Chapter 7
Summer started on a horrible note, Elly hardly left her room. The house elf’s brought food into her room, her godmother tried to get her to talk but nothing. Through Narcissa they were told what happened, they gave her the first week to herself.
After the week was passed Celeste still would not leave her room, there was only one person who could get her out of there. Her godfather. Since his rebirth Tom Riddle, has noticed all the mistake he made in the past. He would take the political approach this time, claiming to be his own grandson. Knocking on his goddaughter’s door took a deep breath, he did not get on answer. Using his magic, he made his way inside.
Elly was laying on her bed, red eyes, and wet cheeks. “When I returned, I thought, I would get a warm welcoming from my goddaughter. Instead, I hear that she will not leave her room or talk so someone” spoke the dark-haired Men. The girl focused her blue eyes on him, she shoots out of bed hugging Tom. Silently she began to cry, “I missed you” came the muffled sound. “I missed you to little snake,” laughed Tom. Even a dark lord has people that he loves.
They remained in that position for a few minutes. “Now tell me what happened” demanded Tom. The two seated themselves, Celeste begins telling him how she met Claire, dear dates and how they became a couple. Yes, she was telling him about the breakup she could not hold the tears back anymore, letting them stream down her cheeks. “Love is a dangerous thing darling, when you give someone your heart it's like making a deal with the devil” advised her godfather.
“No matter what you must get out of this room, you cannot stay in here forever. Beside that you are now sixteen you will be taking over as the head of your house. I also heard some whispers about a marriage contract” smirked Tom walking out of the room. “Oh, and Bellatrix is back from Azkaban” he called over his shoulder closing the door. Bellatrix is back.
Celeste got out of bed, took a shower, and dressed herself in appropriate robes. she rushed downstairs where everyone was seated, among them was seated a beautiful woman with deep brown eyes and black curls falling down her back. “This is Bellatrix darling” spoke her godmother. Celeste politely nodded her head at the woman.
“The Ball will be hold next Friday” informed Arcturus. “Ok, I already have my dress and the ring was delivered” spoke Elly. Her heard was beating in her chest and she felt her cheeks turning pink. Bellatrix had to be the most beautiful woman she has ever seen. You would never guess that she spends so much time in prison. “Is it true that dear has been whispers about a marriage contract” asked Celeste. “Where did you hear that” reply Melania. Celeste looked at her godfather who was smirking in response. “Is it true or not” demanded Celeste. “They aren’t falls” acknowledged Pollux.
“With whom” demanded girl. “You will know soon” was all off the answer she got. Knowing bet, she did not get more information she dropped the matter.

A week later the ball was scheduled. It was tradition to celebrate the new head of a family with a grand ball. Celeste was dressed in dark blue robes, her family colour. her hair was up with a beautiful headpiece that matched her jewellery. as she walked down the stairs into the ballroom, she was greeted with thousands of eyes on her. She knew that it would happen like that it was a ball in her honour. Every witch and wizard that was of importance was there tonight.
As she reached the Arcturus and Cassiopeia, her uncle started his speech. “We are overjoyed that our ward Celeste Antoinette Peverell, has reached the age of 16 she will be from tonight on the head of the most ancient and noble house of Peverell.” The crowed started clapping, after it quite down Cassiopeia spoke “We are also pleased to inform that a courtship was arranged between my goddaughter Celeste and my niece Bellatrix Black.” Celeste was equally shocked; a courtship was like dating. The two would go on outings and dates to get to know each other, they could decide later if they enter a marriage contract or not. It also meant that they could court other people on the side.
Bellatrix went to stand beside Celeste, giving her a reassuring smile. The two opened the ball with a dance. “I guess they didn’t tell you anything” asked Bella. “I knew that they would decide, in the end only their opinions matter” replied Celeste. “I guess so” agreed Bella. After she danced with her uncles and godfather. As she was talking with Tom the Minister approached. “Lady Peverell what a delightful ball,” said the old man. “Thank you, Minister,” Celeste smiled politely “May I introduce my godfather Lord Thomas Marvolo Slytherin.” “I thought the Slytherin line died out” mumbled Fudge. “My grandfather’s mother was Merope Gaunt, she died while giving birth and the father was a pureblood from Europe” explained Tom.
“Quite interesting, I have to go” excused the minister.

Celeste spends a lot of summer with Bellatrix and her godfather. at the end of the summer, of Wizengamot emergency meeting was called. Turns out that Potter used magic in front of muggles, now he was facing expulsion from Hogwarts. the meeting was cold to decide what would happen to him. Now that she was head of the house, she was allowed to join those meeting and claim her seats. Dumbledore open to meeting as always knew seats could be claimed, Celeste claimed her seats as well as Thomas did. “This littering line died out decades ago” tried dumbledore to object. “With all due respect Lord Slytherin has claimed his lordship and has the ring to prove. it if he would not have Slytherin blood run through his vein would have died” spoke to minister.
to meeting continued, hour in Potter made his entrance. the case was stated and clearly, dear was new reason which would save him from expulsion. As the verdict was told, Potter screamed aloud that he only did it because of the dementors. Which could not have been the case, dementors were under the control of the ministry and never left Azkaban. Some believed him after a squib was brought up as a witness, however it was common knowledge that's squibs were not able to see the dark creatures as well as muggles. As it came to vote it was a close result. So, potter was not expelled.
