Severus looked across the large tent that was currently holding all the guests that came to the Burrow to see Arthur and Molly celebrate thirty years of marriage with a party. He had watched Harry closely since they arrived. Even though he smiled throughout and couldn't be more happy, he knew Harry was sad.
To say Harry was only twenty, he was the only one that wasn't getting married, already married or expecting their first child. After the war, it took Severus a year to recover and in that year, Harry never left his side, no matter what he said to Harry or threatened him with, Harry wouldn't back down. They finally gave in to their feelings after weeks of dancing around each other and have been together since Harry finished the year he went back to Hogwarts for the year he missed.
Watching Harry, Severus saw his lover talking to Draco and laughed when Draco gestured with his hands. Harry had assured him that he didn't want to marry and he was happy as long as they were together. Truth was, Severus did want to marry Harry. And marry Harry he will.
Walking across the tent, excusing himself as he passed many, he came to a stop when he reached Harry.
Harry looked from Draco to Severus and smiled. "Hello."
"Are you enjoying yourself?" Severus asked.
"I am, such a lovely party, they look so happy after all these years." Harry answered, glancing at Arthur and Molly.
Severus nodded and took Harry's hand, "walk with me?"
"Of course."
The had both walked out of the tent into the night air. Harry looked up and saw a sky full of stars and the moon so bright, looking over his shoulder to the tent he saw people start to dance to a romantic song that had started to play. "It is a perfect night out Severus."
"That it is Harry. Perfect for what we are about to do."
Harry stopped and looked at Severus. "What are we about to do?"
Instead of answering, Severus gently turned Harry around so he could see who was walking towards them.
Harry frowned when he saw the man walking towards them both.
"Reverend Minister Williams." The man said in greeting as he bowed his head before looking at Severus. "Do you have the rings?"
"Rings?" Harry looked from one to the other. "What rings? Severus what is going on?"
"I want to marry you Harry, here tonight, under the moon and stars, music in the background, no one else here, just us two. Will you bond with me here tonight Harry and spend your life with me?"
Harry beamed at Severus. "I will."
Williams smiled. "Excellent, then let us begin." he said as Harry and Severus stood facing one another, holding hands.
Draco went into the middle of the dance floor when he saw Williams leave the tent and as quietly as he could, told those closest to him it was happening, telling them to tell others as he didn't want to raise his voice so all in the tent would know it is happening.
Williams stepped aside with a smile as Severus and Harry moved forwards and shared a tender kiss to seal their marriage.Arthur
Harry pulled back when he heard clapping and looked towards the tent to see everyone from the party walking towards them both. Molly and Arthur in front, clapping louder than everyone else. "I got married mum!" Harry beamed.
Molly chuckled and cupped Harry's face. "You did my son." she said before hugging him. "About time you called me mum! It's what I have been for the last ten years." she said making Harry laugh.
Severus looked at Molly when she pulled back from Harry. "There is nothing on this earth that will have me calling you mum or mother in law."
Molly laughed. "Molly is fine Severus, as long as you keep our Harry happy."
"My word."
"Now then, lets all get back to the tent. You have a first dance to do before cutting the cake." Molly said.
"Cake? Nothing has been sorted, I didn't even know I was marrying Severus until he asked me twenty minutes ago." Harry frowned.
"No but he asked who you look on as parents for permission to marry." Arthur said.
"You mean your thirtieth anniversary was just a cover?" Harry asked.
Arthur chuckled. "Of course son. We don't need to have a party to show people how much we still love each other, still going strong after thirty years shows that. Didn't you wonder why after an hour of the party going on, no one had eaten yet."
When Arthur walked away to join Molly, Severus stepped back and let Harry get surrounded by his friends, hugging him and congratulating him.
"So you all knew?" Harry asked, looking around all his friends.
"Of course we did." Hermione laughed. "Severus let us do everything but he just had one condition."
Severus smiled at his husband when he looked at him. "That when we married it would just be me and you."
"Yeah well I cheated." Charlie said. "I cast a spell so we could all hear you get married."
"You are getting too much like your husband." Severus snapped, making Draco smirk.
"Come on then, time to celebrate!" Ron said.
Severus pulled Harry back when everyone made their way back to the tent. He waved his wand so the music from the tent could be heard from where they were standing.
Harry smiled and wrapped his arms around Severus, resting his head on his husband's shoulder as they slowly started to dance under the stars. "I love you Severus."
"And I you my world, always."
