What Am I Doing Here?
Soon after signing Harry was rushed to grab the necessities for himself and Teddy. He was then boarded onto a flying/invisible mound of metal? Harry was confused, muggles are weird. He was given a nice room with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a small kitchen. Still in his odd outfit of a tight sleeveless turtleneck and baggy cargo pants, Harry and Teddy were taken to meet the Avengers.
Spangles, Romanoff, a timid dude in purple, big hammer guy, random rich frat boy, and Fury sat around a table discussing topics unknown to Harry.
" 'Ello," Hary waved his hand as he mentally cursed his accent.
The avengers turned to look at Harry. Eyes narrowing in on Teddy. Apparently they were not informed about his godson.
"I'm Harry Potter and this is Teddy my godson. Now can someone please tell me why I'm here?"
"What you know about quantum physics?" Frat boy asked.
"Jack shit," Harry replied without missing a beat.
"What about magical alien tech?" Purple dude asked.
"I can take a look but i promise nothing," Harry shrugged.
Harry handed Teddy to Romanoff. The woman had been extremely helpful with Teddy when they were moving their stuff and Harry had started to trust her with Teddy. Fury nodded to an agent off to the side. She led Harry along with frat boy and purple dude to where the Tesseract was being held. As soon as they stepped into the room Harry could feel it's power, luring him-no his magic in. Just like with the green dude. Harry who had learned from last time, stumbled back and tried to get out of the room.
"Whoa you good, magic man?" Frat boy asked.
Harry pushed the door open, gasping for air.
"That thing….it tried to-" Harry stopped abruptly, realizing something.
He raced back to the conference room, getting lost a couple of times. Why do muggles make flying metal so complicated! When he finally found the room he demanded to see the green man.
"Who?" Spangles asked confusion written on everyone's faces.
"The man in green," Harry sighed exasperated," The one that tried to kill me!"
"You are taking about my brother son of Potter!" Hammer guy almost shouted.
"I don't need his family tree I need to see him!" Harry snapped now frustrated.
Fury raised an eyebrow but motioned for Harry to follow him. Fury lead him through so many doors and security checks Harry lost count.
"I don't know what that cube did to you or what it made you realize but Loki took control of one of my best agents with the power of that cube, be careful I cannot lose another asset," Fury warned. He handed Harry a file. Harry nodded before entering the room.
The man was still in green long robes. His long, black hair slicked back. The man now identified as Loki turned to stare at Harry.
"You," Loki whispers.
"Me," Harry quipped. "Harry Potter. There wasn't much time to introduce ourselves last time we saw each other."
"No, I don't suppose there was," Loki said. The confusion written on his face almost made Harry laugh.
"And you are?" If Harry was right then, he needed a bond with the god or to get him mad enough that Harry could help him
"Loki. Did no one tell you who I was before they let you in here or are you just stupid?" Loki was getting frustrated. Why didn't this stupid wizard fear him?
"No, they told me who you are. Big, scary god who can control people, right?" Harry took the upset path. He's got 7 years of experience of pissing off Malfoy. A god with a huge ego is no problem. He opened the file with Loki's information in it.
"Frankly I don't see what all the hype is about. Only 80 kills in 2 days? From what I heard your brother Thor-"
"He's not my brother!" Loki snapped. Harry rolled his eyes.
"Adopted, whatever, no one cares about your tragic backstory. Anyways Thor would have been told to return and not come back until he killed more. Isn't that right?"
"He would've been congratulated and feasts would have been thrown once he returned with more kills," Loki seethed.
"This is all about you proving that you're better than you're brother. Boohoo my brother got so much more attention from daddy dearest, I've got to prove I'm better than him. With all of this in mind why didn't you kill more people?" Harry was close and he knew it.
"K-kill more-more-" Loki was shocked. Why did this mortal want him to kill more innocents?!
"Yes kill more people. Do you want to know what I think?" Harry paused. " I think you're just a scared little boy. I think you just want to be held by your mother and told how perfect you are. I think killing is way out of your comfort zone of books and magic. I think you are way in over you're head and you have no way out. I think you're drowning in the power of the tesseract and you lost your control of that power a long time ago." Loki was seething, pacing furiously, the last comment had him tapping his finger on his leg. All he needed was one little push. "Are you out of control, little boy?"
"I AM IN CONTROL! THIS CHAOS IS ME! I CREATED THIS FEAR!" Loki raored. Loki was so focused on Harry he forgot his mental barriers. So using what little Professor Snape thought him, Harry casted legimance on the god.
Harry pushed past the cloud in his mind. Thoughts and memories exploded around him.
Loki?
You…You found me.
Did you hear any of our earlier conversation?
I could only watch. I have no control!
Loki's voice sounded desperate like he was begging.
The tesseract is taking control again i can't stop it this time.
No! Please don't leave me!
I'm going to free you. I promise that. Trust me Loki
I-
The tesseract had taken control again. Harry was pushed out of Loki's mind.
"Sorry for the headache Lokes," Harry said before striding out of the room.
A door slammed across the hall, the avengers along with Fury stepped out.
"What the hell was that?!" Frat boy demanded
"It was me doing my job," Harry snapped."Hedwig!"
"Who?" Frat boy asked.
Hedwig whooped from her perch on a tense Romanoff. Teddy was reaching out to Harry. Harry took Teddy from her and Hedwig transferred to his shoulder.
"Hey Little bit, did you miss me?" Teddy giggled and snuggled into Harry's chest.
"I need to send for someone," Harry said.
They walked to the conference room and Harry grabbed paper and awkwardly grabbed a pen.
"What were you thinking? Getting Loki all riled up like that!" Spangles needed to shut up in Harry's opinion.
"I needed him upset so I could get past his mental barriers," Harry explained.
"His what?"
"Mental barriers. He was being controlled by the tesseract. What he's doing is not his own will," Harry explained.
"And how did you come by that, wizard?" Frat boy snarked.
"The tesseract was luring my magic the first time I met Loki. It then attacked me, trying to grab a hold on it and control me. Later when I was in the room with it the pull was much stronger and I had to fight to stay away. Considering that Loki attacked me with magic, I assumed that Loki had the same experience and he succumbed to its power."
The avengers looked at each other in shock. Harry finished his letter and tied it to Hedwig's leg with a green ribbon.
"You know who to take this to." Hedwig flew off to deliver the letter.
"I'm sorry did you just send a letter with an owl?" Frat boy asked.
"Yeah?" Harry looked at him quizzically. "While we're waiting, why don't we do introductions 'cause I have no idea who you guys are." Harry pointed to frat boy, big hammer dude, and timid guy in purple. Frat boy just looked at him in shock.
"I'm Doctor Bruce Banner," timid guy in purple said.
"I'm Thor Odinson, Prince of Asgard, God of Thunder, and brother to Loki," hammer guy said.
"Wait- Are you serious?! You don't know me?!" Frat boy asked in utter disbelief. Harry rolled his eyes.
"I'm a wizard, I hardly care enough to keep up with my celebrities, why would I care about a muggle one?" Harry asked.
"Well I'm Tony Stark genius, billionaire, Playboy, philanthropist," Frat boy said, still quite shocked.
"Modest too," Harry mumbled. This got a chuckle from spangles.

30 minutes later, the Avengers who had been discussing and sharing information with Harry heard a loud crack sounded from the doorway.
"This better not be a waste of time Potter," the voice of Harry's former professor drawled from the doorway.
