"Sirius black, yes id go with him"
"I wish Sirius would take me to the Yule Ball"
"All the girls in Gryffindor fangirl over him"

"Hes probably hooked up with nearly all the girls in gryffindor"
"Quiet down everyone, as I said, the Yule Ball is next week. I hope that all the students will enjoy the night very much" Dumbledore's voice boomed across the hall
"Remember, its only fourth year students and above" Minerva McGonagall shouted out as well as everyone started to leave the hall, bellies full
The famous marauders were heading up to the dorm, excited to discuss the Yule Ball. James was the first one to speak as soon as they entered the dorm
"Yule Ball guys, who are you guys going to take"
"You sound like you already have a date" Sirius sarcastically said
"Yeah of course, my precious Lily Evans"
"Who would of guessed"
"Oh shut up moony, who are you going to take anyway"
Well Remus hadn't given it much thought, well he had given it no thought at all. See the person he truly wanted to take was sitting in the very same room as him, he couldn't take him though.
"Oh, I dont know, I haven't thought about it"
"Well what about you wormy"
"Uhm, I was thinking, maybe, Emmeline Vance. I - we - you see we have kinda been going out"
Cheer erupted around the room.
"Heyyy, thata boy, wormy" James went over and patted him on the back
"Okay now you pads, I just know that you have got girls lining up for you"
Sirius just gave a awkward laugh
"I- I don't know, I don't think i'll take anyone" Sirius just shrugged
"What" Both peter and James had looked shocked
"You, Casanova of Gryffindor tower isn't going to take a girl to the ball"
"Sirius are you sick" Peter had asked
"I- don't know yet, i'll find someone I guess"
"Yeah you will"
Remus gave a skeptical look to Sirius
------------------ The Next Morning -----------------------------
The marauders sat down at the Gryffindor table, all the girls batting eyelashes at Sirius did not go unnoticed. James lightly punched him, Sirius just tried to smile and looked down at his food - he didn't feel like eating
"Hey Sirius are you okay" Remus asked the raven haired boy
"yeah, I'm fine"
"Your not eating" Peter said
"Not hungry"
Sirius chanced a glass down the table, yup all the girls were still looking at him. The marauders finished their breakfast and went off to class. As they were walking to class, they overheard a girl in the hall talking about how great Sirius was.
-------------------- That Night ----------------------
Once Remus knew that everyone was asleep, he slowly crept over to Sirius's bed. He pulled open the curtain, and tapped on his shoulder
"Pssstt, Sirius, Im coming in"
"Remus, what are you doing"
"cuddling with you"
"Mmm Okay" Sirius mumbles in delight, he loved Remus's cuddles
"Hey are you okay"
"what of course, well im a little tired but-"
"no, I mean in general, you looked sad today and you didn't eat"
"Im fine"
"Also when that girl in the hall - that I know you heard - said how great you were, you didn't do anything, normally that boosts your ego"
"yeah well, I didn't really care today"
They laid in silence for a while until Remus finally said
"Your not really bisexaul are you"
Sirius tensed but then relaxed a little when he remembered it was only Remus
"What, Of course I am, I'm dating you aren't I"
"You know that's not what I mean"
"mmm"
"Your Gay"
"Yup" Sirius said popping the p
"Jeez, don't sound so ashamed"
"What no, I-Im not ashamed"
"Sirius I was Jo-"
"I'm not ashamed, I love you Remus and I'm not ashamed of you in the slightest"
"Sirius, tell me whats wrong"
Sirius sighed
"Its, ugh, Just everyone in the whole school thinks I'm a ladies man, you saw how they had all acted around me today. I don't want to let anyone down, especially James, he is so pumped now that he's dating Lily, you know, he has been setting me up with girls all week so that eventually we can double date" "I don't want them though, I just want people to stop thinking I'm a ladies man and see that I truly love you Remus, I want everyone to see the hickeys, you give me so they know I'm yours and your mine, and I want to be able to cuddle whenever we want. But, but I don't want to let people down, but I also really don't want people seeing me as a ladies man, I just wanna be Gay, and appreciated"
Sirius was out of breath, Remus slowly hugged him
"I appreciate you, plus I'm sure that James would be happy to double date with you, whether your with a boy or a girl"
"With you, always with you"
Tears were slowly, quietly, sliding down Sirius face
"I don't know what to do Rem"
Remus grabbed Sirius face and looked him in the eye
"Sirius Orion Black, Love of my life, I'm going to tell you right now, If you came out, your not going to be letting anyone down, the girls will not care - and if they do, they can take it up with me - Its not good for you to keep hiding who you truly are if its hurting you."
