Summary
I was inspired to write this when I read Choices by messermoon. Also by Taylor Swift <3James had always thought that Regulus was a coward. He always thought that Regulus should have left with Sirius, and he decided to never forgive him. That idea was quickly forgotten when James started to fall in love with Regulus Black.Regulus always knew that James had a savior complex. He just didn't think James would ever care to save him.Updates will begin shortly.

Chapter 1

Hello! I will be posting the first chapter by mid-June. Please be patient with me. Here is a very short preview of the first chapter.
James Potter
Of course, he would be here. Regulus had been having a stressful day and decided that flying would help him relax. He quickly scrapped that idea once he saw James, as nothing good could come of spending any amount of time with him. He decided to walk away and find a different place to spend his time, one far away from James Potter.
It seemed that lady luck was not on Regulus’s side today, as he heard someone calling out to him soon after he had begun to walk away.
“Hey! Wait, hang on a minute.”
Regulus had no choice but to stop walking and turn toward the voice. Unsurprisingly, it was James. By the time he had turned James had already flown down and was dismounting from his broom.
“Did you want to fly? I was just about to leave.”
James finally took a closer look at Regulus, seeing his Slytherin robes before finally looking up at his face. Oh. That was why James was being nice. He didn’t know that it was Regulus.
Regulus studied James for a moment before he spoke. “I was planning to, but I suddenly feel that I would much rather be anywhere else. Goodbye.” Regulus turned and started to walk away as swiftly as he could manage without actually running.
“Wait! Stop running from me Black!” He could hear James’ footsteps as he trailed him.
Regulus stayed quiet as he continued on the path back to the castle, hoping that he could somehow get to his common room without having to speak with James. It might have worked if Regulus hadn’t forgotten a crucial detail. James happened to be quite a bit taller than him, and by extension, faster.
James grabbed Regulus’s shoulder to slow him down, panting from the exertion. “Regulus. Can we please talk for just a moment?”
