This book is a Lost Voices Series and Twilight Saga crossover with original and canon characters.
It also has canon divergence in their Canons such as mermaids being exposed to the humans,Dorian being Luce’s love interest(He was horrid) and Anais taking over in the first book because Catarina wanna play games with her tribe.On Twilight side,Jacob will be free from the Cullens and especially Bella,because I hate that this native tribe would be tied to very family that caused alot of their misfortune.
Also this means Nessie won't be born as well since Hybrids don't exist,it doesn't make sense at all that male vampires can sire living children,while all female vampires are always infertile.I'm not here for that,so human-vampire hybrids are nothing but myths created by humans that had a kink for vampires.
This book is about my oc Orion Jameson becoming a mermaid after being thrown off the cliffs,by someone he loved.Due to the trauma of his life,he chooses to embrace the change and turns.While learning about the seas from his newfound tribe of merfolk,he discovers what his presence truly means for his tribe as he discovers his gifts.But when he,a child of the sea,meets Jacob Black,a son of Taha Aki,everything begins to change.
This book is set during New Moon,but will continue through to Eclipse and Breaking Dawn as well.Like my other books,Orion will become the main character of the story,as the canon main characters become secondary protagonists.
This is my story that deals with OCS.This will be slow burn but don't expect things to be explained off the bat.The first book will be the introduction,effectively being the season one of this series.
The main paring of the story is Orion Jameson and Jacob Black but the other pairings will depend on where this goes but I will say this;The love triangle between Edith,Bella and Jacob will continue but as Jacob becomes more attached to Orion instead of Bella,it will be nipped in the bub.
This won't be a story where the oc change everything & saves everyone without any problems.There will be consequences to the plotlines whether they be canon or original.Many OCs will be introduced with other CCs.Lore is changed and has additions to the world because for Nature's sake it's a fucking mess.
Some CCS will show up in the story depending on my plotlines.Canon time-frames and events somewhat occur in favor of my own ideas.This book will be explicit since most of the characters are grown as well.
This book will involve things such as violence,gore,murder,sexual content,physical abuse,mental health issues,racism,homophobia and other things.If these topics make you uncomfortable,take it at your pace.
Since many characters in these characters are POC,there will be different languages spoken,for example,Orion uses different languages since his tribe want their new members to be well rounded.
If the pronounciation is incorrect,my readers can correct it in the comments and I will edit it in.Also characters that played by POC,will have their heritages and cultures added into their characters such as Sybil,being one of the og mermaids with Nausicaa in Greece.
Due to the added lore I'm borrowing for the H2o/Mako Mermaids series to make the mermaids more enchanting,Orion isn't just a mermaid,but a siren and a keeper as well.
So let me break it down,The Mermaid lore from Lost Voices is still here,but with the added H2o lore,I decided to switch up a few things.
1.You can become a mermaid through the embrace and the song of the siren enacting the change such as Luce turning in the beginning and attempting to turn Tessa.
2.There are three types of mermaids,regular mermaids who have the basic powers of their kind,they don't have a siren song or the magical powers of the seasThe best example would be Samantha and Jenna,basic mermaids.Sirens are the one who can sing humans to their death,using their voices.Not all mermaids are Sirens,so this way being a Siren isn't universal for all merfolk but some.Even though all merfolk have issues towards due to Proteus making them that way,but Sirens are considered the ocean's fury as they use their voices to drown them.Catarina,Luce,Anais and a few other canon characters are still sirens but alot of them are now either just regular mermaids,keepers or a combination of them.Keepers are the third type,these are mermaids that use moon crystals and the full moon to gain the magics of the seas.They are considered the shamans of mermaid tribes due to their connection to ocean's majesty.Like Sirens,not every mermaid is a Keeper.But some can be all three,a child of the sea that's the ocean's fury and majesty,all rolled into one.
Before anyone starts with a chosen one nonsense,Orion isn't special due to being a mermaid that's a siren and a keeper since there are other mermaids,that are also as well.
3.Unlike in canon,Merman exist.The Unnamed Twins are now the Unnamed Triplets,who were abandoned by their father,due to being born sick and losing his wife after they were born.He left them on a cliff to die there,but Proteus,a son of the Greek God Poseidon found them and took them to his cave,that was located at the bottom of his temple,connected to the ocean.He nursed them on seal's milk and allowed his followers to help raise them in his temple.His daughters and son,children of both land and sea.Proteus and his followers raised them until they were adolescents and gave them all a choice,to return to the human world fully and marry,or they could become creatures of the sea,that would be free and gifted as the ocean itself.
His daughters choose the seas,especially the eldest,even though her sister and brother forgive their father seeing he made his choice under his grief of losing their mother and having sickly children,she didn't.She hated him and humanity as a whole.She knew their mother loved them as she held them before Thantos took her soul,but she never got to know her.
Proteus transformed his daughters first,while his son told him that he wanted to time to think about it as he found love with a daughter of one of his priestess.
He gave his daughters,a form that embodied their history:a human that was raised by the land and the sea,that needs air and water to survive.He gave them both their beauty,their enduring youth,enhanced physical attributes and qualities.He gave the eldest daughter her voice and task to avenge their own wounds and the wounds of girls,who were not saved in time.But most of all he promised them,that other girls that turned cold by human cruelty as well,would have the same chance/choice to find the sea as they did.Two months after this,the Unnamed Brother chose to take up his father's offer,as he lost his lover and unborn child to plauge.After laying her to rest at sea as a daughter of the seas with help of his sisters,the Unnamed Brother told their father,he was ready to join them at sea.
Proteus didn't want his son to join them,not because he didn't love him but he knew that his son was the most human of them all,which he didn't want to take that away from him.But he knew his son's light was laid to rest with his lover and unborn child.With sadness and regret,Proteus transformed him into the first merman.He gave him the same promise that other boys turned cold by human cruelty would have the same chance and choice to find the sea as he did.He also gave him the same enchanting voice and task as his eldest sister,due to his own anger towards humanity.But unknown to them,Proteus's emotions at that moment impacted all merman from then on,making it harder to turn boys but not unsuccessfully.
4.To explain the Keepers,the Unnamed Brother had gotten lost during a swim,during a storm.He drifted through the ocean to eventually find himself in a mystical pool.He tried to leave but he couldn't leave as his tail was injured.So he decided to fall asleep in pool,but as he let slept,the full moon passed over the sea caves opening.
He awoke the next morning to find his tail healed but he also discovered he gained powers over water.When he reunited with his tribe,he told them what happened.
Finally,since this is a crossover,characters from the different series will be mentioned or appear but it won't be quick since it will a slow-burn story.If you don't like this,just don't read it alright.
I wanna thank all my readers,who stayed while I keep rewriting this book,i have spent years on.I have ADHD and I always have new projects on the brain,so it's also hard for me to stick to one book.
