When?
Winter break had soon gotten over and the Weasley's had moved into their new home. It was bigger that last time, on Delphini's account. The kids, except Victoire (she was very reluctant to let Delphini go), had soon gotten back to Hogwarts, separately, of course and Draco had promised to stay in touch with the Golden Trio. Aquila was very behind on her studies. Her potions marks were decreasing daily, upsetting Draco slightly. She gave most of her time and attention in class. Spending time with the Wotters whenever she could and before she knew it, she was heading out of the Great Hall, successfully having finished her last O.W.L.s. She spotted a now fifteen year old Scorpius looking through his paper. The last paper was DADAJ. Aquila happily approached Scorpius, "How was the paper?"
"Terrible," Scorpius said dreadfully, "The best I'm getting is an 'A'. You?" "What questions did you do wrong?" Aquila asked, Ignoring the last bit of Scorpius's question. "What does a Patronus represent?," Scorpius mumbled, "I wrote your guardian animal."
"The Patronus represents that which is hidden, unknown but necessary within the personality," Aquila corrected, "What else?" "Three ways to spot a werewolf?" Scorpius thought. Aquila sighed and held his arm. Then she dragged him to the Rank 3 and 4 common-room. Albus and Rose were sitting on the couch discussing the paper. Albus spotted the duo enter and pink dust instantly settled on his cheek. Aquila smiled at him which only worsened his poor hearts control. He wasn't sure how or when, but he had come to terms with his crush on the girl. How had he fallen for a girl whose family his own family hated (until recent events)? He wasn't even sure when he had fallen for her. Aquila sat next to Albus and Scorpius sat next to Rose as they discussed the paper. James had entered the common room from his dorm and heading out. Albus gave him a thumbs up. He had his N.E.W.T.S. now.
Albus looked back at Aquila. Her black hair and bounced a little when she had laughed at the ridiculous joke Rose had made. Her hand had curled in her lap as she cover her stomach with that same hand. Her right leg was crossed on top of her left and she had worn a white knit-elastic waist pants and the Christmas hoodie she had received from the Weasleys when they had visited. It had become more of a crop top over the year. Aquila had stretched, causing her shirt to go up, revealing her slightly forming abs she had received form Quidditch. Aquila had replaced Rose as a Keeper and Rose had replaced Sahaj as a Chaser. Albus quickly looked away. When had he fallen for her this hard? Perhaps it was when Aquila invited him to sit with her in Potions during their first year:
Albus stumbled into the empty classroom. It was the middle of October and he was badly bruised. Again. He wasn't sure where to sit. He didn't want to get beaten because 'he sat on their seat'. "You can sit with me," a high pitched voice called out. Albus looked up and spotted a girl with curly, slightly bushy black hair and greenish eyes. Her nose was buttoned and her jawline was semi-sharp. By her jewelry Albus could tell she was a Rank 2 or 1. He instantly recognized her. It was Aquila from the platform and his housemate. He smiled lightly and sat beside her.
Or perhaps it was when she helped him with his exams at the end of first year:
Albus pulled at his hair. He couldn't learn all of this. He had been so coped up with the continuous beatings that he endured that he didn't have time to study. Now with only one week he was desperate to soak in some information, but he couldn't understand any of it. "Do you need help?" a familiar voice spoke. Albus tilted his head up and saw Aquila standing there with a book bag, clearly here in the library to study as well. Albus hesitantly nodded. She smiled and sat down in front of him.
Maybe it was when she saved his ass in third year:
Albus was sunk down against the wall with Zabini and his cronies ganging up on him. Zabini blew the first punch, breaking Albus's nose. Blood dripped down from his face as he received another blow to his stomach. A wound was definitely forming there. Albus couldn't defend himself because he would get detention. He hadn't eaten in a week and he was hungry. He couldn't afford to go another day without food so he silently took the beating. Zabini and his minions were suddenly blown away by him. They looked terrified as they stared straight ahead and ran. Albus looked up and saw Aquila with her wand out. She had white jeggings and a blue top underneath her Gryffindor robes. Albus never understood her obsession with white but he liked that. Aquila immediately knelt in front of him and took out a handkerchief. It was white with silver embroidery near it's edges. She crumbled it into a ball and started dabbing the blood off his face. His heart sped up when her face got a bit closer too his-
Nah, he might as well may have been whipped in his Third Year. He snapped back into present time and leaned forwards to see which question the others were discussing. Aquila quickly yelped and her hand flew to her forehead. She pulled it back and saw blood dripping from her hand. Albus quickly removed her hair from her face and saw a cut being magically dug into her skin. Tears prickled her eyes as they became moist and glossy. "Rose get a wet cotton ball," Albus said hurriedly and she ran to her dormitory. Aquila gasped as the pain became stronger.
A blaze of time flashed before her eyes. "You have failed to locate the boy Lucius," Aquila spoke as she rounded a kneeling figure. The voice wasn't her own though. It was Voldemort's, she was sure. "My lord," the pale blond head spoke, "Trust me, give us a bit more time-"
"I have given you enough time!" She yelled/hissed. A black-green snake hissed as it slithered around Aquila's shoeless, dirty, pale feet. "M-my Lord!" Lucius stuttered. Aquila was surprised by this. Her uncle never stuttered. But her confusion was washed by an anger not her own. "Nagini, kill," she spoke. 'Who is Nagini?' Aquila thought. Just then the black-green snake pounced at Lucius, her fangs thrusted into his neck as he screamed. She stayed like that before she let go, letting Lucius bleed until he would die.
Aquila was back, in her own body, in the common room. She was panting and Albus was holding a wet cotton ball to the right corner of her head. Her eyes snapped to Scorpius, "Uncle Luci, he is bleeding. A snake, Nagini, I think, Stabbed him with her fangs. We have to hurry!" Scorpius got to his feet and went running to his father. Minutes later, Draco appeared through the hole with his son. "I just sent a letter to mother, to check on father," He turned to Aquila, "Are you sure of what you saw?" Aquila nodded, "He was so angry." Albus sat her down and continued dabbing her wound. He removed the cotton ball when all the blood was gone and Albus, Rose and Draco had gasped at her wound. "What?" Aquila asked unconsciously as her hand went up to her wound.
"The scar," Albus started but the words were sucked out of his mouth. "It looks just like Uncle Harry's," Rose finished. Just then James entered his common room, excited about his paper, but his smile vanished when he spotted Aquila's scar and was filled in.
