once again appeared.
"Make it official" replied (Y/N), with confidence ringing in her voice, as she confirmed what he already suspected.
"Done, my beautiful, beautiful (Y/N)" finished Sirius.
