Update!
Hi, everyone. Long time, no see! I apologize for leaving everyone on a cliffhanger, as well as not making a formal announcement that this story is on hiatus. I won’t go into detail about the specific reasons why; but the biggest reasons are…
- Loss of interest in writing fanfiction. I love fanfiction and creative writing; it’s one of my biggest passions, and another way for me to fully express my creativity. That being said, I also struggle with both ADHD and Autism, in which I get hyper-fixated on specific stories and characters. When I lose interest in the stories I become hyper-fixated on, I tend to abandon everything I did related to them. I stopped writing fanfiction, I stopped posting edits on my TikTok, everything. I still love the Marauders, and recently I rediscovered my love for writing, so hopefully in the future I’ll return to CYBUMS and finish it.
- Mental and physical health. Around July, I started struggling even more with my mental and physical health. I suffer from chronic pain, and around that time it was starting to get even worse, specifically in my wrists and fingers. So…it’s a little hard to write when you can barely get through typing a sentence on your computer without hating yourself, right? That, on top of my mental health going down the drain, also stopped me from updating/uploading.
- School/Work. I’m a full time English student, so…I spend a lot of time writing to begin with. It gets exhausting to go from writing essays about short stories, to writing fanfiction about dead gay wizards. I also take care of my elderly grandparent 75% of the time, which gets exhausting.
So yeah. I apologize for leaving everyone hanging. I do fully intend on finishing CYBUMS, and possibly uploading a few one-shots in between. If you follow my TikTok, you might have also seen me posting about a Band AU Wolfstar fic I had in the works - that will also come eventually! I am just unsure of when that will be, or when the next chapter will be up. The support on this story has been insane; I started writing CYBUMS after reading a multitude of Wolfstar/Jegulus fanfictions, and I had no idea it would blow up the way it did. I’ve seen edits and memes and TikToks made of my story, and they’re all incredibly funny. I’m forever grateful for the love and support for my silly little fanfiction. Thank you to everyone who has read ANY of my fanfictions, whether you’ve been reading since I started uploading Loki/Male Reader fanfiction, or you found me during my hiatus. Thank you. I hope to see you all soon!
