Here’s another what-if prompt that could bring our two ladies back together:
What if Ava gets hurt not long after the two part ways?
Kiki is the first to realize what’s happened and gets word to Deb.
At first, Ava is confused as to why Deb would even come, because she’s still hurt from everything at the end of season 2 (especially once the case is dropped) and feels as if Deb really never cared for her.
There is no way that Deborah Vance will leave her this time though. She’s already suffered from letting Ava go, is terrified because Ava almost died, and is ashamed that her actions have made Ava feel as if she is unimportant.
