Chapter 3
As the leader of the Briar Thieves guild, he did have his own house, but all too often the younger kids would group up in his second bedroom, forming small bear piles of snores and absolute cuteness. Pausing momentarily to make sure one of the girls wasn't to uncomfortable with her pretzel position, he walked swiftly to the master bedroom- where James was waiting for him. Considering the time, however, he had probably already fallen asleep.
He was right. James was slumped against the wall, their blanket wrapped around him like a cacoon. Smiling slightly, Elliot went to kneel next to him, and nudged the taller man's shoulder. He stirred, and opened his eyes. "Mh...Elliot?" A single eye opened and James turned his head slightly. "Oh..." he yawned, sitting up straight. He smiled. "Sorry for leaving so soon, James. I had to pick up someone," he showed the bundle in his arms, and just like that, James was fully awake and functioning. Unrolling himself, he stood up. "Is that the Boy-Who-Lived?" he asked, gently taking the baby from him. He nodded, sitting down warily. "I found Dumbledore giving him away to one the most christian family I have ever seen. They had 5 crosses on their door, for the love of fucking God! Annie gave him a simple Core scan. The normal traces of elemental magic, some parseltongue, and a pretty high magic reading of 350," James nodded, rocking the child. "Alt?"
After a moment, Elliot simply said, "Theseus. Theseus Kernal," James gave him a surprised look, but nodded nevertheless. "Did Annie give him a Medical scan?" Elliot shook his head. "No. She looked like the undead, so I told her to get some sleep. Why?"
James unwrapped the child from the blanket, and then flipped him over. At this point, Elliot was surprised Harry was still sleeping. Then, all thoughts were chased out of his head as James showed him why he'd asked him the aforementioned question.
Harry had wings
Stubs, of course, but wings nevertheless.
