Out of This World
Begin with one alien renegade scientist with a passion for genetic tweaking and a disregard for intergalactic law, add the ring of intergalactic smugglers said scientist worked with to ‘test’ his creations/ recreations in illegal fighting rings, add a fresh from the fight, recently kidnapped underground Pro Hero and a couple of civilian kids and a Nomu, two Villains and Japan in Chaos and stir well…
Shouta is snatched during a Nomu attack. The League combined with the MLF and the Doctor are raging across Japan. His students have held up well and so has U.A. but the cities are rubbled. Heroes patrol to find survivors and invite them into the safe zones but there are always those who fall through the cracks.
Aizawa had just taken down one Nomu protecting the pair of younlings (somewhere between kid to teen) and the injured adult when all four of them were knocked out.
Aizawa woke in a pod. He felt… better than he ever had actually. He’d taken a LOT of damage over the years, including his eyes and one leg. A leg that twitched it’s toes. That was enough to have him jolting.
He forced himself to calm down and look around. There were several other pods. The younglings were in them along with the injured adult. Two held beings he had NO idea what they were. Another two were empty.
The last… held the Nomu that he hadn’t gotten to yet. It was… he wasn’t sure WHAT was happening to it but it seemed some how to be being disassembled?
Aizawa felt a shot of alarm.
There was a hiss in his pod and his eyes drifted closed despite his best efforts.
He woke in a cell. The formerly injured civilian and the younglings.
This did NOT bode well.
There were three more people in their own cell that he didn’t recognise.
He’d been left in his ‘uniform’ and with his Capture Weapon.
Only… his weapon was more resonpsive than ever, he freaked himself out at the feel of an eye lid crossing vertically across his eyes and his cell mates out when his Quirk self activate at the formerly injured ‘not really a civilian’ who had tried to activate their gas based Quirk.
The fuck!
He was not the only one to be snatched.
The former Hawks and Dabi had both been snatched. Kurogiri, who was now mostly Oboro, again too.
What. The actual. FUCK.
Shouta was getting more and more freaked out as he went!
It seemed Earth wasn’t well known on the galactic stage. It was counted as a death world and the whole solar system interdicted. The only reason the planet hadn’t been glassed was that they showed no interested in getting off world, more interested in fighting eachother.
That meant for a renegade like the one that had ‘collected’ and tweaked them, it was pretty much ripe for their use.
No monitoring and no way to track them down. None of those taken had ever really escaped and none had returned to their world once taken.
Shouta determined to be the first. His problem children needed him and so did Tensei and Hizashi especially with the loss of Nemuri.
By hook or by crook, he was going to go HOME.
Dabi and Hawks, or rather, Keigo, were less enthused but the kids deserved a chance to be kids rather than cage fighters.
If they could get this being to work WITH them, they might have a way to help the victims that had been combined into Nomu but first they had to convince the being they were sentient beings with all the rights, privileges and responsibilities that entitled.
Most of those it had ‘uplifted’ to date the loyalty compulsion had fully taken on and they didn’t attempt to fight either their handlers or the scientist itself even if they escaped.
Apparently it hadn’t worked on may psychically Quirked subjects before, especially one with a nullifiying Quirk.
Shouta might not want to lead, more accostomed to working solo and in the dark, but if none of the others would step up, he would…
(Does eventually manage to get back to a rather messed up Earth but found that Nedzu wasn’t actually a Quirked animal, but rather a ‘stranded cough in hiding cough alien who had ‘brother selves’ dotted over the cozmos… and found the idea of Pro Heroes very interesting.
Contact was established through the local version of ‘Nedzu’ they met. A being called Rato. They were passed through Mys, Gurdien, Topo, Luch, Pele, Nas, Miske and Raton. Then onto Sycan, Fare, Iole, Beurit, Isumu, Tetikus and Kiore… and each and every one of them looked and acted like the Principal, only without the suit and the scar.
It was CREEPY.
They were all VERY interested in what their ‘renegade’ family member had been up to and to try this ‘tea’ he apparently downed like it was going out of style.
Each of ‘Nedzu Knockoff’ - Dabi’s words, got them closer to home so it was worth it.
Nedzu wasn’t best pleased to be busted but for one of his favorites back he was willing to suck it up. Perhaps a network for stolen humans could be set up…)
To Aizawa’s bemusement and disgruntlement, he became the face of humanity among the Nezu’s… There were cat people out here. CAT PEOPLE. Not exactly but he was cat deprived and his fingers twitched every time they came close.
Also, not only were humans the weird ones out here, but humans were Space Fae… and possibly Space Orcs.
Who knew the rest of the universe was so… squishy… and breakable.
Aizawa just wanted to go home and make sure his problem children were okay… and especially find his number one Problem Child who went Awol in an attempt to draw attention away from his classmates… convinced his presence endangered them.
He has a Problem Student to smack upside the head…
Finding him again in the lab of the one who snatched him was NOT what Shouta had planned, especially when his Problem Child went slightly berserk, his very haunted, INHERITED? (who knew that was even possible?) Quirk objecting strenuously to any ‘modification’ attempts.
The Renegade almost got themselves killed fooling with that one and resolved to stick to lesser damaged specimens.
They hadn’t expected their ship to be boarded and for Aizawa to state ‘“How about you don’t do it at all?”
“But, but, all those wasted, damaged specimens! Their life forms have SO MUCH variety and divergence. It would NEVER run out of material. It would be such a WASTE not to study this biodiversity! Most of the other species are well documented and it’s SO boring…”
Aizawa, a true student of Nedzu decides to sell his idea for all he's worth. The chaos potential is massive after all.
Had it ever thought of working WITH the people? There’s a whatever the hell Nedzu is on the planet it could make contact and work with since things are a bit chaotic in Japan right now and people would PAY it for having damaging Quirks modified or having their looks or Quirks enhanced so, if it can find something from Earth (besides the people) that it finds valuable, people will DO that.
Hell, people will trade THEMSELVES to be improved or to save a loved one…
It doesn’t necessarily HAVE to steal people. It could legitimately set up a business ON Earth and do this stuff without having to skulk about.
If it doesn’t CARE that Earth is an interdicted world anyway… what’s to stop it.
Earth might be too dangerous for it to visit directly but that hasn’t stopped it from collecting samples, has it?
It can even keep ties with the fighting ring smugglers it’s involved with for those who sign themselves over.
A stint of pit fighting or other things to test them and a chance to buy themselves back, or to have a Quirk added or strengthened and a lot of people, particularly the poor, would jump at the chance. It can hire people to work in it’s business and train them up or staff it with those it’s tweaked to.
Just… lay off the loyalty mind fuckery.
Money, a better life for themselves and a chance for improvement is enough to keep most people loyal.
Also, pick its targets more carefully. Villains and criminals are usually willing to screw over even those who have been helpful to them previously if they get a better offer.
Some are driven to Villainy by circumstances but a lot are simply opportunistic people.
It will… consider the points raised.
Meantime, Aizawa would like to take his Problem Child home now…
