Remus let out an oof as all the air was knocked out of his lungs. At least he remembered the first rule of combat, unlike Mulciber. He stumbled backwards and saw black hair seething with rage. Remus grinned. Perfect.

He never attacked first. That was the rule. If they attacked you first, whether they succeeded or not, you had the right to attack back, whether it was immediately or not. He lunged forward, blind with rage. He heard someone call out, but he didn't catch it. All of a sudden, there was the smell of spent magic, and he was flung backwards. Black hairs fear had conjured a force field around him.

Remus landed on his feet. His head hurt, and he was still trying to catch his breath. His chest ached with the collision, and the smell of the force field was overwhelming. He was confused, angry, and he hurt. He didn't like to hurt. He hated it. He felt like he had run into a brick wall for fuck sakes. Someone reached out and grabbed his arm. At first, he thought it was Romulus, but the hand was too small and delicate.

"GAD FI I FOD!," he yelled (GET OFF OF ME). He didn't mean to use Welsh, but he was angry and wasn't thinking right, so he went to the first language he learnt. The hand instantly released him, as if the owner had been burnt. He spun towards black hair. All he wanted to do was hurt him as much as he hurt. He buried the pain down, and focused on the smell around him. The force field was still there. He sensed its magic. He could tell it was easy to undo. He felt for it in his mind, and slowly began to pick it apart. Letting the magic take control as he supervised. There was a small Pop! as the magic of the force field was forced apart, and dissolved.

The black-haired boy gasped as he no doubt felt his magic come undone. Another look of fear crossed his eyes. Remus smelt the fear coming off of him. It angered him more. Rage filled his chest as he stared at the trembling boy on the ground. This was rage he had felt before. Rage that left no room for any sense, or any other emotion. There were station guards running towards him, but Remus didn't care. Pain flowed through him, and he didn't like it. He leapt forwards without another thought, he saw red as he came in contact with the boy trembling with fear. All Remus wanted to do was hurt him, and hurt him bad.

Romulus knew that look. That look where his brother was about to accidentally kill someone if he didn't stop it. He had to stop it. If Remus got expelled before he even got to school, then what would happen then? Go back home? Absolutely not. He ran hard towards his brother and the boy he had pinned beneath him. He was halfway to him when Remus right hooked his jaw, certainly breaking it. 3/4 of the way when Remus punched the boy in the nose. One thing about his brother, when he hit things, he liked them to break, and that's what happened to black hairs nose.

Blood was a steady stream down the young wizard's face when Romulus reached his brother at last.

He yanked Remus off and turned him to look at him. Pure furry looked back at him. His normally amber eyes were almost yellow, as fire seemed to have come behind them. Romulus had always been the calmer one of the twins. He thought more about his actions, his planned attacks. He wasn't smarter, by any means, Remus was the evil mastermind out of the two of them, but he was a lot more patient and forgiving than Remus. Remus held grudges and had the beat memory he had ever seen. Being able to remember who owed him, who he owed, and who were his enemies and allies. No friends, of course. There were no friends. Friends were dangerous. Allies and partners in crime were as close as you got, in the small Welsh town they lived in.

"Remus," Romulus said, as gently as he could, "Calm down."

"Don't tell me what to do. He attacked first; they both did! I had every right to have-"

"I know," Romulus cut him off. "You're right, but you need to calm down. At least wait till we're at school where there's a hospital before anyone needs to go to it, okay?"

"But-"

"Okay?" Romulus said with more force this time.

Remus huffed, "Okay, but you do not have permission to talk to me like that. I'm not a child."

"I never said you were."

Sirius watched the two brothers, presumably twins, talk in hushed voices. He was a little jealous, he couldn't lie. He and Reg used to have a bond like that. Where they would help each other through strong emotions. Either anger of fear or sadness. But for some reason, Reg wasn't talking to him as much. Ever since he got his Hogwarts letter. He decided he wasn't going to worry about it now. He was going to be at Hogwarts soon, so he didn't care. Not one bit.

He watched the brothers some more. They were identical almost exactly. Everything but their eyes were the same. One of them had amber eyes. He had never seen anyone with quite that color of eyes. Sure, he had seen light brown, and dark amber, but this was closer to liquid gold. The other one, however, had a blue that was leaning on gray. They had the same shape, but that was it with the similarities with their eyes. Not themselves, however. They had the same mess of light brown curls, sticking out everywhere, including their eyes. They had the same handsome face, with sharp cheekbones and a strong chin, but not too strong. They had the same jaw shape, and longer neck, but not too long. They had broad shoulders, with lanky arms. They were tall for their age, which he guessed was 11. They were skinny though. Too skinny to be healthy, that he was sure of.

As everyone on the platform had noticed, they were stronger than they looked. They looked as if they were weak, but they were a lot stronger than himself. They had easily overpowered Mulciber and Snape. Both of them had a broken nose and Snape had a broken jaw. They were being tended to right now, actually, by the medi witch on the train.

The two brothers seemed to have ended their conversation and headed towards the train. Better stay on their good side. Might die before the end of term if I don't, he thought to himself.

After his mother reminded him what his duty as the Black heir was, (Do not disappoint this family further Sirius, you are not our only son' and 'Do not befriend the wrong sort. If We get one word that you are hanging around mudbloods and blood-traitors, the consequences will be worse than you have ever experienced'), he went to board the train. He was late getting on, so of course all the compartments were full, just his luck. He walked past compartment after compartment. He finally found one that was relatively empty. Only two people were inside. He was about to open and ask if he could join them, then he realized who they were. He now knew why the compartment was just them.

It was the brothers off of the platform.

The ones who had beaten the shit out of Snape and Mulciber. He swallowed. He debated just finding a spot on the floor for the ride. You so desperately want to be a Gryffindor, he thought to himself, maybe start acting like one.

He swallowed, and opened the door.

"Sut yr ydym yn mynd i hedfan o dan y radar pe baem newydd gicio rhai ass?" asked the one with amber eyes.

"Dydw i ddim yn gwybod, efallai y dylech fod wedi meddwl am hynny cyn i chi golli eich shit ar y plentyn llwyd hwnnw," said the blue eyed one, defensively.

"Err, sorry to interrupt, everywhere else is full, and I was wondering if I could sit here? I won't bother you, but I don't want to sit on the floor for the rest of the ride," Sirius asked nervously. These guys could beat the living daylights out of him, and he was asking if he could sit in here with them? What was he thinking?!

"Dydw i ddim yn gwybod, beth ydych chi'n ei feddwl Romulus?" amber eyes asked. For fuck sakes he didn't even know if they spoke English or not. He had to have had a death wish.

"Stop the game Remus, I'm fine if he stays here. Now quit confusing this poor guy and speak English you little hurtyn," the man who Sirius thought to have the name Romulus from Remus's Welsh.

"Who you calling an idiot, Rom?" Remus asked with amusement. They both had very strong Welsh accents, and though he hated to have noticed, very lower class,

"Eh, I'm alright if the posh knob sits here, might be useful to have around," Remus replied. Sirius stared in confusion at him. He also hated that he noticed how handsome Remus was, with his amber eyes.

"Remus, no. We are here to make friends, not partners in crime, for fuck sakes," Romulus said with a laugh.

"Sorry," he said, "If you could excuse my ymennydd marw twin, he doesn't really do friends. Nice to meet you, I'm Romulus Lupin, that's Remus Lupin, the ymennydd marw one. I don't know your name, so if you could give it to me, that would be great."

"Oh... um... sure, yeah, um, I'm Sirius Orion Black III, nice to meet you."
