Rosmerta was used to Molly coming to the Three Broomsticks late.
She was used to Molly being the last one there.
Tonight, Molly hadn't ordered as many drinks as she normally did. In fact, she had only ordered one drink.
"Would you like another?" Rosmerta had asked once Molly finished her drink.
Molly shook her head.
"Is something wrong," Rosmerta asks, worried.
She was always worried for Molly. She had been worried about the woman ever since she started coming here.
"No," Molly answers. She looks into Rosmerta's eyes, and for the first time, Rosmerta can see a hint of happiness. "I actually wanted to thank you."
"For what?" Rosmerta asks, a little confused.
"For letting me come here every night and stay here when needed. It has been hard for me ever since...Fred died, and you have a big help."
Molly smiles at her.
Before Rosmerta can even respond, she feels her lips being taken.
Molly is kissing her.
Molly, a married woman is kissing her.
She doesn't push her away.
Instead, Rosmerta closes her eyes and enjoys the kiss.
When the kiss ends, Molly is still smiling.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome," Rosmerta says. "I'll always be here for you."
