The room of requirements had its perks. Once it was discovered students from every house used it to their advantage as much as they could. Most of the time it was used for big parties, having enough space to fit any amount of students without a second thought. Tonight though, Fred was using it for a different reason.
It was hard to find private space to spend with a partner at Hogwarts that wasn’t a broom cupboard or an empty class room. This made having a romantic night quite difficult, unless you knew how to find the room of requirement.
It was his and Lee’s anniversary, and the room had set everything out perfectly. They had their favourites for dinner, a nice warm fire to keep them cozy and a bed that made Lee’s face flush a dark shade of red when he first noticed it. Once they had finished their meal they found themselves strewn across the bed haphazardly with a plate of strawberries and chocolate sauce.
Fred lay across Lee’s lap, sighing dramatically as he looked up at him with complete puppy dog eyes, “Leeeeeee! Feed me and tell me I’m pretty!”
Lee chuckled, showing off an equally dramatic eye roll while he picked up a strawberry and dangled it close enough to Fred’s face for him to take a bite, “you’re very pretty baby, though I know something that would make you even prettier.”
“Oh?” Fred raised an eyebrow and looked up at Lee in amusement, “and hat on would that be exactly?”
Lee reached into his robe and pulled out a sky blue jewellery box, plopping it on top of Fred’s chest in a way he hoped would look casual but definitely made his nerves clear, “happy anniversary Freddy.”
Fred looked at the box for a moment before finding Lee’s eyes and smiling softly at him. After he had surprised him that morning with flowers and a gift of his own and got nothing in return he had just assumed he wasn’t getting anything, which he was fine with, but he couldn’t help the heat that built up in his chest as he looked back down at the box.
He picked it up and opened it carefully, revealing a sliver bracelet inside that held a charm of a beaters bat and a microphone.
“I thought it would be nice to have something that represented both of us. You obviously don’t have to wear it if you don’t like it, it’s a bit stupid really I just-“ Lee’s rambling was cut off when Fred’s lips found his, fingers running into his hair as the kiss was deepened, leaving him breathless when Fred pulled away.
“I love it, it’s the most thoughtful gift anyone has ever gotten me. Thank you sweetheart.” He looked back at the bracelet and took it out of the box. He struggled to get it on one handed until Lee felt sympathy for him, helping him put it on with a little laugh.
“I kinda love you Weasley,” he muttered with a shy smile, stroking his thumb across Fred’s jaw.
Fred reached up and placed another, less intense kiss on Lee’s lips, “I kinda love you too Jordan.”
