Note
Okay so I was watching tiktoks on the 2nd of May and I I was reminded of that Molly Weasley boggart was her family members dead so that gave me a slightly evil idea. What if Molly went into denial when she see Fred's body and convinces herself it's a Bogart and thus this little tidbit was born. Mine that description if you'd like to continue. Full disclosure I did cry several times while writing this

Molly Weasley shook with adrenaline as she helped Minerva McGonagall carry the body of a girl who couldn't have been more than 18 to the Great Hall. She thinks she recognizes her as an Avery so she might be mistaken as the socks she's wearing indicate that she's a Ravenclaw.

They placed the body carefully down on the floor and Molly began to go look for her own children.

Relief washed over her as she saw Bill and Charlie carrying in a body and ginny comforting a terrified looking older wizard with a rather nasty black eye and a deep gash on his chest. Okay at least three of her babies are safe.

She continues to walk through the Great Hall and nearly runs headlong into Arthur who seems to be doing everything he can to get her to stop walking forward.

When she realizes why her heart plummets to her feet.

Fred, her Fred, her baby is laying limp and pale normally expressive brown eyes staring at nothing and his mouth stuck in a pale imitation of a smile.

Her mind goes into free fall as the world Fades out around her. This can't be, he couldn't be dead, not her Fred, not her little boy.

Then she remembers it, about two years before at grimmauld place, that's it this wasn't real it's just it's just a boggart, it has to be.

With a shaky hand she pulls out her wand and points it at the boggart.

Riddikulus!

Nothing happens

Riddikulus!

Nothing happens

Riddikulus!

Nothing happens

Riddikulus!

Still nothing

She cast the spell over and over again desperately willing it to work until Arthur walks over to her and puts a hand on her shoulder,

Riddikulus!

She turns to her husband

" Arthur, why isn't it working?"

He shakes his head, tears streaming down his face now, no mollywobbles darling, it's not a boggart."

"No! No you're wrong.  Riddikulus! Our son can't be dead. Riddikulus!  Merlin's beard Arthur why aren't you helping? Riddikulus! Why isn't it working"

Arthur gently takes her wand from her and envelops her in a hug.

"I'm sorry Molly I'm sorry, he's gone, I'm so sorry" with that Arthur seems to break his resolve to keep it together for her and begins to sob into her hair.

No, no, no, no, oh Merlin no!  This couldn't be happening, not her Freddy she had been so harsh on him and George. Oh, oh No, George! Poor George, what was he going to do? They were always together. What was going to happen to their shop? They had worked so hard for it. She suddenly wishes she had told Fred more often that she had been wrong about their decision to open a joke shop.

No no, this wasn't real, that was a boggart not her Fred, it had to be! Right?

But it wasn't, Arthur was still crying and then a teary-eyed, panicky Percy ran up to her babbling about how he was so sorry. It happened so quick and there was nothing he could do and how he wished it was him.

Something terrible ripped through her chest as she realized she had to face it.  Fred,  her baby, her fourth  born son was dead and he was never coming back.

"Arthur" she askef in a shaky voice "Can I see him?"

Arthur nodef quietly and lead her over to the body.

She hesitated for a moment before tentatively crouching down to touch his face. His skin was cold and clammy, this was real,  the thing she feared the most had happened. She'd outlived one of her children. She fell to her knees, collapsed onto his body and began to sob.