"You know, your a bit hypocritical"
"Pads what are you going on about"
"You haven't come out yet"
"I-"
"Im joking, I really appreciate what you said"
"Okay, so are you going to come out"
"Im, Im going to think about it"
"Yay, goodnight Sirius"
"Night Remus"
--------------- The Day Of The Yule Ball -------------
Sirius had yet to come out and Remus could see his mental health slowly becoming worse and worse. It was however the day of the Yule Ball and for some reason Sirius mood had completely changed. When he found Remus he ran up to him
"Hey, your not going with anyone to the ball right"
"What, Sirius no, if I can't go with you, im not going with anyone"
"Okay great, I-I have a plan for this afternoon, Im going to come out"
"Oh that's so great, don't worry, the others will accept you, and we won't hesitate to beat anyone up if they be homophobic towards you"
"yeah, yeah, thats great, I have a question"
"Okay shoot"
"Are you ready to come out"
"what - what are you talking about, I mean, I don't know"
"Remus, is it okay if you come out too"
Remus stared into Sirius's eyes and knew everything was going to be alright
"I- Yes, yes I, its okay"
The smile that Sirius had on his face was enough for Remus to declare his love for Sirius to the whole world
"Okay, see you tonight"
And with that Sirius ran off
James, Peter and Remus were at the Yule Ball, Sirius was no where to be seen. James had just said he was probably having a quick make-out session with his date, which Remus responded by wacking him on the arm. A little while passed, James had been with Lily, Peter with Emmeline. Remus was started to feel a little lonely if not worried. At that exact moment the doors to the great hall flew open. In walked Sirius Black in all his glory with his long hair tied up with his wand and some magnificent rainbow eyeshadow, he was also wearing a grey plaid suit with his infamous combat boots. All eyes were on him
He strutted over to Remus, who was star struck by his boyfriends appearance.
"Care to dance with me" Sirius bowed in front of Remus
all Remus could do was breathe a yes. once out on the dance floor, Remus regained his voice
"You, You look - fuck - so amazing"
"Why thanks, but look at you" Sirius laughed
In all honesty Remus didn't feel that he looked nearly as good as Sirius. He was wearing a plain black suit, with a misshapen bowtie and his old doc martens with yellow and orange laces.
"Oh no" Remus smiled and looked down
"You know, it was when you showed up on the train with those docs with mixed up laces that I knew that id fallen hard for you"
"Merlin I love you Sirius Black"
Sirius suddenly became well........serious
"Im going to kiss you after this dance"
"Wha-what"
"If its okay with you, i'm going to kiss you"
"I-, yes, yes kiss me"
The song ended and, all eyes were on Remus and Sirius, they were kissing well making out would be a better word.
Remus and Sirius were in bliss, they were kissing like their lives depending on it, it was full of love and meaning and passion. it was the best kiss ever. As soon as it started though, it ended and Sirius and Remus were faced with most of the great hall.
"Lets go find Pete and James"
"I-ugh, mhm yeah okay" Remus said ever so gracefully
People started to return to what they were doing, some still looking at the two boys and whispering. Let them whisper they thought, they were happy and in love. Once they found the rest of the marauders they were bombarded with questions
"You two are together!?!" James stood there shocked, hand intertwined with lily's
"Yeah, sorry we didn't tell you guys" Remus said
"No its fine" peter squeaked out, his voice a few octaves higher than it should of been
"I so, uhm, your gay"
"Well I'm bisexual and Sirius"
Remus looked at Sirius, words went unspoken between them, yet they knew exactly what each other was thinking
"and I'm gay"
"I never knew, I'm sorry, if I knew I wouldn't of tried to set you up with all those girls"
"No, its fine. I know how much you wanted to double date, can we still be friends though"
"Sirius, what, of course were still friends, why wouldn't we, you being gay doesn't change a thing. We can still double date"
"Told you so"
"Oh shut up moony" Sirius kissed Remus on the cheek
"Your okay with this pete" Remus looked at the smallest of the gang
"Yeah, yeah for sure, just surprised is all"
they all laughed
"I fucking knew it" Lily cheered
"and you didn't tell me" James pouted
that made them burst into another fit of laughter
From then on everyone at Hogwarts knew that Sirius liked men and that he and Remus were madly in love with each other.
