Izuku the Primal
So I wanna establish a couple of things before I start so this all makes a little more sense.
Izuku doesn’t have a Quirk per say in this story. Instead he has the souls of the primal all floating around in his head. And if someone died with a primal possessing them (looking at you Lady Ice heart and Yotsuyu) then their spirit will be that of the summon they once were. Not including that Pope dude because he came out of the form and he didn’t create the knights of the round but used Nidhogg’s energy to maintain the form. He deserves no respect! And because they manage to make me weep for them off and on for two months, I’m throwing in Omega as well.
The primals don’t have their hunger for Aether anymore because Mages went extinct many eras ago. Not enough pull on the Earth’s Aether, so the primals can feed to their hearts content. This however creates an influx of the elements on earth, which manifests in Quirks.
A young five year old ran through the forest, weeping as he fled his home. Earlier that week he had gone to an appointment with a Quirk Specialist… and… and…
“I’m Useless!” He cried out, remembering that look of heartbreak his mother had. How his father had fled with his mistress to America… how Bakugo had bullied him relentlessly… his teachers looked upon him with scorn and his classmates had looks of hatred.
Then last night his mother… she drank a strange golden liquid and began talking candidly about how her former friends and neighbors treated her. How useless she thought Izuku was…
He couldn’t handle it anymore…
So he ran into the nearby forest, wailing his pain and sorrow to he trees and air. To the earth and stream…To the half moon glowing above and the stars that filled the sky. He spoke of all the hate and pain, all the looks and silent scorn, all the neglect and want for a mother.
And someone answered.
“Why do you call out so little one?” a soothing motherly voice asked. It was one that felt familiar despite never having heard it in his life. She sounded warm and welcoming in a way only a mother could.
“Wh-Who are you?” He asked, looking around. His sight faded to black and soon he was met with a truly magnificent crystal. It towered as high as a skyscraper and was as wide at its widest point. Around it floated many many smaller crystals all lit up with the same blue glow as the main crystal. The crystal floated closer and he could feel it radiating the comforting warmth of home.
“I am Hydalyn, the all Made One. And you my child, called out to me,” she said in that soothing voice.
“I-I called out,” the boy said softly, “to you?”
“Yes my child,” she said, “What ails you so?”
Izuku looked up at her, and soon was bawling as he told her his life’s story. Words tumbled out of his lips before he could think about what he was saying. All throughout it, he could feel the grand crystal listening to him patiently. And by the end he was a blubbering mess of sorrow…
That’s when he felt arms wrapping around him… two sets, and looking to his left and right he saw a pair of twins. Both had Snow White skin with a metallic sheen, white hair, and smooth flawless skin. The woman was shorter, lean like a dancer, and had Apple red eyes, while the male was taller, bulkier like he spent years training to be a swordsman and blue eyes like a calm sea on a sunny day.
“This one, amongst many others, shall guide you and stay by your side on your journey,” Hydaelyn said.
Izuku looked up at her, “what?” He asked.
“You have a grand destiny ahead, do not falter,” Hydaelyn said as she slowly faded away.
“NO! PLEASE NO!” Izuku called out, crying anew as the feeling of being embraced faded away. He didn’t want to loose this one good thing in his life so quickly!
“May you walk ever in my light,” Hydaelyn said as she faded away completely.
“We Remain With You,” he heard an androgynous voice say from within his own head. The voice sounded two toned as if two people were speaking at the exact same time.
“This is rather new,” another voice, this time feminine and haughty said. He could hear the sound of clicking like a beak after every syllable.
“I had hoped I’d never be near you once more Bird Bitch,” another voice growled, this one dark and masculine. It reminded him of that dog cop he met once with the growling undertones.
“Do try to calm yourselves? Our Gracious Mother has granted us a chance at redemption in the form of this child,” a much older sounder voice spoke up. This one sounded like a wide old grandfather, caring but also calculating.
“Ah yes, the storm bringer. Here to turn me mad once more?” This voice sounded like that Fish Rescue type hero he saw on the news recently. It was deeper though like a predator, and had a bubbly echo to it.
“Why must you all Fight when we have a child to tend to?” Another voice asked, this one was female and sounded like she had a superiority complex… but at the same time she sounded… caring… like she couldn’t stand to see a child cry alone. Someone who cared for what she deems hers…
“Fight later~ fight never~ let us have fun!~” another voice, this one like a child. He couldn’t tell what gender this one was either, but their voice was soft like cotton and had a playful air to it.
