"Well first and foremost, welcome to the show, Puddlemore United!" Rita Skeeter greeted each of them with a handshake, weirdly holding onto James' hand longer than necessary.
"It's great to be here, Ms. Skeeter" James smiled, as captain he assumed the role of the main speaker. "I have a question specifically for the two Black family children here, Regulus and Sirius Black?" She eyed the two boys, Sirius glared at her, Regulus had a blank stare.
"I've just wondered, I went to school with Bellatrix Black Lestrange, your cousin, I presume?" Regulus nodded. "I can't help but think that Quidditch playing runs in the family! Bellatrix was a lovely player in school" She smiled, her all-too-white teeth showing. Sirius scoffed.
He remembered Bellatrix in her 7th year when he'd started his first, she was the reason his mother knew about him being in Gryffindor by the next morning. She was most definitely not a lovely Quidditch player, she cheated her arse off if it meant Slytherin secured the win, she stoops as low as tricking Slughorn into rigging the match by threatening him with the family name.
Rita blew of his way of expressing his anger, and went on talking.
"Now, from what I've heard from rumors, quite a few members of the team are in a very odd type of relationship, I can never think of the label..." she trailed off, expecting someone to fill her in, but when she was met with silence, she cleared her throat to continue. "Polyamory, I believe, is a type of relationship in which more than two people are dating, no?"
"it's a bit more complicated than that, Ms. Skeeter, but that's the basics of it. For example, a person can be dating two people, but those two people might not be dating eachother, but as long as it is consensual, it is Polyamory-" Pandora happily explained to the interviewer, who was exaggeratingly nodding along, though she clearly didnt care. Pandora had been cut off by one of her partners, Evan Rosier, because they had noticed, they whispered something in her ear and she went quiet.
"But, Ms. Lovegood, isn't that just cheating?"
And there was the question that set most of them off.
"Excuse me, Rita, if I may interrupt. It is not cheating, if you were listening to Dora at all you would understand that." Barty huffed out, rolling his eyes childishly. Regulus giggled at his friend, and full on laughed when he looked at Skeeter's face.
"Something funny, Mr. Black?" She asked curtly, Regulus stopped laughing and cleared his throat. This only made Sirius' glare sharper, he hadn't released said glare since Rita gave herself permission to hold James' hand without said boy's consent.
"Anyways, Mr. Potter, you are in a relationship of this sort, correct?"
James was taken back to reality when he heard his family name, looking blank eyed as he nodded at the interviewer.
"Lovely, so, and be completely honest, isn't it just a sex thing?" she asked, a snide smiled on her face as she raised an eyebrow.
James' eyebrows furrowed as his face deepened to a dark red color. Now, James could defend himself. He would have if he weren't on national television with huge stage freight. But he was on national television, and he did have huge stage freight. Luckily, Sirius had no sense of shame when it came to anything. So when Skeeter asked this question, Sirius was practically fuming.
"That is an incredibly inappropriate question to ask a man two years fresh out of Hogwarts at the age of 19, I know you might have no fucking concept of a moral compass considering you were friends with my eldest cousin, but come to fuck on, even Bellatrix wouldn't ask a question like that." Sirius had thought he thought that, but judging by everyone's surprised looks, he knew he'd said it out loud, though he didn't regret it at all.
James was starring wide-eyed at his friend, he'd zoned out so much that he didn't even remember the question, just that Regulus locked hands with him after it was asked.
Rita cleared her throat, checking her notes, "Okay, final question, this is for Ms. Mckinnon" Marlene smiled sarcastically at the woman, clearly done with this bullshit.
"You are dating Dorcas Meadowes and Mary MacDonald, yes?"
Marlene nodded slowly.
"Mhm, so who would be your favorite out of the two?"
"Don't have one, that's a stupid question, Mary and Dorcas both mean the world to me"
Rita groaned, looking to Pandora, who she assumed to be the most blunt out of the group.
"Ms. Lovegood, out of your three boyfriends-"
Pandora interrupted before she could finish, "Evan isn't my boyfriend, Ms. Skeeter, they're nonbinary, making them my partner"
"Right, er- Out of your two boyfriends and one partner, who is your favorite, or rather, whose the best in bed?" she wiggled her eyebrows.
"I don't have a favorite, Miss. I can't answer the last question because they're all amazing, but I suppose Barty has more experience?" Pandora answered in a questioning tone.
Skeeter sighed. "Alright, well we should be done here, thank you for coming on the show" she said in a drained tone.
The team rushed out, Sirius and Marlene snickering about Rita's voice as they left.
