Hermione looked at Harry she didn't want to lie Harry was her best friend, she took a deep breath and spoke she was shaking slightly "Harry I think, no I know I have a crush on" Hermione stopped Harry held up his hand. He looked at Hermione who was trembling and said "it's all right I know, I've noticed you looking at her, don't get me wrong at first I was shocked, but then when I thought about it it makes sense, she's intelligent, you go for girls, and I have noticed that you do seem to go for older women" Hermione grinned it was her intelligence that first caught her attention, but then she'd seen her with her hair down and realized that she was even more beautiful than she'd realised.
She decided to bite the bullet and write a letter to her, she was of age and if it didn't come to anything then at least she'd know and she'd be leaving in a few months. She took a piece of parchment and a quill and wrote.

I hope I am ok using your first name. I don't know if you have noticed but I've had a crush on you for months now, it was your intelligence that I first noticed closely followed by your compassion for every student, teacher and creature within the castle. I've seen the respect you show to everyone. I have also noticed how fearless you are, and beautiful I've always thought you were beautiful but when I saw you with your hair loose, your hair resembling starlight or a flowing waterfall, you looked amazing like an angel. I'm sorry if I've made you uncomfortable but I couldn't go on without telling you how I feel.

Hermione put the letter in an envelope and sealed it with wax, she slipped the letter under the door no turning back now. She went to the place she always felt safe, the library.
In the library she sat in her favourite chair that was tucked away in a cozy nuk. She was consulting two books one on healing charms and one on herbology, making notes. There was a growing stack of sheets of paper filled with notes.
Professor McGonagall had gotten back to her office after lunch and saw that a letter had been pushed under her door, using her wand she retrieved the letter and read, she sat down feeling a little giddy as she read. When she finished reading. She thought about Hermione, she was incredibly pretty and had one of the sharpest minds in the entire school.
In the library Hermione was startled when a gray and black cat jumped on to her lap, the younger girl put her book down stroked the cat and whispered with a smile "hello professor" the cat jumped down and transformed into professor McGonagall her hair was loose and flowing down her back. Hermione smiled "you look beautiful" she stood up and gently ran her fingers through the long hair. The older lady tucked Hermione's hair behind her ear, then let her hand follow the younger girls hairline round to her neck. They both new what was going to happen next but neither of them made any move to stop as they kissed. Hermione taking the lead and using tongues. When they finally broke apart they were both smiling knowing that this was the start of something special.
