Marauders Sirius x Non-Binary Reader
It had been a long day. All of your teachers having misgendered you took out all your energy. At this point you felt like a zombie. You started walking towards (H/N) commons when two slytherin boys grabbed you by your waist. You tried to get out of their grip but they wouldn't let go. You struggled and called out for help but nobody came. The two boys covered your mouth and one whispered in your ear "You just need to be shown how good being a girl can be." You struggled and ripped their hands off of you "I am not a girl!" you tried running but they just kept grabbing you. One pinned you to the wall while the other started running his hands down your body. You closed your eyes fearing what would happen next until you heard the thud of a fist colliding with flesh. You mentally thanked whoever your savoir was and once your hands were free you ran. You didn't want to get on the bad side of whoever had defended you until you heard the person speak "(Y/N)!" Your heart fluttered at the sound of your best friend's voice "Sirius!" You turned around and hot tears pooled in your eyes. He ran up to you and hugged you, a sheet of paper ruffling in his hands, something you knew to be the marauders map. You sobbed into his chest, the scent of firewhisky, cigarette smoke, and wood filling your head and all of your troubles flowing out. Sirius flinched and pet your head "Hey, hey, what happened? What's wrong?" you looked up at him and just burst into harder sobs. He moved your head back into his chest "Let it all out (Y/N), let it out" You grabbed onto his shirt and just kept crying. The animagius held you close and put his head on yours. He hummed softly and closed his eyes. He knew how much you had to deal with as the only Non-Binary person in Hogwarts. He knew how you felt, he himself was questioning his sexuality and knew how frightful it is to feel like everyone's eyes were on you. He pushed a brick which opened a secret passage. He led you through this passage and sat down knowing you weren't going to be able to stand pretty soon. Once you started hyperventilating he made you look at him and started helping you with your breathing. "C'mon (Y/N), listen to me. In 2 3 4." You followed his breathing "Out 2 3 4." Once you were able to breathe normally again you went right back to crying as all the memories of the day had scarred you. He held you close and smiled "You know, you gotta stop crying soon or else I won't know how to help you anymore." You laughed softly and wiped your tears. He moved you onto his lap while smirking "Alright, now tell me who I need to beat up." You looked down and put you head in his chest "It's all the teachers. They don't understand that I don't use she or he pronouns. They don't even use my correct name!" you sigh "And to make it worse, boys keep trying to convince me that I am a girl by groping me and trying to kiss me..." You could hear Sirius growl "You're not a girl. Those prudes don't know what they are talking about. I've got you, no one can hurt you while I'm here. Why don't you sit with James Remus and I during dinner? Alright?" You nod slowly, you would never turn down an invitation from you best friend. And better yet, he was going to be the one protecting you. Your heart started to race and you felt your face heat up. You pushed your head into Sirius' chest, you could hear his heartbeat rise. The scent of him distracted you for quite a while until you remembered that dinner was happening in the great hall. You hopped out of Sirius' arms, reminding him about dinner. "Oh shoot! Hurry!" The two of you ran out of the secret alcove and down the long hallway towards the great hall. Instead of sitting at your usual place with your (H/N) friends you sat next to the marauders. Sirius seemed to look mad at Peter, he never really liked the kid but that was no reason to be rude to the poor boy. You flashed him a sorry smile and sat next to the black haired animagus. You only grabbed what you felt you could eat after the panic attack but Sirius didn't let you go hungry. He grabbed extra of your favorite food and put it on your plate. James smugly looked at Sirius "So, why are you late mate. You going to give us the juicy story?" You looked down to hide your face and Sirius sighed "Later James." You tapped Sirius' shoulder "It's ok. You can tell him now." Sirius nodded and recounted the events to his friends. They were all pissed and glaring daggers at the Slytherin table. You tried to stop them before anyone saw but Snape and Lucius had seen, it was too late. you held onto Sirius' arm shaking as the two came over to the table. He pulled you close, the two boys noticing immediately. They laughed and Lucius grabbed Sirius by his shoulder length hair, no sound escaping from his lips. He glared at Lucius while Snape pulled you away from your best friend. "I see you and the freak are dating now." This made your face flush red "But I bet we can show her an even better time." James stood up "Oi! They're not a girl!" Remus was behind Lucius and removed his hand from Sirius' hair "And you have no right to treat our friends like this." Remus was glaring daggers while James and Peter were shocked that their normally calm companion had gone mad. Sirius pulled you close and put your head in his chest "I'm ok, it didn't hurt," he whispered "Let James and Remus deal with those two." the alluring and calming scent of your best friend freed any stress you were holding and your body began to relax. "That's a good pup." He whispered as you heard the sound of fighting. You closed your eyes listening to the fighting until you hear Dumbledore step in breaking up what was happening. You, the marauders, Snape and Lucius were all ushered to Dumbledore's office to get to the bottom of what had been happening. Dumbledore interviewed you and Sirius first as you two were the ones who were being messed with. You were practically clinging to Sirius' side like a Devils Claws seed pod. Dumbledore listened to Sirius as he explained all the harassment that had been happening towards you as well as the misgendering and the Slytherins that groped you. Dumbledore seemed very displeased which made Sirius and you nervous. Neither of you knew what was going to happen and Dumbledore dismissed you two. You both walked around the castle, you holding onto his arm looking around nervously and him allowing you to hold onto him. Eventually you two made it to the (H/N) commons and you looked up at Sirius. He looked conflicted and upset so you hugged him. "What is in your mind?" Sirius pet your head "I feel so bad that I can't protect you all the time. You mean so much to me and I wouldn't know what I would do if you kept getting hurt." You blushed slightly and looked up at him "What do you mean that I mean a lot to you." Sirius' face went red and he rubbed the back of his head looking away "Well... You're one of my best friends." You rolled your eyes and grabbed his face. Sirius' face went even redder "Wh-What are you doing (Y/N)?" You kissed his forehead and he smirked "You missed." Your face went bright red and Sirius kissed you happily. You held his hands and he broke the kiss "Can I please be your boyfriend (Y/N)? I promise you I will always be by your side." You hugged him and nodded "Please, please don't let this be a dream." You mumbled and he laughed "Oh pup, this isn't a dream. At least, I don't think so." The two of you look into each other's eyes and break out into infectious laughter. You kissed Sirius one last time and made your way into the (H/N) dorms where your friends were waiting for you with wide smiles.
