Rekindling

Newt didn't want to go to Hogwarts after finding out about the blood pact by Grindelwald, but he has to know the truth.

The blood pact could be many things and he isn't sure which one could be the one for this situation.

He sighed unhappily as he decided to go to Hogwarts even if it was risky for him.

Newt apparated on the bridge of Hogwarts and he saw Professor McGonagall right away as soon as he entered the school.

"Mr. Scamander! This is a surprised! Are you here to see Professor Dumbledore?" She asked.

"Yes, do you know where he is?" He asked.

"Of course, follow me."

Newt follows Minerva as they went to a different part of the castle. It wasn't long when they stopped in front of a door.

"He told me not to let anyone disturb him but since it's you, I think it should be alright," Minerva said with a smile.

Newt nodded his thanks and he took a deep breath before entering.

He hadn't been to this part of the castle before and he sees Albus standing in front of a mirror looking deep in thought.

"Professor Dumbledore?"

The man jumped clearly he was concentrated on the mirror as he turns to look at Newt.

"I thought I told Minerva not to let anyone disturb me?" Albus asked.

"She thought that since it's me that you wouldn't mind," Newt said as he looks at the mirror, "what is that?"

"The Mirror of Erised," Albus replied looking back at it, "it shows you what you most desire. Do you know what it's showing me right now, Newt?" He asked.

"What do you see?" Newt asked as he was a bit worried on what he was going to say.

"I see you and me having sex wildy," Albus said not telling him everything as he also sees a small vial.

"Oh come on! That's one of the cheesiest pick up lines, Albus!"

Albus smirked, "why don't you stand here and tell me what you see," he said.

Newt hesitated before doing what he was told and he looks at the mirror. Not long he sees himself hugging behind Albus as the two kissed.

He blushes at the sight as he looks at Albus who was giving him a knowing smile.

"Did you know that after we broke up all those years ago that I came down here to see it? And do you know what I saw back then? I saw Grindelwald staring right back at me holding a small vial," Albus said.

It was silence until Newt spoke. "Albus, when I was in New York, Grindelwald told me about The Blood Pact and he asked me to ask you about it," he said.

Albus fidgeted as he looks at Newt. "It's our symbol of love and promise," he said, "a promise that we won't fight each other."

"The Ministry of Magic called me in before I came to see you," Newt said, "they're desperate for finding Grindelwald after his escape from MACUSA. He probably got Credence again," he added.

"And they want me to fight him?" Albus asked.

"Yes."

"You know I can't, Newt. The vial wouldn't let me," Albus said.

"But Albus...!"

"Baby, I can't!" Albus snapped making Newt's eyes widened at the endearment that came with his anger.

He hadn't been called 'baby' for a long time and Newt misses it.

Albus sighed, "I'm sorry Newt. However I can look for Credence to see if he is somewhere," he said.

"You're busy here at Hogwarts, Albus. I know someone who could help me," Newt said determined.

Albus wasn't sure but he nodded, "do you want to go to my quarters, Newt?" Albus asked boldly making Newt's eyes widened at the question.

"I don't think now's the right time to do that," Newt said blushing.

"You can sense it though, can't you? The tension in the air?" Albus asked.

"Yes, you have no idea how badly that I want to go over there and kiss you sensessly," Newt said licking his lips.

"If...If you have the need to see me, you're always welcome here at Hogwarts and we can do something about it," Albus suggested.

Newt nodded, "I need to get going, Albus. The Aurors might know that I'm already here and they'll come after you," he said.

"Newt...?"

"I'm banned in traveling internationally and the Ministry asked me if you gave me orders in New York," he explained.

"Did you tell them?" Albus asked.

"No, of course not. I would never sell you out, Albus! But Aurors might be watching this place and myself," Newt said.

"I'll deal with the consequences so you don'thave to worry about me," Albus said giving Newt a smile.

Newt nodded but he was still worried.

The two ex-lovers walked side-by-side in the school of the hallways. Albus was walking with Newt to go to the bridge.

There were students mingling about and they could probably see Albus being close to him almost holding his hand.

Newt is still unsure about going public even if it's the 1930s. He knows there's tension between the two of them and he cares about Albus, but he's still unsure.

Once arriving at the bridge, Albus took Newt's arm before he is able to Apparate. "Here, take this," he said giving him a small card.

"What is it?" Newt asked curiously.

"A safe house."

"Albus, I don't need a safe house."

"Yes you do, baby," Albus said making Newt's breathing becoming erratic as Albus let's go off his arm. "An old friend of mine lives in that safe house and I'm sure he'll be a good host to you," Albus said.

Newt turns to look at him with a raise eyebrow making Albus scoffed. "Not like that, Newt. Although I wouldn't mind if Nicolas was younger and we had a threesome with you...."

"Albus!"

"Alright, alright. But here baby, take the card and think about it, for me?" Albus asked.

Newt gulped and nodded as he took the card as he knows he couldn't say 'no' to Albus.
