Minerva McGonagall
As he and Remus fought their way to be the first in the living room, Romulus caught a sent that he had only ever smelt on his father. That weird metal smell, with the smell of a gun that had just been fired. The scent of magic. Remus smelt it as well. His molten gold eyes flashed confusion, before a mask fell over is features. They straitened and walked into the living room silently. Years of being dirty street kids had taught them how to be stealthy.
When they came into the room, the wariness was obvious. Their father frowned at them. So, he hadn't had anything to drink yet. Good.
"Who's that?" Remus asked bluntly. God, he never could just shut up and be respectful even if he knew it would be better if he did.
"Shut it boy and be respectful. I'm going out. Your mother will be here and so will she," he jerked his head to the magic woman standing to the side. "If you miss behave, you will regret it, mark my words." Their father turned and walked out of the house. Romulus glanced at the woman he was referring to. She was tall and slim, looked about in her mid 30s. She had a severe expression, but Romulus could see the kindness behind the mask. She wore blue jeans and a dark green long sleeve shirt. She looked normal enough, but the sent still intrigued Romulus.
He glanced at Remus, who had the same hungry look for information as he did, he was sure.
"Who are you?" Remus repeated.
"I," she said, "am Minerva McGonagall. Deputy headmistress to the school of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. I have come to ask both of you to come and learn at this said school. Usually, with one of your parents being a wizard, we would have sent an owl to invite you to Hogwarts, but under the certain... circumstances, we thought it best to come to you in person."
"Well," Romulus said, trying not to roll his eyes, "We can't go to a boarding school."
"Until recently, you both could not. But there has been a change at Hogwarts. Albus Dumbledore is now headmaster of the school, and he accepts all young talented witches and wizards of all kinds."
"All kinds?" Remus asked, skepticism was one of the more obvious emotions on his face.
"All kinds," McGonagall said. Romulus couldn't help but get his hopes up. This was it. He would finally be out of this place.
"We could hurt someone," Remus said, a little panicked," We could kill someone. Or someone would find out, and tell everyone. Its so Dangerous."
"Mr. Lupin I will tell you this once and only once. It is all under control and safe. You are not your condition. Now, I hear that both of you are some trouble makers, yes? I will also only tell you this once. Stealing is not permitted at Hogwarts, that is final."

Professor McGonagall gave them their book lists, there instructions on how to get to platform 9 3/4. She gave them a rundown on the most important rules at the school. She assured them that no one would get hurt on the moons. Remus, ever so sarcastic, said, "Well except for us, of course." Romulus thought it was funny, McGonagall looked like she would love to put Remus in detention for it.
Soon enough, things were cleared up enough so that they didn't need to ask any more questions, and McGonagall was about to leave. When Romulus spoke up.
"Professor?" he asked tentatively.
"Yes?"
"Um... what would happen if someone found out about us?" he said gaining a small amount of confidence when the professor gave him a rare smile.
"That would depend on who found out about it." And she left.
