Who is Voldemort?
*February 1973*
Minnie floated around the next couple weeks on the high and joy of her being able to find Poppy a gift she enjoyed. She thinks some of the students notice her joy as well, she’s had a few students whisper, which is unusual however the contents of the whispers are. Students who don’t always do best in their classes are now speculating on weather or not they could do better on exams with her new “attitude”, but strangely she doesn’t matter for these comments and just moves on pretending she out of ear shot.

Classes soon rap up for the day and Minerva goes on with her typical routine. She grades assignments, reads, all before the time for dinner.
She continues on in the corridor to the great hall admiring the portraits. She often wonders about the classification of weather or not the people in said portraits are alive, dead or somewhere in between. As she reaches the hall she can physically feel an adjustment in the atmosphere that happens very rarely. There is something wrong. More students than usually have parchment with news on it out. It’s not uncommon for there to be a few sixth or seventh years with it out but now even some second and third years do too. As they aren’t causing much commotion, and more just reading, she doesn’t see why she should stop them. She takes her usual place next to Poppy, whom also has parchment out.
“What’s all the commotion about?”
“There’s a strange article in the paper, hold on a second I’m almost done reading it then you can.”
Minnie traced in fingers around her plate and utensils as she patiently waited for Poppy to her the parchment.
As her right index finger almost finished its fourth lap around the plate. Poppy stretches her hand out to Minerva, who gently takes it from her hand while nodding her head in thanks.
She reads the title to the article,
Who is Voldemort?
Why on earth would anyone name their child that, it’s an ugly name was Minerva’s first thoughts on the article.
Tom Riddle, a wizard from east Wales, who is calling himself “Voldemort” is currently begging to challenge the wizarding community with his ideals of the use of the dark arts, and has been attempting to get others to join him.
What is the use of this? Why must he do this? Does he not understand the dangers of the dark arts? Of course Minnie knew lightly of these things, such of Tom- or Voldemort was causing some trouble but she never imagined it would grow to this length.
She looked up to Poppy as if she had answers but only got a clueless shrug back from her. She wondered what anyone was going to do about this.

After Dinner, Poppy made her way back with Poppy to the hospital wing as the conversed about the man in the article.
“Why is he doing this?” Minerva asked.
“Not a clue.” Poopy answered.
They continued their walk fairly silently, as they were both trying to come up with answers. They walked close together, maybe too close. Their knuckles occasionally grazing the others’. Minerva was scared, almost as if she was a young girl again. She wanted to hang onto Poppy’s hand as though it would protect not only her but the whole world from Voldemort. She knew there was very little to worry about, at least as for right now. But it still bothered her, maybe it’s because she couldn’t fathom any reason as to why someone would do this.
“It’s all just worrisome.” Minerva told Poppy.
“I know.”
