Chapter 6

Remus POV

"Remus, come on please?!"

Currently, Remus was lying on his bed reading, scratch that, attempting to read his book, while Sirius begged him to go to the party in the common room tonight. He was also trying to avoid looking at Sirius because he looks hot as fuck.

He's wearing his leather jacket as always, with a Led Zeppelin t-shirt underneath, and black ripped skinny jeans that make his ass look phenomenal. He's also wearing his black combat boots that make him an inch taller, with his hair in a messy bun a few pieces of his hair falling out, and farming his face making him look artfully messy. He was also wearing eyeliner that was smudged slightly but only increased the punk rock look he had.

He was refusing to go to the party. Parties weren't his thing, the last time he went to one it ended with a fight and the other guy with a broken nose.

"I don't like parties. I'm good." Remus sighed.

"Please!" Sirius was giving him his best puppy dog eyes, sadly it was working, "Come on, it will be fun. Just for a little bit and if you don't like it you can leave. Please!"

Fuck. He was gonna regret this.

"Fine, but only 5 minutes and if I don't like it I'm coming back up."

Sirius smiles, teeth and all before pouncing on Remus and tackling him into a hug.

Ever since they became friends he's noticed Sirius is a very touchy person. He's always touching at least one person, whether it's a hug, laying his head in someone's lap, or even as simple as having his shoulder against another's, it was constant.

Now, Remus didn't hate it, but he didn't love it. Touch was something he was not very familiar with, at least affectionately. He was fine with Sirius putting his head in his lap but when he hugged him it made him a little uncomfortable. He tended to tense and not hug back.

Though he never said anything and Sirius never seemed to notice.

"This is going to be so fun!" Sirius yelled, right in his ear, causing him to flinch but again Sirius didn't seem to notice.

"Come on, let's go." He pried Sirius off of him and stood up, walking towards the door. As he reached for the handle he noticed, that no one was joining him. "What?"

"You're wearing that?" James asked, in what sounded like a disgusted tone.

Remus was wearing a knitted forest green jumper and jeans like he always did. No, it was not exactly party attire, but he didn't care he didn't even want to go.

Remus raised an eyebrow at him, "and you're wearing that?" He responded in the same disgusted tone making sure to look James up and down with a critical eye.

James was literally wearing a T-shirt and jeans, he didn't have room to judge.

James' face started turning red, "What do you mean? This is casual attire, fit for a party. We're not going to the bloody library!"

"No we're not, but if you want me to join you then I'm wearing what makes me comfortable. If not, I am perfectly happy to stay here." He let go of the door handle and started walking back to his bed.

"NO!" It was Sirius who yelled, "James stop being a twat before I punch you, and Remus you're going to the party. You look great!" Sirius smiled at Remus sending butterflies into his stomach and a faint blush appeared on his cheeks.

God, he hated having a crush on his roommate. He could never escape him. James rolled his eyes but didn't say anything else, opting to walk to the door. The minute they left their dorm he could hear the music blasting from downstairs.

Well, here goes nothing.

As they reached the bottom of the steps, Pete ran off to the drinks table spotting Mary, and James was grabbed by his football buddies, leaving him and Sirius alone.

He stood there awkwardly unsure of what to do now.

"Want to get a drink?" Sirius asked.

Remus nodded and they walked over to the table. He grabbed a cup of fire whiskey and chugged it in one go. He knows he really shouldn't be drinking but if he was going to be here, he's going to be here drunk. He doesn't drink often but when he does, he drinks hard.

He filled his cup again and turned back to Sirius who had his own drink which looked like some type of beer.

"Who knew you were such a drinker?" Sirius had to yell over the music.

Remus shrugged, "I'm not as innocent as I look!" He yelled back.

Sirius laughed, "Yeah I figured that out after the pranks! Got any more surprises?"

Remus smirked and leaned close to Sirius' ear, "I'm full of surprises."

He blames the alcohol. If he didn't drink he would have never been that brave. When Remus starts drinking he tends to gain confidence that he would otherwise not have.

He leaned away looking back at the crowd ignoring the pounding in his chest. It was odd, because of his height he was able to see the top of everyone's head. He watched as people's heads bobbed up and down.

They stood together for a moment, sipping and watching. It wasn't awkward, almost peaceful in all the chaos.

After a while, he watched above the crowd as people began to form a circle a few feet ahead, he nudged Sirius' shoulder, "What going on over there?" He nodded his head towards the forming circle.

Sirius had to go on his tippy toes to see, making Remus snicker and Sirius glare at him. But he could see the small smile on his lips.

"I don't know, let's find out." Sirius grabbed his hand and began pushing through the crowd. Sirius spotted James in the circle and pulled them over to him.

"Oh hey mates, were you playing truth or dare, want to join?" James smiles at them.

"Sure!" Sirius replied not bothering to ask Remus before he was yanking him down and pulling them into the circle.

"I don't want to play, Sirius." He tried getting up but Sirius wouldn't let go.

"Please, just have fun." Sirius jutted out his lip, putting on his pouting face.

He's lucky he's cute.

"Fine," he grumbled.

He sat down with his legs In Front of him, trying to squeeze in. His thigh was pressed up against Sirius distracting him with the warmth of his thigh and he missed the rules.

He tried to ignore it and focused back on the game, it seemed a boy from Hufflepuff was starting based on the emblem on his sweatshirt, "Remus," his head perked up at his name not expecting to be chosen first, "since your the new kid, truth or dare?"

"Oh um, truth." He took a quick sip of his drink feeling uncomfortable with the attention.

"If you could shag any girl here, who would you shag?" They both asked.

Oh God, this is it.

"None." Everyone looked at him in disbelief.

"Come on, there has to be one girl." The guy pushed.

"Nope. None." He replied.

"Why? What are you, gay?" The guys asked, confused.

Remus simply replied, "Yes" he stared at the boy raising an eyebrow daring him to say something. The boy stared back wide-eyed, obviously not expecting him to say yes.

"Oh, sorry I didn't mean to offend you in any way." The boy said finally coming to his senses.

"No worries." He offered a small smile. "It's my turn right?" A few nodded in confirmation, "James, truth or dare?"

James peaked up looking at Remus defiantly, "Dare."

"Um, remove Sirius socks with your teeth." He shrugged.

He sucked at dares, that was part of the reason he didn't want to play.

"Ewww." James looked disgusted.

"Well I don't know, I suck at dares. Blame Sirius I didn't want to play." He took another sip of his drink.

He felt Sirius move beside him and turned to watch as he removed his black boots and stuck his feet in James' face.

"There you go Jamie boy." Sirius grinned smugly, shoving his feet in James' face. He heard the group laugh, as James tried to get away from Sirius' feet.

"Come on James, you have to do it. You never back down from a dare." He wasn't sure who said it but the voice sounded feminine, coming from somewhere in the circle.

James scrunched his nose in disgust, "Fine. But for the record, I hate you Remus, and will never forgive you."

Remus nodded, "I can live with that."

The whole group watched in disgusted fascination as James peeled both Sirius's socks off his feet only using his teeth. Sirius was laughing the whole time celebrating in his friend's pain.

When James finished, cheers went around the group. Meanwhile, James grabbed the first drink he saw and chugged it. Sirius kicked up his feet in celebration, cheering for James.

Eventually, the group settled and Sirius put his shoes and socks back on.
