Escape
Darkness filled the atmosphere, a chilling sensation went down everyone's spine, a ball of black smoke appeared from the chandelier and humanised into an unmistakable figure. His pale skin that haunted nightmares was just as described- chalk like complexion with a skull like face, his red eyes owering and glaring over every figure present in the room- how did the Blacks live knowing that such haunting red eyes were present within the same roof as them- had cat like slits. He had snake-like slits for nostrils, a thin skeleton-like body and thin, unnaturally long fingers, wrapped around a singular red wand, with round bumps all over it.
The wand itself seemed cracked. Albus seemed to recognize the wand, the elder wand, which rightfully belonged to his father. "Ah, my children-"
"Child you mean," Aquila spoke, interrupting him, "I'm no child of yours, you no-nose, bald, homicidal, hypocritical maniac, even a skeleton wouldn't be jealous of you!" Albus desperately tried to hold his laughter at the insults thrown at the 'Dark Lord'. Delphini however did not hesitate to hold hers. "I WILL HAVE Silence!" Voldemort yelled, if he had a nose, ALbus would imagine the nostrils flaring out in anger. "No, you will not!" Aquila yelled back, almost hissing out, "Now listen here you half-blood-"
"HOW DARE YOU CALL ME SUCH A DISGUSTING WORD!" the serpent-like figure yelled once more, "Crucio!" Albus watched in horror as a light emitted from the wand was directed towards Aquila. Before it could reach her though, it vanished, mid-air. It was like a shield was made in front of the girl. Aquila gave the owner of the light a smug smile. That smile broke into a giggle. It wasn't that cute giggle Albus loved so dearly, it was a giggle of a maniac. That same giggle turned into laughter that scared the scar out of Harry's forehead, "Crucio me!"
Aquila laughed once more, a laugh that reminded Albus of Bellatrix. 'She is her daughter,' Albus thought. "Might as well throw a killing curse while you're at it!" She laughed again. You could see the slits in those red eyes get narrower. "NO!" Harry yelled, realising what the girl was about to do. She was going to get herself killed. "Aquila, what are you doing?" Scorpius yelled, struggling against the binds.
"AVADA KEDAVRA!" a green light was emitted blinding Albus before he could scream for it to stop. He heard a scream, one that did not belong to Aquila. The light shut down, as if someone said 'Nox'. Albus opened his eyes, blinking to adjust. He no longer felt restrained to the chair he had been seated on. Voldemort was on his hands and knees, as if just fallen, and Aquila was holding a wand that looked like it was Delphini's. "Kill me? She spoke softly, "You cannot kill me! I am a Riddle, with your blood. You cannot kill me. You've only just killed yourself further. I hope you realise that."
Albus felt Draco grab his arm and a crack was heard. Albus insides squirmed. It felt like he was being forced through a tight tube. But a second later it was over. Albus opened his eyes, which had closed on its own accord, and took in his surroundings. Several tattered huts, or shops, were visible in his surroundings. It kind of looked like how Scorpius had described Hogsmeade to him. Ranks 3 and 4 were never allowed to go to Hogsmeade. Albus was quickly pulled into a shop along with the rest. Albus couldn't comprehend where he was being dragged to but soon he found himself in a cosy looking room with couches. He saw a man who wore glasses and had very bright blue eyes. He had a long and thin figure with a great deal of long, stringy grey hair and beard. Albus thought he was a rather grumpy-looking old man. He kind of had an appearance like a goat.
"Harry Potter," he grumbled in annoyance. "Abeforth Dumbledore," Harry spoke in the same manner, "we need to walk through Arrianna's portrait.
Albus knew about Aberforth. He was Albus Dumbledore's, the man he was named after, brother. The man simply nodded and a portrait with a bright looking girl opened. The passage looked dark and narrow. "Where are we going?" Delphini asked. "Hogwarts," Harry spoke. Delphini was shocked. She did not know there was another passage in and out of Hogwarts. Delphini followed the others.
"Lumos," Hermione whispered, holding Rose close to her, following Harry. Scorpius went next, then Albus, Aquila, Ron, Draco, James and finally Delphini before the portrait shut close. "We met Aberforth during the second war," Harry informed. Harry furrowed his brows before asking, "How is Aquila not dead? I mean I'm happy she's not, but-"
"He has your blood," Aquila interrupted, "I have his. Make sense yet?" Harry shook his head. Aquila sighed, "He used your blood to resurrect himself. Therefore he had that magic your mother gave to protect you in his system. I have his blood within me because I am his daughter. I am- or was- also a Horcrux. Therefore that magic your mother gave recognised me as you."
"But doesn't a magic from a being recognize magical signatures and not you being a Horcrux?" Hermione questioned.
"Dark magic leaves traces," Aquila quoted, "Having something as dark as a Horcrux inside of you alters your magical signature. Since Harry's magical signature was altered before it could fully develop, Lily's magical signature recognised that new magical signature as her son. Since me and Harry have the same person's Horcrux and my magical signature got altered before it could develop, the magical signature from the DNA from Harry's blood that I carried through Voldemort recognised me as her son as well. Therefore, Lily's love protected me."
"When did you figure that out?" Draco said, impressed. "While we were in that cell, I remembered the stuff I read from Dumbledore's book, 'The Art of Horcruxes.'"
"Dumbledore had a book!?" Hermione said. Aquila nodded as they halted in front of the opening. Harry brought out a hand to push the portrait open.
