I didn't even find the books groundbreaking when I first read them. I fell in love with the wizarding world through the Harry Potter fandom. I learnt to love it because there were people who looked at the cracks in the story and thought, "i can fix this". They didn't always go about it in the right way, and sometimes their fixing included more sex than i was comfortable with, but they saw a diamond in the rough, dirtied by bigotry and flawed writing, and decided to polish it.Fanfiction is its own kind of fixer-upper, and that's what i aim for in my ficsi hope you'll enjoy this despite the bitterness in our mouths due to jkr's actions
