the fandoms pt. 1
So, as you probably know by now, there are a lot of fandoms in this crossover story.
I mean it, y'all, there are a crap-ton of fandoms in this universe that I've created.
Of course, more fandoms will be added the more the story continues, but as of now the main fandoms that we need to worry about right now are the ones involving our main characters. However, because it is also set in the real modern-day world, there will be a lot of changes.
But one thing you need to know before we get into the differences of each individual fandom is that the majority of the characters in The Mortis Academy series, including ones in the first five books, are located on Earth-1 in the Omniverse. This will be the main universe in the entire series that the story takes place on because this is where most of our main characters are. Now let's move into the individual changes of each fandom.
For starters, Game of Thrones doesn't exist! The A Song of Ice and Fire books don't exist! The reason for this is because I made Westeros an actual place in this new world as explained and stated in the previous chapters. Therefore, the TV show and book series that we all know and love do not exist in this story. Also, the world of ASoIaF has been modernized, not to the point of being futuristic and losing that medieval sense of ambience, but in a way that blends well with the world GRRM has already set up. This means that some of the fashion choices will be modernized to match with the current era of early 2000s, but in places like the Middle East/Essos, they will have more formal attire that closely resembles the ASoIaF world.
Secondly, the Harry Potter book/movie series does still exist, but due to that, their have been a few name changes for some of the actual characters in this fanfiction (mostly just the last names). And another thing, since there are a few actors from Harry Potter that have appeared in other fandoms (specifically Tom Felton being in season three of The Flash TV show on the CW), I will be choosing another actor to portray the roles of certain characters in certain fandoms or else I'll write them out completely. Aside from that, I will also be changing the name of Hogwarts to Elmont-- don't ask why that name in particular, it was just the first thing that popped into my head-- to avoid any confusion with what's "real" and what isn't.
Next, I want to discuss arguably one of the two most important fandoms associated with this story: Star Wars. So, yes, you heard right the SW fandom is one of the top two most important fandoms in the story, hence the reason why the story is called Mortis Academy as a way to pay homage to one of the most important storylines in the Star Wars universe. The only changes that I can really think of off the top of my head that I have made are some of the names. Anakin Skywalker is now Andy Walker. Obi-Wan Kenobi is now Benjamin Kennedy. Mace Windu is now Mace Windom (side note: he is also Nick Fury). Ahsoka Tahno is actually going to keep her name the way it is, because in my book, she was born way before the SWTCW show came out and her dad is from America but his parents are from Mali and her mom was from Puerto Rico. Her name is my way of adding on to her ethnical background. Padme Amidala's name will also remain the same for similar reasons as Ahsoka's.
Also, the Sith are a supernatural criminal organization made up of an assortment of monsters. They have Djinn warriors who run the drug circuit. The vampires who run the kidnapping and human trafficking circuit. The werewolves control the black market sales for weapons, drugs, prostitutes, and even human body parts. Finally, there is a coven of witches who practice dark magic known as the Night-sisters. They are responsible for gathering intel and finding things that are usually impossible to locate. Within the Sith crime syndicate, there is an elite group of members known as the Sith Lords. They include the "dark side" acolytes such as Savage Oppress and Asajj Ventress, and the two right-hand men of the leader of this syndicate, Apprentices Tyrannus and Maul. The true identity of their leader is unknown to the rest of the world and most people within the organization call him the Emperor, but he has a moniker: Sidious.
I will go into the other main fandoms and their new differences and changes in the next chapter. Hope you enjoyed this bit of info.
