Chapter 1
Nothing in Regulus' life was ever the same after Sirius left. They were beaten more often, spent most every night with Barty or Evan, and developed a bad case of anorexia. However, even with all of this, they weren't prepared for what happened at their seventh year graduation...
"REG!" James yelled running their way. Regulus was in a cap and gown chilling before the event with a couple of their friends. The gown sucked. They didn't mind most of the muggle traditions that had seeped into wix culture but, Merlin, that gown should be illegal. James surprised them with a tackle hug as curious gossips looked on.
"Potter?" They questioned. They looked up to see Pandora and Antlia holding back barely concealed laughter while Evan and Barty looked like they wanted to shoot him. James finally let go.
"Sorry, I just really wanted to see you. I need to tell you something. Can we go somewhere more private?" James said.
"Hi, how are you, who are these people, all perfectly acceptable greetings yet you choose none of them." Regulus said. James flinched slightly. "For your information, the pretty blonde is Pandora; the beautiful brunette is Antlia; the other two are Barty and Evan."
"Ouch." Evan said, lightly shoving his shoulder.
"What did you want to speak to me about?" Regulus asked.
"It's kinda personal." James replied.
"Anything you say to me can be said in front of them." They said.
"Okay, well... Lily and I broke up, you know, the redhead."
"I am aware that she is now dating Cissy and Luc, yes."
"Well... I wanted to ask... Will you go out with me?" Regulus raised an eyebrow.
"Why would I go out with you?"
"Because I like you and I want to get to know you. We don't have to date or anything, it's just dinner." James said bashfully. Regulus looked above his head to see their parents approaching.
"Run, now. Dinner at seven. With Barty and Ev. Meet in Godric's Hollow, near the cemetery." Regulus then shoved James into the crowd right before their parents and their friends' parents arrived.
"Loved the flipping off the headmaster after you grabbed the diploma, Reggie." Evan said laughing.
"Hey, you tripped and face-planted onto Slughorn's shoes." Regulus shot back.
"Ladies, ladies, you both angered your parents an extreme amount during the ceremony." Barty said as they came up to the cemetery.
"Hey, Potter."
"James, please. Hi Reg, Evan." He said.
"Hey, Jimmie." Regulus said.
"Howdy, Jimothy!" Evan said smirking. "How's the sandwich bar down the way sound?"
"Like heaven in hell." Barty answered. Evan grabbed his and Regulus' hand and they grabbed James'. Evan dragged them to a sandwich shop a couple blocks away. They grabbed a table and Regulus dragged James to go order food.
"So Ev and Barty both want the club... Hey, wanna split the Veggie?" Regulus asked.
"S-Sure." James said blushing bright red. They brought the food over to the others and dived in.
