Chapter 10
Harrison was eating breakfast with the rest of the Weasleys when there was a loud crack! from outside, followed by a knock on the door. Fred and George bolted out of the kitchen, shouting in unison, "We've got it, Mum!"
Hermione cast Harrison an exasperated look. Harrison grinned innocently.
"You really shouldn't have introduced Fred and George to the Marauders," Hermione scolded, over snickers from Ron and Ginny.
"Snicker, Cackle!" Sirius' voice exclaimed gleefully. Hermione slapped a hand to her forehead, and Harrison smirked.
"What'd you call Fred 'n George?" Ron asked when Sirius and Remus entered the kitchen.
"Snicker and Cackle, our Marauder Junior names," Fred answered.
"Based off of our Animagus forms: hyenas," George added.
"Suits you," Ginny said with an eyeroll.
"How come I haven't got a Marauder Junior name yet?" Harrison asked mock indignantly, getting up to hug Sirius.
"You don't know your Animagus form yet, pup," Sirius grinned, ruffling his hair. Harrison hissed and swatted at him, and his godfather laughed, dodging easily.
Remus sighed and shared a look of exasperation with Hermione.
"What's Marauder Junior?" Ron asked.
"Our apprentices of sorts," Sirius said brightly. "You have to have an An-"
"No, you don't," Remus interjected. "You need to have an animal form, yes, but it doesn't necessarily need to be an Animagus form."
"'Cause Moony's a fluffy monthly man?" Fred asked innocently. Remus shot a Stinging Hex at him, and Fred ducked. Harrison, Sirius, Ron, and Ginny snickered.
"Cub, are you packed?" Remus asked, turning to Harrison.
"Yes, my trunk is upstairs in Ron's room," Harrison answered, hugging the werewolf, too. "Where are we going to live? Black Manor?"
"Yes, but we're not going there quite yet," Remus said.
"Where are we going?"
"Paris!" Sirius exclaimed. Harrison lit up, and Ron looked jealous.
Remus groaned. "Sirius, it was supposed to be a surprise."
"But he is surprised!"
Harrison snorted. "Why are we going to Paris?"
"A get-to-know-you vacation," Remus explained, shooting Sirius a glare. Sirius pouted. "Just us three. We'll finish the day before you need to head to Hogwarts."
"You'd better-"
"-send us a-"
"-postcard, Harrigay."
"I'll be sending you presents, actually," Harrison said dryly. "For my family."
He hugged the Weasleys and Hermione, ignoring their suddenly teary-eyed looks. (Fred's and George's were semi-dramatic.)
Sirius gave a theatrical sob. "You're so sweet, pup."
"Thanks, Uncle Mutt," Harrison drawled, making the Weasleys and Remus burst out laughing.
"Hey!"
-------
The three of them had a wonderful time in Paris. Along with the presents for Fred, George, Ron, Ginny, and Hermione, he also bought more clothes for his wardrobe, books, and a gorgeous midnight blue python that he named Noctis.
For the twins he got a couple of joke books, two plushies (a banana and a cow), and cookies that would change the color of your hair.
For Ron, he got a new, unbreakable chess set and a miniature Quidditch pitch -- complete with tiny teams, brooms, and balls.
For Ginny, he bought a Nimbus 2000 and a dark ruby dress.
For Hermione he bought (obviously) books. Most of them were about famous Parisan wizards, but he also got a book on cats.
He also got gifts for Neville, Charlie, and Bill.
Neville received a couple of rare, magical plants that Harrison couldn't even begin to pronounce and a book on magical water plants.
Charlie received a book on dragons and a dragon pendant.
Harrison wasn't sure what Bill liked, so he just got him pastries and chocolates from magical Paris.
(He also bought Snape several rare potions ingredients, but he sent them anonymously.)
And as a joke, he bought Mr. Weasley a giant rubber duck.
