Chapter 4
Mamma:
Hogwarts is absolutely mozzafiato , there is much to explore and the people here are fascinating to watch. Dumbledore seems to be as daft as they rumor - at the very least regarding his choice of DADA professors, seeing as Professor Quirrell went missing and Mister P (as he so insistanly asks us to call him because “I am no professor, I am a Healer and only a healer.”) applied to be the assistant healer for the hospital wing. Furthermore, He seems to completely underestimate the lion’s stupidly overwelming cravings of all things ‘adventurous’. At the beginning of the feast, he announced that “the third-floor corridor on the right-hand side is out of bounds to everyone who does not wish to die a very painful death.” - which is obviously an open invite for all lions to go and investegate.
The lessons are interesting, though we share a majority of lessons with the Gryffindors. Weasley seems to have taken Harrison’s sorting into Slytherin as a personal offense and now takes every chance he gets to voice his supposed displeasure. Harrison - l'angolo di Slytherin, as Pansy has dubbed her, tends to just completely ignore his tantrums.
Harrison Potter is the most beautiful and odd girl I have ever had the pleasure of meeting mamma. Her eyes are a stunning Avada green - they glow when she’s angry at something, absolutely fascinating! Draco seems to be under the impression that he is the only one noticing Harrison, though everyone notices Harrison Potter and her particular habits.
She wears purple hyacinths in her hair every friday, I did a little research and found this:
Hyacinth Flowers
The Hyacinth Flower, also known as the Hyacinthus, is often associated with rebirth and the Greek god Apollo. Hyacinthus is used for everything from chasing away bad dreams to granting wishes. Ruled by the planet Venus, it lends a special blessing of love and joy to your magicks. Its element is water and they bloom in a gorgeous array of colors.
Each color of the Hyacinthus symbolizes a different meaning when it comes to the Language of Flowers (for further detail, see Page 26 in ‘The Magical Meaning of Flowers and Herbs’)
- Hyacinth, Purple: Purple Hyacinths symbolize sorrow, regret and forgiveness
It does make me wonder if the flowers are intentional.
Harrison plays lovely songs on the piano in the common room madre - though not as lovely as the songs you play - perhaps I should send you a recording the next time she plays. Harrison is also a wonderful dancer, the girls in our year were asked to spot her during her ballet practice several times - Daphne was positively swooned by her grace (her words)
Mi dispiace davvero di non aver potuto scrivere in modo più dettagliato prima della mamma, il castello mi ha semplicemente travolto nel suo meraviglioso caos e nella sua bellezza. (I am really sorry I could not write in more detail earlier mother, the castle simply swept me up in its wonderful chaos and beauty.)
Love,
Blaise
