Konti pa.
Aiah just came home from her morning run holding a bouquet of lilies, coffee, and waffles.
Before heading out, she left a note on Stacey's bedside table.
“I'm out for a run, will be back for breakfast.
Don't miss me too much.
Wife<3”
Stacey woke up with Aiah's side of the bed empty. She already knew where Aiah would be even before she read the note.
—
Stacey is watering their plants at their mini garden that Aiah–and eventually Stacey–organized.
Their morning smells like basil and mint–mostly basil. They love it. How basil would easily release its aroma just by slightly being swayed.
Aiah loves mornings. How quiet it is. How everyone and everything is just waking up. How chill and relaxing it is. Flowers blooming and plants spreading their leaves preparing to catch the sun's rays—It's like her Stacey.
How Stacey would absorb the first rays of the sun while in their garden.
How Stacey would create a rainbow from hose spraying to the air. And how she would smile from how pretty it is.
Forget about the pink bougainvillea, or that kalachuchi.
Why did she even plant that red spider gumamela and those birds of paradise?
Who needs that santan and those lilies she's holding?
When Stacey is the most beautiful flower in the garden. She's sweeter than that drop of santan nectar. Blooming than the lily she's holding. And more vibrant than the bougainvillea.
Aiah has always thought Stacey is the prettiest. She doesn't have to have romantic feelings for her to see how beautiful she is.
“Hey, wife!” Stacey called breaking Aiah's train of thoughts. “Ano yan?” she asked, pointing at the flowers.
“Flowers.” Aiah walked to Stacey and handed the flowers. She looked at Stacey's eyes and smiled. “Happy five months to us. And I got some breakfast. Kain tayo?”
“Wow, such a sweet, loving wife. Parang ‘di ako iniwang mag-isa.”
“Ikaw ang ayaw sumama, honeybunch.”
“ew, ‘honeybunch’ the heck”
“Sis, kinilig ka lang, ‘ew ew’ ka pa jan.”
“Wow, ‘sis’ na ulit ako sayo, asawa ko?” Stacey teased with puppy eyes and that stupid baby voice.
“Ok, wala ka na palang breakfast.”
“Eme lang eh. Waffles ba yan?”
“Yep! With butter and strawberry jam”
“Yon! Kaya mahal na mahal kita e!”
Saying their love was never a problem. They never cringe or get embarrassed with the words “I love you” and “mahal kita”. They have been friends for 15 years anyways. What's there to be embarrassed about?
Eh totoo naman.
They love each other.
They decided to have their breakfast in the garden.
Moments like this are proof that they made the right decision. Marrying each other might be the best choice they had ever made.
A happy wife is a happy life, indeed.

Beside their three absolute agreements, there are varying agreements. These varying agreements has a consideration to add another agreement or alter existing agreement if necessary.
One of those is they will share the master's bedroom.
As for the consideration for this agreement, the other two rooms will be their own space.
It's great! Still having your own space despite being married and literally sharing everything–even surnames.
When they don't feel like sharing one bed, they will sleep in their own rooms. It seems to be useless now, though. Because they've been sharing one bed for the past 3 months. And Aiah, has been using Stacey's coffee table in her office to work.
“Mumultuhin na yung office mo, Aiah. Lagi ka nalang nandito.”
“Eh. Tinatamad ako ‘pag nandon ako. I'm more productive ‘pag nakikita kita.”
“Clingy mo, bes.”
“Call it what you want. Basta, all I know is I get motivated working when I'm beside you.”
Stacey suddenly became silent. When Aiah looks at her to see why–Stacey is already looking at her.
“What's the problem?”
“That's how I feel.”
“Huh?”
“I hate being alone, Aiah. I hate it kapag gumigising ako tapos wala ka sa tabi ko.”
Ever since then, Aiah would wake up earlier and make sure to go back home before Stacey woke up at 8:00 am. She would wash up and slide right back to bed and wait for Stacey to wake up.
She ensures that when Stacey opens her eyes, she will never be alone.
—
Aiah is on a mission to convince Stacey to come with her on her morning jogs.
Ever since they got married, both of them decided to work from home. So, Aiah, the ever so active wife, believes that they are not getting enough physical activity.
They need to make up for all the hours they spent sitting down and facing their computer.
“Staks kasi. Come with me na, please?” Aiah pleaded. What's more pleading is her puppy eyes.
Just know that Stacey is getting the taste of her own medicine. And for some reason, she kinda liked it. This medicine tastes like strawberry. Maybe it's meant for babies.
“Aiah, ayoko nga. Sobrang aga. Ano? Uunahan ko pang gumising ang araw?"
“Staks, eto nanaman tayo sa pagiging unhealthy mo. Halos ‘di na nga tayo tumayo sa upuan buong araw.”
“Ihh, Aiah, no. Gusto mo bang nakikitang nahihirapan ang asawa mo?”
“Ayokong nakikitang may sakit ang asawa ko. So, please, Stacey, takbo na tayo bukas. hmm?”
Damn, Stacey is really liking this strawberry flavoured medicine. She wants more.
Konti pa Aiah, bibigay na s’ya. Konting puppy eyes pa. Konting baby talk pa. Konting pout pa. Konti pa.
Stacey stared at Aiah, trying her best to give her a poker “irritated” face. She shouldn't smile at how cute Aiah is right now. Baka tumugil magpacute ‘to, magwawala si Stacey.
Aiah holds both of Stacey's hands and looks at her with pleading eyes.“Stacey, please. ‘Di ka ba naawa sa asawa mo?”
The strawberry medicine was really meant for babies. Aiah is her baby. 31 na baby pa rin.
Stacey tried her best not to break her expression. She looks away from Aiah. Because another second looking at that face will definitely melt her.
“Ok, pero walk muna.”
“TALAGA?!?”
“AND… let's go ng gabi muna. I can't wake up ng super early pa. Give me some time para makaadjust. Then try natin morning naman.”
Aiah squeals from happiness and hugs Stacey tightly.
“I love you, girl so much, like super!”
“Sis, OA na.”
Aiah might not see how Stacey is smiling from ear to ear, it makes her eyes disappear. But she feels it. How Stacey is willing to adjust her body just so they can have a morning run together.
–
Stacey might be regretting her decision to go with Aiah. They are 5 km in and she is tired. She wants to go home. But Aiah is not done yet.
“Aiah, please, balik na tayo. Mamatay na ata ako. Kung may galit ka sa’kin, sampalin mo nalang ako. Hindi yung ganto.”
“Ang OA, sis.”
“Kala ko ba this is good for your body? Bakit parang ito pa ang dahilan ng pagkasira ko.”
“Oh, shoot. 5 km na pala tayo. Ok balik na tayo, babe.”
Stacey's heart flattered, not by the endearment, but by the hand that found and captured hers.
Kung ganito pumorma si Aiah, baka ito na talaga ang ikamatay n’ya.
She might regret her decision on coming with Aiah tonight. But she will never regret marrying her and walking beside her for the rest of their life.
Is it romantic yet?
They are not sure. But they have forever to figure it out. Tonight, they'll just walk home holding each other's hand.
Maybe it's worth every hurting joints Stacey will have the next morning.
