The First Day of UA and the Assessment Test
"Alright Gremlin, I've arranged for a beanbag chair behind the lecture stand for you. Your laptop has been placed beside it, and I want you out at Field Alpha for the assessment tests." I tell my nephew. He merely nods and enters the classroom just before me. Tenya and the Midoriya boy are chatting quietly though Tenya is holding up his persona of a stoic rule follower. Luckily it doesn't send Haku into a panic attack from the loudness, though Bakugo's screaming is a near thing if Tenya hadn't had the foresight to tug Haku's headphones up over his hearing aids. Midoriya simply adjusts something looped around his ears that I recognize as some very shitty hearing aids the same brand that I managed to get Haru to allow Zashi to replace with Hero grade ones. His files don't say anything about hearing impairments, so I make note to get more information as I get the students to settle down. "I am Aizawa Shouta, your homeroom teacher. You will address me as Aizawa-sensei. It took you too long to notice me except for Iida, Midoriya and Tokoyami. Under your desks are gym suits, go change and meet me on Field Alpha for a Quirk assessment test." I order as I toss a gym uniform to Midoriya.
It takes them ten minutes to meet me outside, though Haku drags the raven headed teen alongside him. "What about orientation Sensei?" The pink cheeked Uraraka asks. I merely state that Yuuei allows their teachers to run their classes as they see fit, though I add that anyone that doesn't perform to their fullest and places last will be expelled. The invisible girl that we had to allow in because Haru couldn't even verify that she even had points asks, "Sensei, why is there a little kid with us? Should he be in his own school?" "This is my nephew and Nezu's personal student. Due to circumstances that are none of your business, he will be a part of this class and a couple of others. For the most part, get used to seeing him here because of this." I announce. Going through the tests, Haku has a message pop up on my screen stating, "Midoriya reeks of suppressants and terror anytime Bakugo uses his explosions. Also, that grape kid keeps leering at the girls and it's creepy." At the end of the assessment, I've had to use Erasure on Midoriya to prevent him from breaking a limb, though he does end up fracturing his index finger after the ball toss. Mineta thankfully places last, but he does show potential, so I mentally make note to keep a close eye on him. "It was a logical ruse, you all show potential. Head back to the classroom and pick up a syllabus. Someone will be along to dismiss you all. Midoriya, Iida, remain behind if the two of you would?" I ask. "I knew he was lying, didn't you?" Yaoyorozu, the female recommendation student says. "He really wasn't lying, my neighbor told me he expelled the entirety of 1-A last year." Midoriya stutters out. "Midoriya, why does your medical file not state that you wear hearing aids? We need to know in order to account for potential damages. If they aren't the right type, we can have Recovery Girl fit you for proper ones." I ask the teen.
"They're recent sensei, and it happened after I sent in my records. I wasn't sure how to get that changed over, so I was hoping to actually speak to you anyway. And hypothetically, if I were to come to you about someone potentially putting someone I know on suppressants for the past nine years, who would I talk to." The boy replies. "First of all, after school today, stay behind, and I'll take you to Recovery Girl to get hero grade aids like Present Mic, and Haku wear. Second of all, if you can prove it, I can help this hypothetical person, seeing as Haku's previous guardians did the same to him before I managed to get custody." I order the boy. "I can get the proof in the next few days." he adds. That afternoon when we head back to the apartment, Hizashi switches of his hearing aids until he has the radio show later, preferring to sign at home. Kyohaku is quick to follow, and knowing that we are in a safe area, I'm quick to switch into civilian clothes instead of my jumpsuit and heavy boots. 'You have any home assignments, Kyohaku, that need to get done.' I sign to my nephew, using his full name to get his full attention. 'I have three assignments I need to finish, but Isao-chan and I have to meet up at the library near Yuuei to finish the last of the research, but you and Zashi have classes to teach, and his brother just started school today.' He replies. 'Why don't you send him an email, and have him meet us at the cat cafe this Sunday, if his older brother would be willing to take him.' Zashi is quick to offer. Thirteen minutes later, Kyohaku gets a message back from his classmate at Mahaou stating that his brother would be willing to apparate his brother here instead if we are okay with that.