“Who are all of you?” Izuku asked.
“We are ancient beings,” a new voice, this one dark and deep. It silenced the others who knew not to test this great beast. “We have many names, primals… Summons… Gods… It matters not what you call us. We were placed here by the great mother. You who know much sorrow… we are now the source of your power. Use us well, for we may deny you if we so desire…” and with that he fell silent.
All the voices were quiet as Izuku collected himself, “P-Power? D-Does that… does that mean… I… I can be a hero?” Izuku asked hopefully.
“Please find somewhere warm child?” A new voice, this one caring and strong. She held a motherly warmth to her words yet he could tell she could turn cold as ice if needed. Like his School Councilor but… nicer…
He shivered from the cold and walked home slowly.
“Focus on a fire, feel it in your bones, let it flow through you~” the dog like growling voice instructed, “I shall lend you my blessing until you are home.”
Izuku was startled by his voice, but did as instructed. His hair turned black with red tips and his eyes like a blazing fire. Warmth filled him as if he were right next to a blazing fire. His eyes widened in awe as he looked at himself, trying to see if there was anything different about himself… and indeed there was. He had grown a small fluffy dog tail that matched his hair. His nails had grown into claws and amongst his fluffy hair was a set of horns like a demon.
He hurried home, and when he was inside the fire left him. He went back to his normal look and no longer felt heat welling up from within.
He pouted, but hoped the voice would let him call upon its power again.
He went to sleep in his bed, nuzzling the pillows…
And in his dreams…
He saw each of the primals…
talked to them, experienced their magic.
Omega decided to see what would happen if Izuku always had their energy on. An experiment to state their curiosity.
In the morning Izuku had to call upon Omega manually, and felt their otherworldly power flowing through him. Felt as the energy filled him and his hair turned stark white. His eyes stung as they shifted color, one the sky blue of Omega M, and the other the Apple red of Omega F.
His mother was startled when he came to the living room for breakfast looking so different. “H-Hey mama… I… I have a Quirk…” he said, looking oh so hopeful.
Inko dropped the plate she was holding and ran over, hugging Izuku tightly. She openly wept as she apologized for what she had said last night and how worried she was when she found he wasn’t in his bed last night. The spirits within him coiled, and he could hear several of them calling her a liar. He didn’t comment though, instead hugging her back and weeping as well. He finally had a quirk! He could finally be a hero!
Over the years, Izuku had changed a lot. Their continued connection to Omega had turned their skin white and their body was more malleable for the energies of the other spirits. They had taken to gender neutral pronouns since they changed gender for the different forms and their base Omega form was neutral. They found it harder to stay out of Omega form than to maintain it all things considered. They had grown up lean but strong, training every day down at Dagoba beach. Cleaning up the debris was Leviathan’s idea, being the Sea Serpent he was, the aquatic dragon hated seeing Beaches contaminated with trash. New trash washed up often, only to be taken care of by the young primal in training.
Each of their powers were very different, but they struggled to master them one at a time. They only had Omega, Ifrit, Shiva and Garuda’s mastered so far, but they knew the basics of the others. It took them over a year to even learn the basics of one, so 11 years was a pretty good amount of time to master 4.
Today though, they were excited. On the way to school they has stopped to watch a hero fight, and took notes on their home made tablet. It was made in the style of Omega’s tech and connected to their own mind, making notes all the easier to memorize. Their mind was a CPU and this tablet was one facet of the abilities Omega granted them. They grinned eagerly as they muttered, “power level adequate, according to Kamui Wood’s usual pattern, he should be using his Lacquered Chain Prison right about now,” they said, eyes like camera shutter lenses focusing intently on Kamui.
“You must be one heck of a kid to tell all that!” A guy next to Izuku said, laughing merrily as he watched Izuku analyze.
Izuku looked to him and grinned, “I hope to help heroes some day!~”
“Help huh? Don’t wanna be one yourself?” The man asked.
“There’s a lot of heroes in this world… what we need are people willing to help Heroes become better,” Izuku hummed, grinning brightly, “people who can support Heroes and coordinate them expertly.”
The man snorted, “if you think so,” he then went back to watching the fight.
